rage read

This story had me so fired up and not for the good reasons. lol
A husband cheats on his wife for two years and gets caught by the wife who hired a PI. She finds out and still sleeps with him and tells him that she knows.
Like what…..
I would have rained all kinds of hell on my husband, not sleep with him after you find out?!?!
I bet if the wife didn’t find out, he would have continued on with his affair. The man had no thoughts about ending his affair. This h made me so mad for being a complete religious doormat.
The man paid for the mistresses apartment, bought her gifts and even gave her an allowance and after the wife finds out he completely cuts her off. like he calls her on speakerphone with the wife to tell the OW hes done with her because the h found out.... This man was in a relationship with this OW, and for him to fall back on God when he gets caught is a cop out.
Why didnt he talk to god when we was thinking of even attempting to begin an affair?!!!?
Like come on…the wife forgave the husband WAY too easily.
I honestly felt bad for the OW. Like he spewed lies to her and after he gets caught he completely cuts her off like nothing. Homie you were with her for TWO YEARS and you cut her off like nothing because you want to be a better man for your wife?? I honestly hate the OW usually in stories, but I honestly felt bad for her. For her to have her mom die and her unborn baby die all on the same day, was rough. And then she dies in the end and the husband walks away with no serious repercussions.
I strongly dislike when religious books gloss over the affair and have the woman easily forgive the husbands for their sins and they walk away Scott free.
That being said….if you want a good rage read, this is the one for you. This had me hooked Lolol

Short & Beautiful

Sometimes, a story can be so compelling that you don't need it to be 400 pages. Sometimes, it's just nice to read a book with a strong message behind it and once you've read those few chapters of greatness you become immediately satisfied! This story did that for me... Let me just say that Janine had been betrayed to the highest magnitude. Her husband was not only cheating on her, but he was also taking care of his mistress financially (Every married woman's worst nightmare). Regardless of his cheating Janine honored her husband by forgiving him as she turned to God for strength. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they do when his mistress comes up pregnant ! This entire book kept me on the edge of my seat and there were a couple of times that I found myself snapping my fingers and rolling my neck, talking about" Oh, Heck Naw!" But I have to give Janine credit she never gave up on her husband and this was a beautiful story about how they overcame this obstacle together making her marriage stronger. Because she kept her faith in God and forgave her husband, she was able to come out on top and ended up being blessed beyond words at the end. Janine was able to do what most women aren't when it comes to forgiving her husband for infidelity which came off very refreshing while reading. I believe that Seth's mistress, Monica was a little crazy and probably would've taken things even further if she hadn't have been the victim to her own demise. Her response to all that happened to her left me flabbergasted. I couldn't believe that she was still trying to hold on to Seth after he made it clear that he wasn't going to leave his wife. I think that this is the perfect short story for men out there who are even considering stepping out on their wives because even though this is a fictional story, this is a very REAL issue that could happen to anyone. I enjoyed every page of this story and it kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next! I was shocked when the book came to an end ( I wasn't ready) but it ended so perfectly and with such a strong message that I couldn't complain. This short read is packed with a punch!!! Great work, once again Genevieve. You are no stranger to writing yet another five star banger!

It Won't Prosper

When I started reading It Won't Prosper I did not know what to expect. In a way I thought it would be your typical story about infidelity, but it was not. This book was MINISTRY! It showed you the devastating and deadly consequences of sin, but it also showed the power of forgiveness and love. It shows you what God can do if you repent and submit to Him.

Janine was amazing. Some may think she was weak, but I saw a woman who wouldn't allow bitterness and anger to dictate the outcome of her marriage. She was a woman who knew to surrender her hurt and pain to God. Someone once said that "Divorce is a gift that keeps on giving," and I believe Janine realized this. It was a gift she was not willing to accept.

The compassion she had for Monica was beautiful. I will have to admit that I don't think I would have been that kind or caring. Especially after all of Monica's shenanigans.

