Grant Stevens #12

Punishment Due

Rate this book
When a top secret mission in Iran was compromised, and two Navy SEALs were killed, the CIA knew immediately who leaked the intel to the Iranians: KGB Agent Alexei Orlov. Years earlier the CIA had captured Orlov, accusing him of spying for Russia. After months of interrogation and investigation, he was convinced to become a double agent. It was only after he vanished that the CIA realized it had been duped. His loyalty to Russia had never faltered. Then, after nearly three years of searching, the CIA discovered him living in Constanta, Romania, spying on and rooting out Russian defectors. An alarming number of his countrymen were joining a dissident movement intent on bringing down the Romanian regime, invoking a fear that the action would spread like wildfire across Eastern Bloc countries.

Grant Stevens and Team Alpha Tango eagerly accepted the mission to bring Orlov back for prosecution, but when informed that others had been involved in the breach of security, Stevens questioned: Was A.T. being used as bait in order to entrap the spies?

Once in country, A.T. would have to avoid the Romanian secret police -- the Securitate -- and the chaos the dissidents were generating. Those dangers escalated even more when the men discovered that KGB's Spetsnaz Alpha Group was ordered to Constanta. Its mission: Find and protect Agent Orlov.

Team Alpha Tango would soon become the hunted.

Good book....

As usual..... Can't seem to say any different,. But I keep reading these books and hoping the author can write faster. Grant is an exceptional leading man. And I still find these books exciting and look forward to them impatiently. Thanks, for a really enthralling series. Amarillo Turtle

Edge of seat action

ORDERS: Find and return a double agent in Romania to the United States.
While searching for their ”package" A.T. finds out about an assassination attempt on a Russian VIP visiting Romania. Russia brings in their own Alpha Team when it's discovered A.T. has abducted their agent. Lots of things end up going "boom" in this sensational book.

Punishment due

Good adventure with logical transitions from the preparations through to the conclusion. A little difficult to believe that we would actually have a President that cares.

I am always impressed with the training our service men receive and love to read about them . Even though these are fiction stories it is good to read something with no sex and no unnecessary violence. I also like the team mentality and close relationships that developed, however it would be tough on a marriage unless the wife had a big heart and bothered to understand.

However I am very proud of our service men and women and am thankful for their willingness to defend freedom.

Excellent

This book kept you reading. Couldn't put it down until it was finished. Gives a good insight to what goes on with the seal teams and the things we don't know about. The characters were well written and defined. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes action and stories about our armed forces.

Punishment Due

Another fine novel, involving Team AT. Unfortunately, some fine men, were lost on this mission. A traitor was caught and confessed to his role involving treason against the US. The ramifications are being felt by his family, however, another problem was dealt with, though not as severely as hoped.
