Well imagine my surprise when I get an ARC from my favorite one-click author, Jayne Blue for Stripped. Didn't get a blurb, but that didn't matter...it's Jayne Blue, I am going to read it!
More surprises as I start to read it, I start recognizing the name, Zeke Powell...where do I know that name? Then I read, he was also known as the "Preacher's Son"; well holy sh*t on a shingle!!!! This is the Preacher's son from HOLD!!!! WINNING! I didn't even realize what I had just unwrapped!
So this story is Zeke (swoon, hot hot hot), hold on while I fan myself!!! And Joelle, in true Jayne Blue fashion, is a tough of nails, headstrong heroine, looking to get her life together and become a true mother to her little girl.
As always, with Jayne books, I read this in one sitting. I enjoyed the book. I cheered, I got angry, I had to fan myself, and was sad when it ended....because the book is over, and now I have to wait for her next great book (I think it's a Great Wolves book YIKES!!! I can't wait). I definitely recommend this series, the Hold trilogy, Great Wolves (Grr) and Ride! Read them ALL!!!

This is the story of Zeke, who is an underground MMA fighter, who has been stripped of everything due to family issues, and Joelle, who is a dancer in a club, and is just trying to get her life back on track. These two characters have an instant and intense chemistry between them, despite being in a relationship is the last thing that Joelle wants.
This is a well written, intriguing, sexy, and fascinating read. I was enthralled throughout. I recommend this authors work for all, and I cannot wait to read more of her work.

Two people stripped of their pride and self worth, through the actions of those they trusted, end up coming together at a Night club, where they had just been employed.
As both of them had their own trust issues, their road was filled with potholes, which one or other seemed to be bogged down in.
However, both were fighters, in their own way, and both had their own moral code, which they strictly adhered to. Over the time, they sorted themselves out, as well as helping their friends, along the way.

Stripped was good . If you read Hold then you know Zeke Powell the MMA fighter that had a thing for Flynn's girl Cassidy and we all know how that ended. Blue now gives us Zeke's story, he is blond, sexy and no longer considered "the good guy" , he has changed since his father's betrayal. While he is fighting in the underground world he meets the beautiful ballerina named Joelle. This story is lighted than Ride book one of Uncaged Series. This can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading Hold first so you can see Zeke's entire story. Stripped is set in the same timeline as book 1 Ride. Happy Reading

I'm so happy that Zeke got his story! He needed to get away from his evil preacher dad! If haven't heard of Zeus before his story then you need to read The Hold Trilogy which is Craddock Flynn's story but Zeke is introduced in this trilogy. Read the trilogy to find out where Zeke begins. As always Jayne Blue you've got two thumbs up and recommendations from me!

I was gifted a copy and decided to leave a review.
This was an interesting book, and kept me wondering how everything would turn out. There were some things that bothered me about it, but overall the plot flowed nicely and it was well written. Zeke and Joelle took a bit of time for me to warm up to, but they both won me over by the end of the book, and I was happy to see them get their HEA.

"The Preacher's Son" meets the Stripper. The only thing that can come of that is Healing and Love! A MUST READ!
You can read Stripped as a standalone novel. However, this is not the first time Jayne Blue writes about Zeke Powell. His story began in the “Hold series” however, you are NOT missing anything by reading this book first.
This book is about two people, Zeek and Joelle who have MUCH to overcome. Will their pasts come back to haunt them or will they be able to get over the hurdles that their pasts have placed before them?
I LOVED how these two characters interacted with one another. Their chemistry was realistic. It was sweet, fun and of COURSE hot, sexy and steamy. The storyline was VERY well written with characters that you can relate to and like immediately. I was able to actually feel how Zeek and Joelle were feeling. Their pain and successes felt like my own. I cheered with them and cried with them.
I LOVED this book and when I started reading it couldn't put it down. Now I have to go and read the Hold series to see how Zeke got to the point he began this book at.