I thought I would have been angry at Seth, but once I really got into the story I didn't feel anger, but sadness. I was sad because sin made him think that it was his friend, that it kept him blind to the truth and that sin set out to destroy him, his wife and family. This story showed that infidelity not only affects husbands and wives, but it affects the extended family, church family and the person committed adultery with you.

This is one if the best stories of 2016. It will bless you and please give a copy to a married couple. It would also be a wonderful book to use in couples therapy.

This was a well crafted MIT\ fidelity tale, albeit hard to swallow and rage inducing.Although I am at times jealous those that have such faith that allows for such comfort and a roadmap to survive lives worst trials and tribulations how it played out in these circumstances does turn my stomach a bit ! Specifically in regard to h's reaction to the infidelity ie the expectations of the wife 's unwavering subservience to the husband including taking on responsibility for his sins and near blind acceptance with an inherent proviso of quick forgiveness and aim towards mutual path forward!
Fortunately here, the H did.a speedy 360,doing the work to figure out his sh#t,his motivations and He was willing to go just as hard as she to seek faithful resolution and redemption.
As far as.the actual handling of the affair it was discussed at length and openly, but in dangerous and painful, drip, drip drip fashoin.Thank Goodness we saw the h's humanity as she slapped and punched him in the mouth at that final huge, drip revelation! H truly did BOTH woman Nasty wrong! We experienced the sequelae of his despicable behavior in devastating fashion! So yep...a rage read to be sure and although the couple ultimately fares well coming out the other side, the resultant tremendous tragedy was entirely unnecessary and preventable!

Okay

The first story was really good; however, the second story was unnecessarily long and boring. It dragged on and on. Quite disappointing.

Spiritual Flowing Read...

Janine and Seth's story is unfortunately a very common one in our society; however, most don't end the way that theirs does because of lack of faith in our ministries and because many of us lack the ability to forget and forgive. I throughly enjoyed getting to know all of the characters in "It Won't Prosper". My heart went out to Janine for obvious reasons and to Monica as well because she truly felt that Seth loved her and not his wife because that is what he led her to believe. God knows what's best for all of us, so the things that happened in Monica's life were what God had for her. The same can be said for Janine and Seth. Genevieve Woods' "It Won't Prosper", a parable on 'Infidelity in Marriage', is a definite must Read, not just for married couples, but singles as well. Also, as an added bonus for a limited time, she includes another great Christian read from her, "All I'll Ever Ask", for free.

I love this author’s writing style. I intended to read this story, but not at the time when I browsed it on my Kindle. Well, before I knew it, I was reading and wanting more. Loved it. This was a well-written, great read about love, forgiveness and repentance. The message in this book was honest and thought provoking.

The novel hits infidelity head-on. It was hard to read and not feel the emotions of the characters. My heart went out to Janine. I admired her faith in God. Of course, I wanted to have strong words with Seth. Then, there was Monica. I'm going to hold my thoughts concerning her…too many thoughts.

I’m looking for more from this gifted author. Great job, Genevieve! Highly recommended.

This story is about the power of forgiveness. Janine was a wife but won't accept divorce as an option. She would fight with the Lord to keep her marriage. She has a big heart because with what Monica put her through. I would have ended that craziness. I feel sad for Seth because of his struggles. I really enjoyed this book. It really spoke to me. This book deals with having faith, trust, and believing. This nook showed true commitment to relationships and marriage. The writing style was on point and I could relate. I give this 5 stars and I highly recommend this book.

It Won't Prosper

It is so refreshing to see real life dealt with as a Christian. Although my heart broke for Janine in the beginning, I really admired her trust in God by the end of the book. This was a great book that I finished in a few hours that held an awesome testimony. Mrs. Woods is one of my new favorite authors. I can't wait for the next book, and I'd love to read more about Janine and Seth.

This book has all of these things! An absolute must read. Forgiving doesn't make you stupid, it simply makes sense! When you forgive, you have to forget in order to effectively move forward.
