Mason Hale only spent a few months in prison, but the entire time he only had one thing on his mind.
Vengeance.
He'd come back to his troubled town - full of gossips, hate mongers and useless cops - with all sorts of plans. He wanted payback for the betrayal that landed him behind bars.
But none of his plans included meeting Holly.
As soon as she entered his life, things became more complicated than they already were.
Suddenly every move he made seemed to just put her in danger, and risking her wasn’t an option.
Everything and everyone was telling him he needed to make a choice. He needed to choose between having her in his life and getting the vengeance that so consumed him.
Wasn't there a way to get both?

Holly is starting over, she is moving on in her life, trying to anyway. She is working at a little diner, barely making ends meet, but surviving. She left Jeremy who took her down the wrong path and has mentally damaged her and left scars. But that is behind her and she is her own person. At least that is what she thought going into work tonight.
Mason is being released from jail right now, he knows he was set up and he WILL get Jeremy for rolling over on him. He gets a ride from the stripper he associates with for a quick one, and then it is back to home. He dreads that part, but does it. Now he is to face his two brothers. One puts him to work on the house the three share. Then he hears that Holly has broke from from Jeremy and will not go back to him. Perfect, someone he will be able to question about the snitch that put him away....but does she help him out?
Mason has his work cut out for him, this revenge and all. But he knows just the person to help him out, that would be Holly. He gets into a little bit of an altercation at the hardware store, but that is resolved quickly. Now it is off to the diner. He knows that she works there because he used his trusty source to help him find her.....that would be Holly's Grandma. But in the "deal" he promised Holly's grandmother he would watch out for Holly and keep her safe. He never breaks his word. While he has no plans thought through he only seeks revenge, not anything else. So why is it that while he is talking with Holly at the diner, things feel different. He knew her sort of in school, and knows she is not with Jeremy anymore, but he is feeling a bit more possessive of her.
Holly has no use for anything related to Jeremy or that type of criminal past. She wants to stay as far away from all of it as she can. She is stunned and scared to see Mason in a booth at the diner she works at. Even more nervous when he asks her to sit and talk with him.....what does he want? Is he going to bully her like the other "friends" of Jeremy? Great more stress. She sits and talks, tells Mason straight out she will have nothing to do with her ex again, and she is not going to help Mason. Things seem to not stay as resolved with her the more she talks with Mason, and she finds herself helping him a little.
Now Mason and Holly are talking and he comes over to her apartment. One thing leads to another and they end up together. Nervous he leaves, she feels used and hurt but she wants more of him., he is confused and yet is sure he wants more. There are a few days to think things through a little bit and then they hook up again. This time he leaves the next day, reluctantly. Now there is danger, someone shows up to scare her, but only to get a message to Mason....she tries to call Mason for help, his phone is dead. Now what? She reaches out to his brother to get to Mason, and ....... you will need to read this book to get the rest of this.
There are twists that go from here too, and you will be right there with them through it all. You will find it hard to put the book down while going through these twists and the outcomes. Too good to put down, too good to not read and wish for more, like I did.

Mason spent over two months, of a six month sentence, in county jail and was finally out. He went away for planning a bank robbery, but he was set up by his accomplice. Holly works at the diner. She left her ex Jeremy because they had a difference of opinion...like, he thought robbing a bank was a good idea, and she didn't. Oh, and the fact that he's hanging out with racists now. Although she has left Jeremy, she is not far from his orbit; they still live in the same town. Mason knows Jeremy, and Jeremy is the reason Mason went to jail. Holly also happens to be Mason's high school crush, except Jeremy got the girl and those seem to be good enough reasons for revenge in Mason's book. Mason needs to convince Holly to help him. Mason trusts her, but knowing his past with Jeremy, she does not trust Mason. Holly is reluctant, but he gives in. Mason doesn't seem like a criminal even though he was locked up. Holly is attracted to him. Mason treats her with kindness and respect, something she is not used to. Holly agrees that Jeremy needs to pay for, not only what he's done to Mason, but also what he's done to her. Jeremy has his friends harassing her, at the diner, almost daily and she fears for her life. Mason and Holly set out to track down Jeremy, but trouble is not far behind them. One night, Holly and Mason go too far and become intimate, which puts Holly back on Jeremy's radar. Mason wants Holly but he knows he must keep her safe. How can he protect her and be with her when he's in a war with her ex? Mason has a strong case for revenge, but Holly has an equally strong case for peace. Every time Mason goes after Jeremy it makes it worse for Holly to be rid of her ex. Mason is unwittingly bringing Jeremy back into Holly's life. Will they ever come to an agreement or will Mason's hunger for payback ruin them both? THIS BOOK HAS A VERY ORIGINAL STORYLINE WITH WELL WRITTEN, AWESOME CHARACTERS ! HOLLY AND MASON HAD AMAZING CHEMISTRY THAT DEVELOPED INTO HOT AND STEAMY SEX ! THE STORY FLOWED AND THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS WAS GREAT ! I hope Eric and Axel get books.....I want to know why Eric is so guarded, while Axel is carefree and happy go lucky. GREAT READ ! ! !
