The story continues...

I trusted Colton with every bit of myself. I believed him when he promised he'd never hurt me. But he broke me...and now I watch him give another woman everything I thought would be mine.

I never saw this coming.

I don't blame Taylor for the decisions she's made, because I know the fault is all mine. I took her for granted. I broke her heart.

But she's everything to me. If the guy holding her now thinks for one second that I'll lay down without a fight, he's dead wrong.

Because I'm coming after what's mine.

Meh. Typical YA book that relies on melodramatic and unrealistic drama. Bad editing - improper words and a sentence that ended midway.

Definitely Twific.

And the H was a MORON.

If you have not read Fly yet then stop, do not pass go do not collect $200 and most definitely do not read Fight until you do so. Have I made myself clear? If not let me repeat that one more time. DO NOT READ FIGHT IF YOU HAVE NOT READ FLY!

Now if you have read Fly, Fight picks up where we were left off at so don’t worry. Colton and Taylor will have you sucked right back into their world, I know they did for me at least. I am so terrified that I am going to give a spoiler away so I am going to try to keep this on the shorter side if possible. The angst level is kicked up notch with Fight, the emotions; the kindle throwing moments and drama are all worth it I promise. Are the issues between Colton and Taylor magically resolved within a chapter at the beginning? No they are not and I think that is what makes this such a good book. What would have made it better would be if I could throat punch some bitches but since I can’t I will have to imagine it in my head that I am.

I am putting this, as well as Fly, on my must read again when my crazy schedule allows list. Lately not too many books have been added to it but this one will be in big bold letters, underlines with the side note to read it again asap! So if you are wondering if I liked Fight or not (seriously if you can’t tell) I will say that I freaking loved it!

It was worth the wait. A great conclusion to Colton and Taylor's story.

When Fly, book 1 of the Velocity series, came out I knew it had a cliffhanger but the conclusion, Fight, was supposed to come out very quickly. Well, it didn’t. But you know what? Life happens sometimes, even to authors that readers sometimes put up on a pedestal – imagine that! So now Fight is here and it’s a fantastic conclusion to the story of Colton and Taylor.

It’s going to be hard to give any details in this review without giving away major spoilers if you haven’t read Fly yet. Fight is not a standalone story; you need to read Fly first.

Colton and Taylor had some trying times in Fly and Fight doesn’t instantly solve all of them. As is the case in many New Adult stories this one has its fair share of angst but it also has a mystery and some not so nice people in it. I sure didn’t predict how the mystery would end so bravo to Molly for not making it obvious.

As is usual with a Molly McLain book, Fight contains some strong language and sexy time but it’s also a great story about the love between Colton and Taylor and how they overcome the obstacles that seem to keep getting in the way of their HEA. When either Colton or Taylor did something stupid that made me want to knock their heads together, I had to remember that they are young people – in their early 20’s – without a lot of life experience.

The book has a very satisfying conclusion and it was more than worth a little bit of angst to find out how everything turns out. This book easily keeps Molly McLain on my list of favorite authors. I’ve been with her since her first book and I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Review will be posted to Xtreme-Delusions dot com on or after release date.

Fan-freaking-tastic!! Fight is the second in a two book series that is about friendship, love, blackmail, sex and the motocross world. Probably one of the best series I have read leaving me with one hell of a book hangover. Fight is the much awaited follow up to Fly which left you with a killer cliffhanger. It starts out fast paced and doesn’t let up the whole time through. There are a lot of ups and downs in the lives of Taylor and Colton. Is it really possible for childhood friends to take their relationship to the next level without ruining everything they have? Colton’s life in the FMX circuit is much like a rock star life bringing him booze, drugs and women along with the fame. Taylor is there for him long distance since she is still back home in Wisconsin trying to help her family through a tragic event which has put her life on hold. Taylor has more than Colton’s friendship back home which means a lot to her because Matt is there to maybe fill a hole that Colton has left in Taylor’s life. Is Colton’s life in the fast lane going hurt his friendship with Taylor since Matt is more than ready to step up?