Two people down on their luck both putting family first what could be sadder than that. This was an emotional read of two giving their all never looking back just heading forward trying to make the best of their life. Joelle had the life but got caught up with the wrong man losing everything. She now strips in a club to make a living to support her daughter. Zeke was also living the life close to becoming an MMA fighter but when you are the preacher’s son and he doesn’t hold up his end being next to godly you lose it all and leave town. Now fighting in the underground he sees Joelle and can’t take his eyes off her. When they finally met the attraction is off the chart. They is so much against them can they make ago of it with all this passion and start over making a HAE?
I really like the chemistry between these two, there is no doubt it is hot, sexy and steamy. Parts for me were a little confusing but for the most part I thought this was well written with really likeable characters that you can relate to. If you think you life is hard read this and you will see how hard life can get. I really got into this story and could feel each characters pain. Joelle was a stripper and she new that this was not the last stop she was going to do something different she had a little girl and she had thought she was in love with a bad boy but it was a mistake and she was not going to get going with another bad boy especially a bad boy MMA fighter not matter what he makes her feel right. Zeke Powell was a very powerful MMA fighter and he hit rock bottom her lost everything he had his carree and his family so he fights underground fights and he still gets them down but one night at a strip club he sees Joell and everything changes and it is for the good. I liked this story. It was a good and entertaining read most of the time with a few scenes here and there that didn’t quite grab my attention but did pick back up.
I liked these characters and the chemistry they had with each other. Zeke was so caring and sweet even with his sexy and bad wild side. I liked how when he finally got over what happened in his past, he knew what he wanted and went for it. I think Joelle did over-react a lot throughout the book at little things (understandable considering her past but still a bit annoying) but I did grow and ended up loving her as a character. I thought her and Zeke were great together. And little Larissa.. she was so cute!
Can’t wait to read the next in the series

I really enjoyed this story; MMA is one of my favorite sports. It’s got lots of action, drama, backstabbing bitches and some down and dirty rear naked chokes… and some frontal naked chokes too! I loved that both characters were able to overcome their pasts with each other’s help. Yes, the heroine needed to prove she could take care of herself without help and prove herself strong, but emotional help is something she needs to accept too. The hero being a bad assed MMA fighter and the son of a preacher man has his own demons to battle. This is a fast paced story well worth the read; I look forward to reading more in this series.

Zeke Powell is an underground MMA fighter, once he was a somebody in the world of the MMA fighting league, then he was stripped of everything. Joelle is a dancer in a club, she's trying to get her life back on track and definitely not looking for a relationship. Can they hope for a HEA or will life conspire against them? Zeke and Joelle are great characters, with a good storyline that's well written, sexy and exciting. It was nice to see some characters from previous books making an appearance, it's good catching up with old friends. I would definitely recommend this book.

Great job! Zeke Powell "The Preacher's Son" rises from the ashes of his father's scandal. Still sexy and still fighting. But now he's moved on from coveting his teammate's girl to finding his own. Read as he fights his way back into legitimate fighting rings and fights for his girl. Stripped is hot and sexy and yet brings in the gentleman Zeke was raised as despite his father's sins. Jayne Blue did another great job at a Great Wolves MMA sport!

Zeke and Joelle are not happy with their current situations. They both are pushed into jobs to survive and make a living. Past mistakes led them to this new reality. When they meet, the attraction is strong but they have to overcome a lot to make it work.
I enjoyed the story and the characters. It is a well-written story and there is plenty of chemistry and romance. These two really connect right away and give some hope for a better life for them both.

Entertaining
I am a huge fan of Jayne Blue but for some reason this book was just so-so for me. I don't even know if it's the book or me. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the hero and heroine, the words and the scenarios were there but it felt formulaic to me and pretty predictable. At the end, my reaction was:" that was cute", not exciting or mysterious or passionate, just cute.
Still a big fan, just figure no one hits a home run every time at bat.

We'll Figure It Out

I'm a fan of Jayne Blue books but hadn't read any of her other MMA stories (yet) so I can happily tell you that you that this book can easily be read as a standalone. A wonderful story about two very strong characters who are individually struggling with what life is throwing at them. Together they are a force. I loved Joelle's seriously strong character. Great read.

I have enjoyed all of Jayne Blue's books and I enjoyed this one as well. Loved Zeke and Joelle and the entire story line. I would have given this book four stars if it were not for the immense amount of editing errors in this book. I have never had one of Ms Blue's books with editing this poor.

Clearly not what I was expecting. Story is really plain, I really loved Torrid Saga from the same author, but this book didn't reach the expectations I had for it. It's not poorly written, but the catch of the story is nearly inexistent.

February 25, 2018This is not nearly the quality of other Jayne Blue books. This book seems to have been written in a hurry without even any spellcheck or grammar check. If this is the first book you've read by Jayne Blue, know that her other books are much better. Disappointed in the effort that went into this one.
