Survival. It's all I've known for as long as I can remember. I thought it was the same thing as living until him... Until one touch set me on fire. Until one look disabled all my defenses. Until one man could shatter me. Now, even though a distraction is the last thing I need, all I want to do is taste what it's like to feel alive.
CHAZ
She sees right through me, as I knew she would. It's why I've avoided her. But what I never expected her to do was awaken something inside me that melted the cold I've grown used to. Instead of feeling numb to the world now, I feel like someone who has too much to lose. And she may be someone worth suriving for. The edge she gives me just may keep us all alive.
C.M. Owens is one of my go to authors, everything and i do mean everything she turns her hand to is utterly captivating from her PNR, Romance, MC to Laugh Out Loud reads.
This is the 4th book in The Deadly Beauties Live on series. I have been eager to read Chaz's story since starting this series.
Throughout the series we have had hints here and there about Chaz being more than everyone believed. He's finally decided to let go of his cover and tell his friends what he truly is. Of course nothing is that straightforward and things happen that make him show his powers before he can come clean when Kya see's right through him.
Kya is Slade's right hand girl. Hard and unemotional. She has cut all her feelings off in order to survive. She's still afraid to get close to her sister but her head is telling her that all the deadly beauties need to unite in order for them to defeat the master. When she comes across Chaz and sees what he is for the first time in a long time she feels fear. She's never encountered anything like Chaz before. Chaz wants her to keep his secret and she agrees on the condition he arranges for her to meet with Ella to talk about a truce. Whilst keeping his secret Kya and Chaz get close and neither of them ever expected that to happen. Chaz is drawn to something inside her. The story unfolds from here.
So much happen's in this book! the story flows effortlessly pulling you in and keeping hold of you till the very last letter. The secret Chaz has been keeping, has been driving me crazy. It was killing me so to my massive relief we find out early on... and my god!!! I did not see that coming at all!! Of course I'm not going to tell you what he is! Read it and find out! Also we find out the mystery of the Master. Sooo much is revealed in this book but also... more questions are raised!!
The secondary characters as always were amazing. I have to mention #Dice because that Incubus had me full on belly laughing whenever he spoke! He's the annoying friend that gets on your nerves but you have to laugh at him he's amazing!
This is part of a series and you should absolutely read the others before this one! I'm so excited for the last book although very sad too. I hate my faves ending!!
I highly recommend this book!! this series!! hell anything C.M. OWENS!!!!!
This series are addictive! Good for me that I started them, when 4 books were out, not so much that I need to wait for 5th one. Because yeah, addictive.
I'm happy that mystery of Chaz is unravelled. I was dying to know what he was from the first book! I'm happy what he is. I always loved to read stories about one of his parts that he is. I know you have no clue what I'm talking about, but I don't wish to take away the excitement to unravel it on your own.
And I loved Chaz. Even though sometimes I wanted to slap him. But that was on really rare occasions. Because mostly you just want to claim him.
Kya.... Well, she was different then I imagined her to be based on previous books. She was more emotional. Even though she didn't really understand them because of were she grow up and tried to deny/fight them. But I'm glad that she finally found true freedom and happiness.
And in this book finally... Freakn finally we have some answers to questions that plagued me for a while now. But though, 'Scooby gang' kinda won this battle, the final war is still in near future. And we go back to the 'I need 5th book ASAP.'
Once again CM Owens has put out a book that truly hits gold at every level. A book with paranormal characters that include Romance, Comedy and edge of your seat drama.
OMFG!!! She did it again!!!! This book is absolutely fantastic, like the whole series! Every time CM comes up with something new, you wouldn't have suspected before... even when you think you know.... you haven't... I can't wait for 2017 and the final solution. Even tho I'll be very sad, that this series is over...
This was (for me at least) the most anticipated book of 2016, I've slowly been loosing my mind coming up with possible scenarios and I can't believe that I got one of them right
***** SPOILERS***** By far the best book in the entire series. Chaz is the ultimate alpha male. The way he acts and the things he says WOW I'm in love. As Chaz story starts to unfold we finally find out what he really is red jinn, lokie and dragonite. Chaz is not sure that he should tell his friends what he really is. He thinks that they may not be accepting of the dark beast within. As time is running out to figure out who the master is and what she really wants Chaz has to use his new powers more to save his friends, but the more the best is released the more it craves to claim Kya Kya is she friend or foe? Her twin sister is part of Chaz's group and she has been helpful in the past but can she be trusted. While Chaz maybe confused the beast within is sure it wants to claim Kia as his forever. With everything going on around them can they learn to trust each other before they are torn apart. Go right now and buy this book then everything written by C.m. Owens and you can thank me later. :)
I loved Chaz's story, i always considered Chaz one of the side beauties as he comes in late in the first installment of the first series and was happily surprised there is a book from his POV. Amazed at CM imagination finding out what Chaz was.
