She had one shoe, lost to the world, fragile, and so fucking beautiful I couldn’t look away.
And then she asked me to take her home. To take away the pain.
It was dangerous to make such a request. Not knowing who I was. What I could do. But I took her home. Did what she asked. And fell in love with her. Fell in love with the broken girl who twisted me up inside. Taught me I was worth believing in. Showed me that I didn’t have to lose in the ring anymore, because she gave me the strength to fight harder.
And then I lost her…
I’ve got to get her back. Fight for her. Win. Take what’s mine, and keep her.
Writing professionally since 2008, LeTeisha Newton’s love of romance novels began long before it should have. After spending years sneaking reads from her grandmother’s stash, she finally decided to pen her own tales. As many will do during their youth, she bounced from fantasy, urban literature, mainstream, interracial, paranormal, heterosexual, and LGBT works until she finally rested in contemporary romance.
LeTeisha is all about deep angst and angry heroes who take a bit more loving to smooth their rough edges. Love comes in many sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as with—or without—absolute beauty and fairy tale sweetness. She writes the darker tales because life is hard … but love is harder.
This was book 3 in this series. It was a short read but an enjoyable read. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. Trust became the issue in this couple's relationship and the female lead had to teach her man that he had to trust her. Definitely worth a read.
Short story of the trials and tribulations on NEVER being good enough! Two strangers down on their luck give in to the carnal desire only to find what they were both looking for all along!! I loved the story, but wanted more... Perfect ending to the Lost Trilogy! I have learned anything from this series, it was that love DOES conquer ALL.