Mason Hale is a good guy. Smart, loyal, handsome, honest and sweet when he wants to be. He also, however got in with the wrong crowd and made a really stupid decision regarding committing a crime with this wrong crowd and they set him up to take the fall. Mason just finished serving his time in prison and is out for vengeance. He's determined to blind side the guys who hung him out to dry, but in order to get the one step ahead of them, he needs information.
He finds this information in Holly, who is recently seperated from the ringleader and has buckets of dirt on this guy. She however fears for her safety (rightfully so) as her ex is watching her every move and even sending in scum to hassle her at work. She is extremely afraid of being brought back into the life of crime with her abusive ex, but she eventually takes a chance on Mason and helps him out. Mason vows to keep her safe, but it's a tougher promise to keep than he anticipated.
Mason and Holly grow closer as they work together, but after a life threatening scare when her ex gets too close for comfort, she tells Mason that she's out. She's done putting herself back in the line of fire. She wants to Mason to choose between getting revenge or loving her. She doesn't want to be in the middle anymore and Mason needs to make a decision.
Will he choose safety in Holly's loving arms or will he continue to seek vengeance and lose everything?
This is a smart, sexy and suspenseful novel by two authors who are new to me. :)
I loved this book and I really, really hope the other 2 Hale boys will get their own love stories. I feel like we already know them quite well and would be so excited to see them find their happily ever afters! :)
Standalone with HEA! No cliffhanger!
I volunteered to review an advance copy of this book
What started out to be a mission of revenge, ends in karma well served. After a two month prison term, Mason Hale is released, admitting he’s made one of the dumbest mistakes of his life. He knew it was a bad idea getting caught up in a circle of low lifes, scheming to rob a bank. Desperate enough for money, Mason agrees but gets caught red-handed with the plans for the robbery, as he realizes his partners sell him out, literally, throwing him under the bus to take the fall.
Still reeling from the loss of his parents, Mason believes he’s adrift and directionless in the small town he’s grown up in. He’s determined to get justice, and rid his home town of criminal bullies, but he’ll need help from his brothers, and Holly Knight.
Holly finally leaves her abusive relationship. When her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy, betrays Mason, she’s had enough of their dead-end relationship. But she can’t seem to escape her past, when Mason shows up on her doorstep. They dance around each other a bit, and the sexual tension between them simmers. Holly has always liked Mason, finding him kind and gentle, something she’s craved in a man. Will Mason help protect her from her ex? And with the help of Holly, can Mason redeem himself and his family name.
Love and Vengeance is intriguing with a solid plot. The writing is fluid, but I felt the pacing at the beginning seemed to lag, losing a bit of my focus as I read on about Mason trying to hatch up a plan for justice, but is left clueless other than finding the whereabouts of Jeremy and Kevin, his partners in crime. I liked the sexy scenes between Holly and Mason, and wanted more about their connection. I just loved that twist towards the end, just when things were looking bleak for Mason and Holly. That just brought everything together. Wonderful epilogue, and I hope the other Hale brothers get their story.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so trippy and crazy, but so good at the same time. I have to say that the story of vengeance is what made me really enjoy this book. Mason is having a hard time getting over being set up and his willingness to do anything to get payback on the ones responsible for him going to jail. I loved the inner struggle with wanting to keep Holly safe and his actions having a direct impact on her without even realizing it. I also liked the small town fell in this book. Everyone knows everyone and their business, no to mention the famous Hale brothers. Although the relationship between Mason's brothers were complicated I really loved Axel and Eric (which I really wish to see stories from them as well), they were good brothers to Mason with very different personalities that influenced Mason to become a better man and make the right decisions.