This book gives you plenty of steamy moments, huge surprises, humor, and drama and made me into an emotional mess while reading it! This is a 3 a.m. book because you won’t be able to put it down. I highly recommend both Fly and Flight for anyone who loves a good story!

this is book 2 in the Colton and Taylor love story. The two friends went through quite a lot in the previous story. They had to work around the fact the they crossed the line from friends to lovers. They had outside influences causing havoc and it continues in the this installment. The story is fast paced and the is more angst and drama than in the first book. There is more at stake and Colton is ready to fight for his future with Taylor. Taylor knows more about what is at stake. She wants to make things work with Colton but again situations and people get in the way. Colton continues his misguided intentions of trying to get ahead. I think they both were just a little too naive about what was happening around. Colton with is agent and Bria; Taylor with Matt and Colton's situation. They do finally get the heads straight and see things as they are but it took a moment. Still you love them and root for them the whole time. I enjoyed this rad as much as the first. I do look forward to more with the other characters. The author promised visits from Colton and Taylor so I am anxious to see how things changed for them.

Phenomenal! I fell in love with Taylor and Colton in Fly. But, Fight is just everything more! Seriously one of the best friends-to-lovers romance stories I have read. Molly McLain has this ability to create lovable, endearing but flawed character that you want to root for. I can't say enough good things about this book.

Merged review:

Absolutely Phenomenal

I received this book as an ARC from the author for an honest review. That being said....this book has all the feels and I Floved it!!! Taylor and Colton won my heart in Fly and that love continues for me in Fight. Molly writes such heartfelt, endearing characters. Best friends to lovers book I've read in a long time or maybe ever. You should definitely read this book!!

Stayed up way too late to read this, but it was worth it! This was a pretty quick read (about 5 hours for me), but I couldn't put it down! I have been impatiently waiting since I finished Fly (Velocity #1) to read this. Col and Tee were meant for each other. The drama surrounding them made things hard! I loved how this brought everything together. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a good at some points very steamy romance, with lots of emotion.

NOT for anyone under 18 :-)

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

Immediately after reading Fly, I started anxiously awaiting the rest of Taylor and Colton's story. I was hooked and flying by the seat of my pants with emotion for this over the top, adrenaline inducing couple and couldn't wait to read their dramatic conclusion. Molly didn't disappoint and kept me riveted to all of the scandal, drama, and heat that is going on all around Taylor and Colton. It is time to get reacquainted with this explosive couple that keep readers and each other flying!

Taylor Jansen has left her hometown and her job of taking care of her parents to attend college while living with a new hottie roommate and nursing a broken heart. Not only has she lost the love of her life but also her childhood best friend. So while he goes on flying high for adoring fans she must find a way to move on. Little does she know that mending a broken heart is the least of her worries. Taylor is still just as obstinate, beautiful, and selfless as ever and had me rooting for her and Colt with every page. She has a heart of gold that shines through in every gut wrenching decision that she makes.

Colton Wade better known as “country boy” in his motor cross career is dealing with a psycho fake girlfriend for PR purposes and trying to pick up the pieces of his shattered heart. While the miles and silence piles up between him and his “Tee” as he affectionately calls Taylor, he just knows he can't live without her. But what can he do when she is starting a new life in a new town with another man by her side? Colt is still hmmmm delicious and I can see why no matter how many miles apart they are, Taylor cannot resist him. I was and still am a fan of the hot “country boy” who craves Taylor as much as the “pulse jumping” stunts that he performs.

Molly McLain delivers a conclusion to Taylor and Colt's story that has you watching the stunts, deception, and explosive heat with breathless anticipation and a pounding heart. I highly recommend both Fly and Fight for a high flying ride through the motor cross world and a soul wrenching love story. I have fallen deeply in love with ALL of the characters from the Velocity series and am craving some more drool worthy hunks that Molly has already introduced us to and has us pining for.

