Nothing ends a first date faster than finding a dead body.

Photographer and sassy Seattle-lite Roxy Summers swears off men after catching her ex-boyfriend, a.k.a. her ex-boss, in a compromising position. Newly single and facing eviction, Roxy puts all distractions (men!) aside as she begins her new job assisting an international fashion photographer and notorious playboy.

No one told Roxy her new job would entail dealing with her new boss' fiery temper, his emotional girlfriend, his conniving ex-mistress, his partner who has a melt-the-polar-ice-caps blinding smile, have her stumbling over a body, become an amateur detective and find herself annoyingly attracted to Detective Charlie Bennett, who seems determined to put Roxy in handcuffs!

It's a fresh, breezy and girly read with a bit of humour and some fun characters. It was fast paced, kept me on my toes. I discovered it on Goodreads where one of my friends added it to their to-read list and in a spur of the moment I downloaded the ebook and read it.
I am looking forward to reading more in this series. I had a great time with it.

Fun start

Capture Me was a fun start to the Roxy Summers Mysteries. Roxy is fresh out of a relationship & job into new job, new boss, and swearing off men. Full of humor, mystery, and romance (even though Roxy is swearing off men) that kept me turning the pages. I’m looking forward to what adventures Roxy will have next!

A wonderful new author!

Katherine Bacher has created a truly delightful, fun character in Roxy Summers and her goofy group of friends! Brought back so many great memories of my twenty-somethings. I loved the humor (Roxy is charmingly snarky at times), the wonderful dedication of her fab friends, her out of touch parents, the Seattle setting, and the snappy banter between her and Detective Charlie Bennett who seems determined to put poor Roxy in jail. I am thrilled to discover that this is the first in a new series so I will get to read more wacky Roxy Summers adventures! Ms. Bacher is already on my instant-buy list.

“Capture Me” will keep you on your toes and has plenty of LOL moments throughout (waxing, anyone?). I enjoyed the story and didn’t see the end coming (in a good way). As a conservative, faith-based reader, I personally struggled with the language, occasional/brief discussions about sex, and one character’s orientation.

A wonderful read to lighten the day. The humor is well written and the main character, Roxy, is a delight. Her two best friends are the kind I'd love to have in my life. They're edgy enough to be interesting but loyal to a fault. Roxy's mom is a hoot and her dad typical dad fare. It's a fast paced story with plenty of laughs.

A good time!

This was a laugh out loud comedy, mystery that you will love. Best friends who are trouble together, snark, cranky detectives and a killer on the loose make for a very entertaining story.

When the world is crazy, sometimes you need a fun book where you know the heroine will prevail. This book is a great escape from reality.
