Fairy and law enforcement agent, Dulcie O'Neil, is in trouble. And so is Bram.
Finding themselves on the wrong side where illegal potions importer, Jax Rochefort, is concerned, now all they need to do is devise a way to stay alive. But being taken hostage and tortured isn't Bram's style. Will this suave, centuries-old vampire find a way to free himself and Dulcie? Or will they both fall prey to the up and coming rebellion, the union of all the illegal potions gangs who seek to take over control of the Netherworld.
Any way she looks at it, Dulcie is in a bad way. It might just take the perseverance and determination of a certain hunky Loki named Knight to rectify the situation. But even Knight doesn't know what he's up against.
I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Not the ending I was expecting, but a GREAT story! I love anything HP Mallory writes-seriously. She should count herself lucky I do not live near her in sunny SoCal as I'd bug her to write more CONSTANTLY.
HP always takes me on a fun ride. She has so many books out that I really need to get to reading... I am just really behind in life hahahahaha but after reading this one I know I need to read her other new books like yesterday.
This book was better than book 7 - Book 8 had a little more content but still way too much fluff and inner dialog from everyone especially Dulcie. It just gets so old and annoying! I mean I'm sick of reading things over and over again! I've learned since book 7 to simply scan through and skip over all of the unnecessary repetitive and annoying inner dialog. In doing so it only takes a couple of hours to read the true content of the book. I'm only continuing because I've come so far and I just want to see what happens/how it ends. But I love to read so scanning a book just to get through it is not what I call enjoyment. I'm only giving 3 stars because the story is pretty good and the characters like Bram and Knight are very likable. Dulcie's character is still utterly annoying!
Wow. I loved the first books. Loved. Them. This book.... So. Bad. Basically, everyone has the same "voice." So when someone is rattling on and on saying the something three times to make the book longer, you completely forget who is talking. There is an addition of a new character. Surprise, she's the big bad. And by surprise, I mean duh. Surprise again, another cliffhanger. Isn't the sex scene exactly the same as the one she wrote for the Underworld series? This entire book should be three chapters long. The rest is repetition and repetitiveness.
The series continues and I'm so glad. This series is one of my favorites. It was really hard to read to read about dulcie and Bram being beaten and almost murdered. The plot thickens and it is worth reading the cliffhanger left me wanting and wishing the book was available now . So worth it
I think this is my favorite book so far in this series. The story kept me guessing. Wondered what was going to happen with Knight and Dulcie’s relationship, if Bram finally dies, Sam’s situation and curious about the introduction of new characters. I am excited for the next adventures of these characters. Keep them coming.
I enjoyed this story and seeing a different side of Knight and Bram was interesting. They are usually the ones in control and have it all together but not so much in this story. At the end you have to wonder much as Bram did, what became of Dulcie. I am looking forward to seeing exactly what did become of Dulcie but also of Knight and Bram.
XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Jax needs to die. Brand history comes back to haunt Dulcie and Knigjt, as well as torment him. He deserved it to a point. Dulcie and Knight not so much.
I enjoyed this book, but so much violence and the ending left me angry. Still I have to know what happens next.
While I found the different POVs unsavory at first I understand the need for telling Bram's backstory. The storytelling was better in this book than in previous books but it wasn't until the second half of the book that I felt truly engaged in the story.
So much goes on....Poor Dulcie, she goes through so much. Bram doesn't fair much better. Since Bram shares story tired in this book, you find out his past. That was very cool to find out he has a heart....sort of.
I hate cliffhangers and I've found that Mallory tends to overuse them. I just no longer care what's at the bottom of the cliff. I'm tired of being strung along so I won't be back.
Oh My Awesomeness I really love everything HP Mallory writes and Dulcie O'neil is a true favourite, funny and fascinating with a brilliant supernatural twist.
I found the physical violence against Dulcie disturbing, unnecessary and gratuitous. The only reason I finished the book was because it's part of a series.
I can't believe some of the things Dulcie lived throughout this book and lets not forget about Bram who we learn more in depth where he came from and how he came to be. I found myself a bit upset because I thought the Dulcie book was heading to a dark place and had to stop for a few hours and then I continued and loved that Vander came through. This was devastatingly a good addition to the Dulcie O'Neill series.
H.P. Mallory is an excellent author. This latest book is a cliff hanger. Bram is caught and being drained of his blood for the qualities it possesses to turn into a drug / potion. Dulcie is the character of main importance. She is wanted by the Darkness. Well we learn about Bram's past and surprises abound. Will Dulcie break free? Will Bram save her and will Knight die? Such an action packed story, I will not spoil it. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!
Unbelievable that Bram could be double crossed. But when he and Dulcie and captured by Jax, it seems that there is a new master vampire around. "Darkness" seems to be calling the shots.
We learn more about Bram's master, how he met her and how she "died".
Can Knightly find Dulcie in time? Can Bram be saved too?
Another great installment! Ms.Mallory always is able to pull the reader in and keep them on the the edge of their seats.
This was a great way to get people back to the story and interested, but now I am left at this horrible cliff hanger. I do not mean horrible as in bad horrible as in it can't end there!!!! Hurry HP Mallory and write the next book! Lol! What's happens to them next!
Holy Buckets! I can't believe Vander got shot. I figured The Darkness was Brams master but man is she evil. This was a great book and it kept me thinking.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I knew the big bad right away. There was a lot of rambling and boring stuff. The last 20 pages were fabulous. The ending??? What? This book made my reading goal for 2016!!
