Truly, this was just a book about the Paleo diet. I’m Paleo, so it worked for me, but others may be put off by it. It’s chock full of interesting tidbits and recipes. While I did write down a few recipes, many were not what I was looking for. I prefer simple recipes with few ingredients and many of the recipes in this book have a long list of ingredients. For those starting out on a Paleo diet, this would be helpful.
This book explains Hashimotos very well, including the symptoms and causes of it. There’s also a good description of the paleo diet and why it’s good for thyroid patients plus a paleo cookbook. The cookbook is half the total book. I’ve only made two recipes so far (mu shu pork and jicama “rice”) but they were both good. I’ve highlighted many more.
Im not sure about this book. At one point she says carbs are important but the whole book is mainly encouraging people to try the paleo diet. I dont know if I learned anything useful to implement.