***ARC received from author for an honest review***

Fight picks up from where Fly left off so if you haven't already read Fly then proceed no further because this is not a standalone book! What it is though, is the perfect second-part to a great story by one of my favorite authors! It is a quick read and I blew through it in a matter of hours, staying up late to finish it because I could not put it down. This book (as with the first one) has it all--- best-friends-to-lovers, secrets, unexpected pregnancies, suspense, steamy sexy times and loads of drama, drama, drama! McLain strings the reader along perfectly with the suspense of who is out to get Colton and why and trust me when I tell you that she throws some curveballs that the reader will NOT see coming!

I really love the character of Taylor. She is strong and independent yet sensitive and a support system to not only Colton but her family and friends. She stands by her man even when other women would've run the other way. Then there is Colton who I've had mixed feelings on from the start. I admire his tenacity and drive both in his career and in his love for Taylor. However, so many times I just wanted to smack sense into him because he is so easily walked all over (refer to: drama, drama and more drama above) and he often is clueless when it comes to Taylor---how to communicate with her and how to truly express his feelings for her. But all of that aside, Colton and Taylor have an amazing connection as only two best-friends who have been secretly in love with each other since they were kids, could have. Their chemistry is incredible and you can really feel the love between the two of them. And I'd be remiss in not mentioning the sexual heat between these two---smokin' hot!!!

Mclain has written the perfect ending to Colton and Taylor's story that fans will adore. With all questions surrounding Colton's situation answered, there is a perfect HEA for our favorite couple that is truly satisfying. I'm hopeful that McLain will write more books in her Velocity series because I'm dying to get to know more about many of the great secondary characters she has created!

This book was absolutely worth waiting for. I mean truly remarkable but it can’t be read as a standalone. You MUST READ FLY FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is only Colton & Taylor’s continued story not the beginning~~and what a story it is!!!

Colton & Taylor are best friends as we discovered in Fly who have been there for each other through everything but as we seen in Fly, Colton & Taylor have their share of problems and some turn from bad to worse and have this friendship being tested~~on the break of destruction~~TOTALLY!!!!

Fight is by far the best title for their story because in this sequel they have to fight even harder because the problems didn’t stop in Fly. These two have to fight for everything-their friendship, their relationship and even their own dignities~~Not just for each other but for themselves even more.

“Because I’m coming after what’s mine.” ~Colton

Colton has to really prioritize the things in his life before it costs him more than he can ever imagine~~Taylor. He soon realizes that the things in his life that’s happening has to come to an end before it’s too late and costs him dearly.

Everything is tested in this book and has these two both fighting for each other and themselves as they take on the world~~Literally.

Molly never seizes to amaze me with each story she writes. I’m never disappointed. Sometimes, no ALL THE TIME, I want to reach through the pages and strangle one of the characters but that’s what makes it a great book right???

This story gripped me like a vice by the heart strings. I cried, screamed, laughed, and grunted countless of times and was on the very edge of my seat through this entire book. I read this in just a matter of less than a couple hours…reading it in one setting.

Molly writes with a depth of passion that has you embedded by the first word in the first chapter– knowing how her books are probably entices this but nevertheless–is always remarkable.

The continuous story of Colton & Taylor had a realness to it like I was watching it play out right before my very own eyes. Like I was there with them.