Kya was amazing love her shes brilliant and the powers she has. Loved the whole Dice Karma surprise although had my heart beating in my mouth with worry at some points......
It was a bit disappointing there was no huge fight or revelation like each book has had before, We find out what Chaz is from beggining. I think this book setting the score sheet for the final play more than character building.
Still some hot scenes between Chaz and Kya (Thad and Roslyn still my fave pair though). That's not including the much anticipated Sella......
So brew and digestives at the ready to devour next book with Sella
Obviously loving this series since I’m smashing through it so fast. I love the immortals powers & differences. The found family.
I have been hanging for Chaz’s book. I’ve loved him from the get go and each book has slowly hinted at more power, hidden secrets and finally answered!! Dragonite aka dragon shifter YES PLEASE!!! Ahh I’m so sad Owens passed away before she could write the spin off series she hinted at in this book. So Chaz is a mix of 3 powerful species. On the money with the whole unspoken fated thing (previous book review). Chaz’s dragonite side focused on Kya and bonded with her.
Kya, Karma’s twin. Her first intro she came across as Cold hearted but as we got more of her in the previous books we saw that was just her protecting herself. Kya belongs among the group of misfits, she’s fierce and strong with a big heart. Even if she doesn’t understand all the emotions she feels.
Dice & Karma are having a baby!!!!!!!
Bring on Slade & Ella’s book!!! Let’s wrap up this series and I hope it finishes with a bang!

Chaz. This story actually felt more natural for me, the way the main characters had known each other for a while and their love story was more believable than some of the others. At least to me that is. I think Zee is sexier but Chazs story with Kya felt like it was more organic. I love how he totally avoided her for the longest time and how he knew she would be able to see him as he is, and I like how it took a bit more time before the "act". It seemed less rushed than the others and I felt like I knew who Kya was a bit more than say Leah. Overall, really liked it.
The story of Chaz and Kya is fantastic. The raw emotions of the two; who have been hiding who and what they are is heartbreaking. In C. M. Owens style the characters all blend together with the fighting and loving that has become a triad mark of these books. Each book brings more of the back story of each character. Can't wait for the next book.
This was t my favorite book, in fact I started this book months ago got bored and started other books. I was craving something from this author so I finished reading about Chas and Kya. As usual the writing was on point and the character development was amazing. One of the things I didn't like was that there was so much fighting scenes. I look forward to Ella's book next !!!
I absolutely loved this story. The continuation of this series just keeps getting better. I really liked how the characters from previous books still play a strong role and yet more characters are introduced. Learning more about ChaZ was interesting considering we only knew about one specific power as mentioned in the previous books. Adding the equally mysterious Kya in the mix and you got a pair well worth reading about. It's action-packed and leaves you hanging off the edge of your seats.
This series just continues to deliver! The anticipation for the final book is eating me alive, I swear. Chaz was always a favourite character of mine and I was so excited to see that he was getting his own story. I went back and read ALL the previous books in preparation for this one and now I feel like 2017 cannot come quickly enough
Wow and wow. The girls I thought I would hate has a heart after all. I thought I about Kya but she is deeper than I thought. Just when you think you have it all figured out, fate has other plans. I finally get to see why Chaz was so secretive all this time, but the storm is still coming. The next and sadly final edition is next. I think it will really go out with a blast.
Chaz has always been interesting to me. You could tell he was more than what others thought. Kya is a kick butt survivor! I was hoping that her relationship with Karma could and would be repaired in this book. To see how they connect was pretty interesting. Never a dull moment in this authors books! I’m hooked and have to get the next one fast.
5 stars is just not enough for this book. Chaz and Kya wow I didn't see that coming. For all the questions that were answered more have taken their place. I absolutely can't wait for unchained beauty.
I have not found this spin off just quite as good as the Deadly Beauties, but this is a great book. Chaz is complicated but I like how his story has been more developed. Well written with just a couple of editing errors noted.
What can I say I just LOVE this series! To me each book gets better and better. However, I want to see more come from Chaz! He seemed so overlooked for a time and I think he could really do/bring more!
Great read but Chaz never hit a cool peak for me. The problem was not creativity or material. The bar was so high because of my love of the prior heroes being too perfect. Lol. However it's a five star read and above the curve compared to so many other fantasy/paranormal books I've read.
I love this series!! I cannot get enough. Funny, great banter, great chemistry, hot sex, a bit of suspense, mystery and angst. Well written and did I say fun. I love how the stories intertwine. Great read! Looking forward to the next book.
I have read this entire series already I loved it. Some parts I cried other parts I was so glad they ended up with love for all these breeds of craziness. Other times made me want to fight along with them. I definitely recommend this series.

Chaz. I have loved him since the beginning. This book made me almost cry, laugh and lose my mind because I don't know what happens next. It was the best yet, I think.