I had a hard time liking Holly because I thought she was too hard on Mason and would come off as bitchy and judgmental. I completely understood her weariness of him. I just wanted her to be stronger and stand up for herself. I think Sasha did a great job with her character who was in a abusive relationship with a not so nice person. I like being able to see authors put that into perspective in books. I empathized with Holly because of it.
I think this a great romance with its touch of vengeance that sheds a light on what people are willing to risk and the lengths their willing to go to for vengeance. It was spot on in this book and Mason's motivation was new and fresh and had me completely nodding my head in understanding. Loved this book. Hoping really bad to see more of the Hale brothers.
Mason Hale was being processed out of jail, noting that $20 of his cash was missing since he went in 2 months ago. Not likely he would ever get it back. Delilah came to pick him up. After spending the night with her, he made his plans for reconnecting with his brothers. Because of a stupid choice, he had put the family at risk. He knew this confrontation would not go well.
Holly was a waitress, down on her luck. Her feet ached from the shoes she wore, but she couldn’t afford to replace them. A group of men walked into the diner and she headed over to their table – but she stopped short as she recognized her ex’s friends who took pleasure in giving her a hard time. It was definitely going to be a rough day! She did not want Jeremy back in her life and was trying to keep out of their sight.
After she got home, Mason came by to ask for help finding Jeremy. She angrily told him she was out of that mess and could do nothing for him. He asked for more details about the guys causing trouble for her in the diner. Then later he recognized them and warned them off. What will he pursue now? Vengeance against Jeremy and the gang? Or is Holly becoming someone important in his life, worthy of his attention and protection?
I enjoyed this book very much. I liked the Hale family members and hope the others get a book. It was definitely worth reading this one and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.

What will Mason Choose Love or Vengeance? >-< >-< >-< >-< >-<>-< >-< >-< >-< >-< >-< >-< >-< What I liked/Didn’t Like: This was my first book by these authors and I loved it. The story was well written and moved along at a good pace. A definite must read.
This is my first book to read by Sasha and Aubrey and of course I am sucker for a bad boy romance story. I love it when the bad boy is bad and the girl can’t resist him no matter how much danger he puts her into. These two put together a very good book and I is one I will recommend to my friends.
Mason Hall is after the people who set him up and put him in jail. He may not have been in jail long but he had plenty of time to stew and plan his vengeance on the men who set him up. He came from a town full of haters, gossips, and no good cops. His family life wasn’t any better. His mother died early and his dad ruined his family. Mason is in a bad way and just Can’t seem to get past the need for vengeance. Holly is in a bad relationship and had the need to get out of it. Mason’s life became more complicated when Holly came into it. He is trying to help Holly who is being harassed by her ex…who happens to be the guy who set Mason up. Holly and Mason have a relationship that could totally work, but with his need for vengeance will he be able to keep Holly safe, and can he have both, love and Vengeance? Oh, trust me when I say this one you need to read.
No Spoilers. Advanced Reader copy read voluntarily
Loved this book! Will admit first chapter was kind of iffy with me, BUT they weren't together so I was able to overlook it. Loved how they both had feelings previously that they hadn't acted on. With Mason growing up the youngest of three, I could understand his need to prove himself and step out of his brothers shadows. While I agree what he did was stupid, he paid his time. Holly and Mason both wanted to get vengeance which made it the perfect way to fall in love. Hollys vengeance for how she and others were treated and Masons for being set up to take the complete fall. I admired Holly when she knew it was time to take a step back and that it was to dangerous. When Mason wanted to continue to go the illegal way, I wanted to ring his neck and was happy when Eric was able to talk him around logically. This book ended with their love and the vengeance for everyone who had been wronged the proper way. I loved it and would highly recommend it! I volunteered to review an advance copy of this book

Mason and Holly's story was truly a story of love, and how that love could be destroyed with vengeance or can blossom with facing yourself. It smacked a bit of real small town living for bad boys and the conflicts they face The stigma that falls on some people in a small town after their mistakes is only a small part. The real issue in "Love & Vengeance" is on Mason, the bad boy, and how he reacts after his stint in the county jail. Holly and Mason's brothers work hard to get thru to him, but Mason sees vengeance as his way to get his exoneration. I loved that the story dealt with the issues of Mason and how he finally worked his way to coming back and being the man he wants to be. Holly and Mason's story is just a bit different than the typical romance story. Of course, in the end, we do have a great HEA for Mason and Holly. I can't wait to read about Mason's brothers, Eric and Axel. I would like to thank the authors for gifting me with an Advanced Reader Copy of "Love and Vengeance". I was not compensated in any way, but only asking for my honest opinion. This is mine. 4 Stars!
