Lyn Gardner is the author of Olivia’s First Term and the other Olivia books. She was born in London and now lives near Richmond Park with her partner and two daughters. A theatre critic for The Guardian, she goes to the theatre five or six nights a week, which should leave no time for writing books at all. Before she became a journalist, Lyn was a tea lady, a waitress and sold advertising space for a magazine called Sludge. Her ambitions are to learn to tap dance and walk the high wire, but it may have to be the low wire as she is a bit scared of heights!
Such an amazing 2nd book that just made me fall even more in love with these incredible characters, writing, & story. Loved the direction this one took, all the twists & turns. Some amazing acts at the theatre in here, new amazing characters to meet, including a whole new amazing cast of suspects to go with the incredible new murder mystery. This one kept me guessing, & I had to keep reading. Loved this so much. Another BEAUTIFUL cover by Jez Tuya too.💜
When I first picked this book up I only briefly looked at it so didn't see that it was part of the series. Annoyingly this was the second and I had not read the 1st so when I first started reading it felt as if you were drowning in characters !! At one point I did think of giving up reading because it was very confusing but I am so glad i didn't !! A very enjoyable book (perfect for winter nights) ;) and I am SO glad Lydia was caught !
