Tamarians #1

Red Planet: The Slave Queen

Rate this book
He wants me to be his queen.  And he won’t stop until I am.

I’ve been hailed leader of the Human Rebellion because I’m stuck with his royal highness, Alien Prince Tauren. As his jailor, I’m tasked with preventing his escape, but that might prove difficult.

Standing nearly seven feet tall, he’s massive, with hulking biceps, broad shoulders and packing a huge bulge beneath his loin cloth.

I should be repulsed by him, after all, he’s the prince of my oppressors and an alien beast. But strangely, I’m attracted to him. Every time I’m near him, all I can think about are those powerful hands roaming my body. I can’t resist.  And if my kind knew how I lusted over him, they’d have me executed.

I’m conflicted and torn between my desire for his touch and the need for war. But worse than that, I’m hiding a terrible secret. A secret that could get us both killed.

I’m pregnant with his alien baby.

I loved and enjoyed reading the fabulous and fantastic science fiction fantasy romance by the wonderfully talented Jessica Snow. I received a copy of the Alien vs. Human love story.
Audra is a slave who escapes with the help from the Resistance. Audra is in charge of watching the kidnapped alien Prince Tauren. Instead of hating each other, both Audra and Tauren find themselves drawn to one another. As Audra and Tauren spend time together, both have passion and love for each other.
Read the highly recommended, beautifully written, and an outstanding and engaging love story of Audra and Tauren.

I was actually very surprised at how good this book was... it was a bit more military than I'm used to but the relationship between all the characters was amazingly well done and well developed. Tauren and Audra are an amazing couple that go from one end of the spectrum (almost hating each other) to the other (loving one another). I very much recommend this one.

Enjoyed it

I liked the characters they stayed true to each other despite others trying to seperated them. Strong characters that rose to be great and depended on each other. I am curious if this continues it felt like the start of a series, the struggles of a nation overcoming slavery.

This is a great story. I love sci-fi romances and this one has plenty of romance and action. It is very well-written and includes a storyline that really captures your interest. I really enjoyed the characters and this relationship between two unlikely partners.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Future on a New Planet

This was a very intriguing story, kept moving from beginning to the end. The story was not what I expected in the least. The characters were developed quickly and efficiently without taking away from the storyline but adding to it.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I don't real a lot of sci-fi books, but the ones I do really reach out to me or are part of series that I've gotten into. This book drew me in from the beginning and I loved every minute of it. There was just the right amount of everything involved, rebellion, fighting, adventure, romance, and sexy times. I'm intrigued about the way the Tamarian's came about, it was interesting to see their history included in the book which helped me picture the characters, as well as giving more of an idea how the slavery began. Thank you Jessica for a great read, I'm looking forward to more of your work.

Tauren and Audra have a steamy relationship, but it didn't start out that way. Audra was a slave that had been used and abused for more than 20 years, starting when she was only a child. When the resistance made it safe for some slaves to escape, Audra was one of those who ran, but brought the Crown Prince along with her. Her brother, the leader of the resistance, put her in charge of Tauren and his safety. Over the time they were together, they got to know each other and she started to like him instead of hating him. He soon joins the resistance and helps to free everyone. It's a race to get everyone free and stop all of the damage that the drugs created, but they do their best to get it all ended in time. Tauren and Audra fall in love during it all and fight for what they believe in together along with some faithful friends. In the end, it looks like it all will be alright, even with the possibility of some choosing to cause more havoc on them all, but they will stick together and fight to keep the balance.

This is a intriguing and fascinating book to read, and I really enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: a Prince kidnapped by the resistance (Tauren), a freed slave acting as a guard (Audra), Her brother and leader of the resistance (Jansen), drama, intrigue, twists and turns, action, adventure, romance, torture, drugs, survival, betrayal, ambushes, new allies, abuse of power, rebellion, fighting, hate, love, death, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and is exceptionally well written. The characters are well developed with personalities and have feelings of hate, revenge, lust and desires. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a fascinating and intriguing alien/human romance you will not be disappointed.

4.5 out of 5
This was a great read for a new author at a great price.
What I liked: I always want to like sci-fi-alien romances, but rarely find them to work for me. They always seem to get too cheesy, far fetched, laughable and the men are cavemen morons. With low expectations, I tried out the Slave Queen, and was delightfully surprised. The plot was well thought out and explained. Fierce battles, rebellion, treason, redemption, romance. The H was written so sympathetically, you will really root for her.
What I didn't like:The cover and blurb could've been so much better. Grammar and continunity errors came close to ruining a few scenes for me. The ending was a drawn out and skirted really close to cheesy. Like the author was trying too hard to wrap everything up in a pretty bow.

Riveting

I was completely and utterly enthralled by this book... The characters made me laugh, cry, love, hate, and any other spectrum of emotions in between... They had such dynamically complex aspects of relationship between each character and how they chose to interact separately and together that I couldn't put the book down... I loved and hated the end of the book for several reasons... Loved because it finally made everything click and I had several ah ha moments and hated it because (honestly) it was over... I want more... I would definitely recommend this book to others... I wish more books produced the intensity of this book

I really loved this book! This is my first Sci-fi romance book other than the IPB. I thought nothing could compare, but this was just as good. This is my first time reading this author and now I'll probably read her other books. It was very well written. I love that everything came together perfectly...however I do wish there was a sequel. Audra and Tauren are perfect together and there's plenty of sexiness. I know I'll read this book again fairly soon so I can get back into the Tamaria world.

Hot and steamy sci-fi romance. Audra is a human slave while Tauren is the crown prince. There is an uprising against the nobles and Tauren is kidnapped by the Resistance. Audra gets sucked in as well. I freaking loved it and can't wait for the next book!

Slow getting to the point

The premise was good and I liked the characters but the writing took to look to bring the plot to fruition. That it caused me flipping multiple pages to get to the end of the story!

Great characters

Tauren is a prince who is kidnapped by the resistance. Audra is a freed slave who is charged with guarding him. During their time together they discover a love that defies all. I hope Jensen gets his own story soon.

I loved this book and while I get kinda picky when it comes to alien romance since I don't really like aliens. This book was so much different, it spoke of racism and slavery more than having sex and I felt as though that was important to me.

Just when I thought the genre was all plotted out (exhausted) along came this beauty. A strong female protagonist and a prince worth following and loving.