A FIVE STAR READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I loved this series! Book one has you saying, Ahhhhh!!! as it ends. Book two has you saying Ahhhhh!!! because you want to hurry up read it to find out what happens. You have to read the first book in order to understand this one. Fight, was definitely a roller coaster of emotions for me. Lots of drama going on and Bria, just when I thought maybe she was not who I thought she was, she proves me wrong. Her and Liz drove me crazy, and Col and Taylor went through so much bulls*** it makes you wonder if they'll ever get over all the crazy stunts thrown at them.
There's family drama, baby momma drama, male ego drama, and then you have the tender moments. The moments that make up for all the crazy surrounding Col and Taylor. The two love each other, that much is obvious, they've been friends since they were kids. You can feel how much, and see that they are head over heels in love. It's one thing to love someone, but a whole other thing to be in love with someone, and these two, through all their ups and downs, are definitely in love.
I'm a sucker for the whole best friends to lovers type stories and I was really glad the author didn't do the whole love triangle thing. Going into this book, I was thinking somehow it might be a love triangle type story, but I was pleased with the course of the story. She stuck to the story of Taylor and Col and she made me love them even more in this book. Well, I was mad at Col in book one, but he fully redeemed himself in this book. Ha! Fly and Fight are my first books I've read by this author, so I'm thinking I need to go and get my one-click on. Definitely a new fan of this author and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work!

I have been waiting for this book in what seems like forever and it was worth the wait. I loved Colton and Taylor together. Childhood best friend turned lovers are the sweetest. The way book 1 ended, was such a heartbreak and I’m glad that the ending of this series is what I have been waiting for. Taylor and Colton go through so much, having to deal with track bunny Bria and his agent Liz. Wow, what malicious people those two were. I love how much Colton became the man that I hoped for him to be, he was strong and fought for everything that he knew he deserved with Taylor. He was sweet, strong, and so loving. I truly enjoyed this ending, such a beautiful ending for the two lovebirds.

Best Friends to Lovers and what a ride it is!!! Excellent Book Molly McLain!! Get ready to FIGHT!!

Ahhhhhhh!!! I absolutely love love love this book!! A definite must read!!! It is the second book in the Velocity Series. We met Colton and Taylor in Fly and I was hooked from the first page!!! Shoot, I was hooked by the Cover!! Colton and Taylor have been best friends for years and finally cross that invisible line from friends to lovers! I honestly believe they were made for each other! As we found out in Fly, Taylor gets pregnant when her and Colton finally take that leap! So, you will have to read Fight in order to find out how Colton reacts to the news of going to be a father!! I am so glad he got his head out of his ass and decided to Fight! I knew he would have eventually because you Fight for what belongs to you and always has!! There are other forces working against Colton and Taylor!! Are they strong enough to over come it all and be a happy family like they are supposed to?? Go one click now to find out!! I promise you won't regret it!!

Relatable, Realistic and Romantic!!

Molly has this incredible gift to give us characters that we can see ourselves being around, sitting down to have a latte with, or giving the stink eye to for being bratty.

We first met these Colton & Taylor, and swooned over the friends to lovers idea in FLY. We were left rooting for this couple to get the ending that we would have wanted if the story was written about us.

FIGHT is spectacular and well-developed. Reading through each chapter, it became more evident that Ms. McLain took the time needed to get particular details spot on, giving this story that much more validity.

Molly McLain has done it again with writing a story that wraps the reader up and gives them permission to stay up all night reading the entire book.

This is the second book in the Velocity series, and carries on from where the first left off. Taylor has a huge secret that she is keeping from Colton, but with all of the drama going on; it never seems to be the right time to come clean. This story is action packed with drama, lies, obstacles, secrets, emotion, relationships, friendships, angst, and love.
This is a fast paced read, and I must admit that as soon as I finished Fly, I could not wait to get my teeth into Fight, and I was not disappointed. This is an awesome series, and I recommend to all romance lovers! I cannot wait to read more from this author, and will definitely be adding Molly to my favourites and 1-click lists. Congratulations Molly, you have done a great job!!

Taylor has a way of making Colton forget things, and puts his mind on different things, "I forget the phone and focus on her pert little *** bouncing across the room. “Banging?” I call after her. “Is that what we’re going to tell people? That we’re banging?” Taylor's body parts aren't actually hers, they belong to Colton, "giving a low growl, he palms my butt and pulls me tight against his lap. “My ***.” I loved this book.