How far would you go to get revenge on the people who set you up?
This is what Mason has to decide when he gets out of prison. He's full of anger and bitterness, and doesn't mind who he hurts...until he meets Holly....
What follows is not a typical love story. Mason and Holly are good together but he can't protect her as he promised...he risks losing her.
We see his inner turmoil, his reluctance to give up his need for revenge, it was what kept him going in prison....and we see the effect it has on Holly and his brothers.
The plot moves along at a fair pace and I became invested in the main characters, despite their flaws.
Some of the minor characters were a little "cookie cutter" but this did not spoil my overall enjoyment of the story.
Yes, there was violence and sex but only as much as you would expect in a story with these themes and milieu.
Mason Hale is set up and sent to jail for planning a bank robbery, while in jail he decided to get vengeance against the men responsible for setting him up. He had a hard childhood after his mother died and his father became a drunk and destroyed the family reputation. He is a good guy who just got caught up with the wrong crowd and now he is in a funk and can't seem to find a way past his need for revenge and justice. Mason tries very hard to do right for Holly who is being harassed. Holly was abused by her ex Jeremy, who set up Mason, and she is just starting to get her life back after leaving him. Holly and Mason both have a lot in common family wise, emotionally, and where they are together in their lives. They both mesh really well and I liked them as a couple. So the question remains which would you pick? Love or Vengeance..... maybe both. This was a great book and I hope the brothers get a book too. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
Love and Vengeance is the type of book you can sit down with and get lost in it for a few hours. I really enjoyed this book and hated being forced to put it down. Mason is a bad boy just out of prison with revenge on his mind. Holly is starting over and trying to keep her life peaceful. Mason and Holly know each from school but were never really friends. However there is undeniable chemistry between them when Mason asks Holly for help. She wants nothing to do with it but they are still drawn to each other. Mason is hot in a broody, smart, sexy way and Holly is beautiful, smart, and determined. I loved the slow and steady romance between them, the troubles they run into are heartbreaking at times but they come together in the sweetest way. Great HEA for Mason and Holly. I would definitely recommend this story! I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Mason has a choice to make, Holly or revenge. After spending time in jail after being framed Mason is angry and has been planning his vengeance but without completely understanding his choice. When he gets out of jail and meets Holly his choices are no longer clear.
With so much at stake he needs advice and turns to his brothers for help. Their family dynamic is amazing. Three brother with a family reputation that some love and others not so much.
I can't articulate how much I liked this book. The author created a wonderful story with family, choice and love. The lesson is we all make mistakes but they do not shape who we can be. Mason made a really bad decision even if it was for a understandable reason. He paid his dues and in the long run he learned a lot and gained even more.
When Mason is released from jail, all he can think about is revenge, even though he has no clear idea of how to accomplish it. When he begins to get close to Holly, a girl he's always been attracted to, his actions endanger her. Can he let go of his need for vengeance or will he risk losing the woman who's come to mean everything to him?
The characters are likable. There's something really genuine about them. They speak and act like real people. They aren't invincible or infallible and have real worries and emotions. One thing that stood out to me while reading this book is that Eric, Mason's oldest brother, is just crying out to have his story told! My overall feeling about this book is that it's slow paced but well written and a good read.

Mason this sexy bad boy who is fresh out of jail. He was set up and released becau a e of good behavior. He has one thing on his mind, revenge. Being a man he has one thing to get settled first, he needs a woman. With his plan in motion he shows up at Holly's door looking for her ex to get answers. Holly finally left her abusive ex after 5 years. When her abusive ex's plan back fires and shows up on her door step, she just wants him gone. When Mason goes and apoligizes, Holly reveals more than what she wanted to him. Mason wants to protect her at all cost.
I love my bad boys with a good side and Mason is an Alpha man. I loved how they both had equal parts in this book. Their back stories and the present parts. Its amazing to read. I loved this book so much.
