Because bad past encounters with her kind, Lance and Tony are wary of her help. But the information she is offering them regarding Lauren’s whereabouts is something they can’t refuse. Answers will be given but more questions emerge.
When you’ve got nothing else to go on with, is it wise to trust the words of the supposed enemy? The gripping quest to find a loved one continues in the supernatural mystery thriller, Third Charmed.
Third charmed was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the third novel in the Prime Insurgency series For a short story I feel like it could have been better edited. Chapter 2. " She's pretty, and there are not much pretty girls around here ". Chapter 3. " It has been with me in since last week. "
I liked the introduction of Grace Howell, even if she is a host to a prime. It doesn't seem to have a negative impact on her, in fact it seems to be helping . She has suddenly become a herbal healer. It has given her a purpose after the loss of her son and husband in a car accident in which she was the driver. At the end we get a glimpse of Lauren . The next book will continue here.

This book, like the others before it, is only about 6 or so chapters. They are short but not overly so. Once again this is fast paced and runs smoothly, and there are starting to be some twists in this journey.
I feel like I’m settling into this shorter book format and getting more used to how fast things move. With my days being more eventful than expected this series is definitely a good fit for a busy lifestyle. I like how even if one doesn’t get as much reading time as they would like they can still feel accomplished regarding the speed at which they are completing a book or installment.
I also definitely like getting to meet a Prime that is not playing cloak and dagger nor blazing glory, and getting to see more of the Prime/Host dynamic in action. They also finally make some progress. Looking over the books for the series, this places the discovery in a logical place within the overall continuity, but it remains to be seen yet whether this is going to follow a smooth or a rocky path.
Regarding Believability: So far, so good. The first two books were somewhat easy in how much information they were getting out of people when questioning them. This one they are meeting the normal results that a person without a warrant might get when bothering people.
Questions: How are they supporting themselves as they hunt for Lauren and other Primes? That must be some savings that they had built up. I am very curious as to what pay grade big brother Lance was at. Will Grace be making later appearances? Do the Primes have factions amongst themselves regarding views on mankind?
I feel like in this third book I am finally getting a little more of this world instead of just Tony and Lance's view of things. I still feel like the books are so short that they could be combined and fleshed out a little more to make an amazing novel.
I received Third Charmed from the author in exchange for an honest review. As with the first two books, this third book in the series continues the story of the Primes, making things a little bit clearer as to the beings’ ultimate plan for mankind. As seems to be the pattern for the author, another Prime is introduced into the picture, bringing the number that have been in the series to four. This Prime is different though, as she is working to help people with their problems while cohabitating with the person in her body. The longer this series goes, the more I find myself being pulled into the story, and wanting to know what the end result will be. Yet another quick read, as it is 40 some pages in length, but the author keeps up his intentions with the story and I am looking forward to the next book.
Very suspenseful and intriguing, this short read pulled me right in for the ride. Having picked up book three first, I now feel compelled to grab copies of the first two to see how Lance and Tony’s journey began. Primes are an interesting creature for sure.
Thank you to author J.D. Stonebridge for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
So far, this is my favorite book in this series. While it was not super action-packed, everything moved along nicely, and I actually found myself starting to fall into the story for the first time. With that, though, came a few realizations.
1. This would have made a great graphic novel/comic book. This series is comprised of short stories. This book itself was only 33 pages, and that seems to be the norm for the series. Also, the paranormal element of this story would be great paired with pictures to really draw the audience into the action. The writing of this story alone hasn't been able to suck me into the story yet, so I feel like it would be more engaging in graphic novel format. Bonus: I'd finally be able to picture what the characters are doing, which I haven't been able to do yet thanks to the use of generic terms such as "the game" or "the fast food joint."
2. I still know nothing about these people As I was reading this story, I still got characters confused. Maybe it's because it's been a while since I picked up the second book, but it took me a couple pages to even get Tony and Lance straight in my head. These characters are not very memorable, and I'm still hoping for improvement in that respect.
Overall, there is a lot of improvement here in comparison to the other books, but there is still a ways to go. Luckily, there are a few more books in this series, so I'm still hopeful.
It's nice to know there are good primes. I enjoyed this book. I do think these books would be better as one or two books. Although there is something to be said for serial novels for a mom on the go.
Really enjoyed this novel. I found myself immediately hooked into the story. The author has a real talent that shines through with the invention of the characters and plot. The hairs on the back of my neck would stand on end as the story unfolded with some sinister elements. I would thoroughly recommend this book.
It was a great read. A little short for my usual taste, but i see that this is a series and for that i like the way he did that. Now i have to go to book one.