This book was probably my most anticipated read of 2016. After the cliffhanger the author left at the end of Fly, I couldn't read anything else because I needed to know what happened with Colton and Taylor. A well-written read that's not just about a happily ever after. if you love a happily ever after and enemies you love to hate, this is the book for you.

Finally, some answers...Some good, some bad. All of our past questions and concerns are addressed. Will friendships make it, and how many wrenches can be thrown in the mix before someone walks away?... I'm pretty sure this group of friends has more to say. Can't wait to continue on with their stories.

Amazing book

This is book two in the Velocity series. Taylor’s finally moved to Madison, and is left heartbroken by Colton. But she’s keeping a secret from him. Colton is determined to give Taylor the time she needs. He knows he wants to be with her, but he wants to give her what she asks for. But, can they be together, with people trying everything to hurt Colton, and tear him and Taylor apart?

I absolutely loved this book, and so happy with how everything worked out. Taylor is a super strong character, and handles everything thrown at her amazingly. And Coltons character grows, and becomes what Taylor deserves. He wants to be what she needs, and is willing to give up his dreams for her. I was drawn into their lives and was hoping they could work everything out despite the obstacles thrown their way. I definitely recommend this book. It was a quick, entertaining read.

Ok here we go. This book was almost the perfect end. Here's why it's not. One, what happened with Liz & Bria? I know what dude said at the end but I want more! Two, what about McKinnon? Three, her parents? Uh hello what changed? Finally, there was typos. Not a lot so don't get it twisted but there was one spot where I wasn't sure what it was suppose to be or if anything was suppose to be there at all! Again it wasn't major just more like a little fly. So back to the book, was just so freaking happy he found his balls. Not sure why she went crazy on him even though she knew it wasn't him. I think we seen what Bria & Liz was gonna do so no surprise there. Would definitely recommend especially if you read the first, it finishes nicely! On to the next!!!

Colton & Taylor. 💓

Love, love, love Colton and Taylor! I was cheering so hard for them to find their way to their HEA! I wanted to smack each of them upside their heads at times for being so pigheaded and stubborn. 😀 Once they finally were able to get things sorted out in their heads and let their hearts take over, it was perfectly sweet! And a little hot! 😉 I can't wait to read Shane's story. He's already sneaking his way into my heart. Molly McLain has demonstrated why she is my favorite author yet again! Never a bad book with her. She keeps me coming back for more every time.

I freaking love this book

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. It was so full of angst I couldn't stop flipping the pages to see what happens next. Colton finally figured out what he had to do to get Taylor and he would fight for his girl until the end. Taylor will have you so frustrated but God I love her. Don't wait to grab this book and get the conclusion to their roller coaster story.

Second time’s a charm

Okay I admit this second book was better than the first.

Colton - is growing up a bit and learning not to be such a selfish jerk (typed quiet a few other names and finally settled on this tamer version).

Yes, there is heaps of angst and OW drama as well as scheming (ex)agents - but have to say I enjoyed this ride way more than the first - and the icing on the cake is a HFN ending!

Colton & Taylor finally

I'm not normally a friends to more girl, but I really liked this series. Not just because their story mostly took place in Wisconsin, but also because of the way they were written as good people who only wanted and belonged with each other. I loved the way it was inevitable for them to get together, they just had to finally give in to each other and their feelings.

Sweet

Finishing this duet was basically a top priority for me. The ending of Book 1 had me in knots and I was in love with the characters!

Colton is definitely a main character I wanted to smack upside the head more than once, but he did good. In the end, he realized the most important thing to him and went for it!
A definite good feel read!

A perfect ending

This is part two and the conclusion of the Velocity Duet. Highly recommend you read book one, "Fly", first.
So many emotions, so much drama. the emotional conclusion to the duet keeps you captivated and guessing if Colton & Taylor can truly over come come all the obstacles and find their way to Happy Ever After.