This was a awesome book loved reading it a good bad boy he went to prison for something he did not do and when he come out he was going to find the guys that did it to him and take care of business but before he can find the men he comes up and see this beauty curvy women that used to go with the man that helped set him up for prison and he wants her so bad and he is going to get what he wants. This story about Mason Hale and Holly are so engaging you do not want to put the book down it is that good you read and read and then you see the time and were did it go lol. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and I loved it so much so awesome Michelle
This is the story of Mason who is set up by a friend Jeremy, for planning a bank robbery. While in jail he plans his vengeance against the men responsible for setting him up. Holly is starting over again after her abusive relationship with Jeremy. These two are great together, and can love overshadow vengeance? You really need to read this for yourself to find out!! This is a well written story, and I was hooked throughout. I loved the secondary characters in this story as well, and I hope that they each get their own story. This story flowed seamlessly and the authors have outdone themselves. Look forward to reading more from them both in the future.

While I loved it, Mason seems kind of shallow. After two months in jail, you would have thought he'd have some sort of plan for vengeance before being released. Holly is a strong well-developed character. She doesn't give herself enough credit! She is easily relatable. They make a great couple - Mason is sort of impulsive while Holly grounds him. You could feel the tension and chemistry between them. I was glad to see the relationship between Eric and Mason evolve as the story went on. Of course, I loved Axel! I was glad to see that everything turned out in the end.
What's more important? Love, or vengeance? That's the question facing Mason Hale. He gets out of jail and sets out on a quest for vengeance. He meets the ex of the man who put him in jail and asks her for help in finding him. Along the way feelings develop, though, and Mason will end up having to decide if his quest for vengeance is more important than what Holly wants, which is for him to stop and just allow them to be safe.
Love & Vengeance is a great read, well written with a nicely plotted storyline and interesting characters.
Months in jail, alone - betrayed. Now Mason is out and a plan for vengeance. Until Holly. A roller coaster ride of working the game to get retribution for being played, but on the other hand finding something real with a person he never anticipated having. Will he be able to make the right choice and live with the consequences?
A good read - I read it straight through front to back within hours. I just didn't want to put it down.

Mason served time due a lie and is out to get the man responsible. Holly is the ex of the man who set him up and wants her help. She was in a abusive relationship she has finally left and just wants some peace. Helping Mason puts her at risk and they have to decide what to do about the growing feelings between them.
I really liked the story and the characters. There are some surprises that keep it interesting and I really wanted these two to find real happiness. I hope to see more stories with these characters.
Mason was setup and sent to jail. After his release, all he could think about was getting revenge on the person that set him up. To do this he enlisted the help of Holly.
Holly has finally made a break from her abusive criminal now ex boyfriend Jeremy. Then Mason walks into her life wanting her help to find Jeremy so he can take his revenge.
However, when mason and holly realize they have feelings for each other will love win out over vengeance?
It is one of the few interesting books that I have read about a bad boy romance that that I really enjoyed reading. This book offers twists and turns, suspense, intrigue, some action, drama, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, the pace is steady and not rushed. The characters had needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a well written Bad Boy Ex-con Romance with a HEA.
I love being able to get lost in a book. It was a great way to spend my Saturday. The story line was great. I loved that Mason and Holly were attracted to each other in high school but didn't get together back then. That attraction only got stronger. Jeremy did them both wrong. Mason's need for revenge was strong. But do you choose love or vengeance? You get your happy ending but after several twists and turns...definitely read this book. I was given an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
I enjoyed this story. It has betrayal and hot steamy romance. I was hooked. Mason is setup and sent to jail. While in jail, Mason plans of his revenge. Holly trying to move on from her abusive past from her ex. Mason is out seeking Holly's help to find Holly's ex. The attraction is strong and chemistry undeniable. How far is Mason willing to go to get revenge on the people who set him up? Can he give up his plans for revenge for love? Or will he risk the chance of losing it? I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
In a lot of ways this books felt like a refreshing change to me. You still have the hot sexy bad boy and the beautiful girl he loves. That combo has no need to change. But I loved the almost vulnerability in Mason that you don't always see. He wasn't always so sure of himself, and I actually liked that. This couple felt more real to me. I really enjoyed this book. (The only reason of the 4 stars over 5, I really hate third person point of view books. That's all on me and has nothing to do with the author what so ever. It just bugs me to read. I'm weird.)
A wonderful book. This is the first book that I have read by Sash Paige. She did a wonderful job. Mason is strong, smart man that got caught up in something bad. Holly is a strong women that got herself out a bad relationship. The two of them have they ups and downs. Can love save all? Must read to find out. I can't wait to read about the other two Hale brothers. Hopefully their books are around the corner.
