Somebody's Doodle

Rate this book
How could anybody steal a dog like Gizmo … ?When petty criminals ‘Flash Harry’ Smith and Jack (‘The Lad’) Jones start nicking dogs, they soon realise they’ve bitten off more than they can chew …

Their victim, Elizabeth Parker-Smyth, is a high-flying movie producer with a Grand Design of a house and a designer dog to match. Their hostages, Gizmo and Doodle, are the co-stars of her next Nobody’s Poodle. Their nemesis, Annie Capello, is a quirky, big-hearted pet detective, who tracks the dognappers through cyberspace and finds herself entangled in their shenanigans.

SOMEBODY’S DOODLE is a fast-moving, heady mix of crime, humour, romance, and some wooftastic dogs. As it races towards the climax, the human protagonists search for truth and reconciliation and glimpse what we can all learn from Man’s Best Friend.

NIKKI ATTREE studied photography at the University of London, graduating with a BA in 1987, before going on to work as a freelance photographer and digital artist in the UK. You can view her work on her website: www.NikkiAttree.com. Since moving to Tenerife in 2007, she has been helping to promote the hardworking animal rescue centres there by producing calendars and educational poster campaigns. Her website: TenerifeDogs.blogspot.com is dedicated to finding homes for the island’s abandoned dogs, as well as being a mine of information and an insight into the canine world. Despite being disadvantaged at school by mild dyslexia and a woefully un-supportive English teacher, she has recently discovered an unexpected passion for writing. After years of feeling like a mobile Christmas tree or a heavily laden donkey, with state-of-the-art cameras and flash guns dangling from her every limb, it is refreshing for Nikki to do something creative without needing to be weighed down by tons of the very latest technology.

A very enthralling book continuing the story of 'Nobody's Poodle' but this time the story is non fiction.
Somebody's Doodle this time has two Labradoodles in it, Gismo, still living the good life with his mum and dad [the authors of the book] in Tenerife and Doodle, his female counterpart, living the lonely life with her mistress and daughter in a house fit for a superstar, which backs onto Hampstead Heath. Doodle is lonely and wishes for adventure, which comes into her life sooner than she realizes.
Jack and Harry are about to branch out into 'dog knapping' and Doodle with Gizmo, [in England to be a co-star in a film about his horrible life in Tenerife, before finding love and kindness with Nikki Attree, the author of both books.
A 'must read' for any animal lover but I would advise that you read Nobody's Poodle first, then this book will give real pleasure from knowing Gizmo's beginnings.

With a Doodle, you have everything

We never had a poodle, but Golden Doodles are pure gold. Our Golden Girl makes us happy and we return the favor.
