Innocent Lindy is a new security guard at the mall. When everyone goes home, she is all alone in the huge, empty building. Or is she? There is a mannequin missing from one of the store windows, and something just lured her into a dark storeroom. 3 Creeped me the fuck out stars
OMG I went into the The Mannequin figuring it would be either a lame, or funny weird Halloween read. I never thought it would freak me the fuck out. I have always been a little weirded out by Mannequin. I remember as a child I thought they were creepy. I went into this read thinking it would be a cheese Mannequin come to life 80s-ish movie like story with tons of sex. WRONG. I was picturing this:
What I got was this creepy shit:
So Lindy's a security guard working all alone on the night shift. As she was doing her first round checks she noticed a creepy realistic looking Mannequin in the Men's store. She dismissed his life likeness and went back to her desk after rounds. While watching the computers she noticed that one of the mannequins was missing. Of course it's the life like one. Now what I was expecting was some kinky Lindy on Mannequin sex after she got over that fact that he was alive.
What I got was
He was no sexy come to life Mannequin that just wanted love. Nope! He was a evil, creepy ,rapey mannequin. He locked her in the storage room, after knocking out the light. He ripped her clothes off, and shoved her flash light up her ass.
Then for the next 8 or so hours he raped the shit out of her. He wasn't nice or soft. He gave no mercy. He raped every hole. Rape, Rape and more rape. He let her think he was letting her go and when she got to the clothes rack he grabbed her from behind and raped her some more. He went back to front so much you know she had a raging UTI after that shit.
Finally when the store was getting ready to open he let her go, and calmly like he didn't just rape the shit out of her for hours, walked to the store window and took his place. As she was leaving the store freaked out, she looked at him. He was looking right at her with evil red eyes. He sent thoughts into her mind that he would be raping her again tomorrow and that she better not make him come looking for her. If he had to leave the store he will rape her at her desk and be extra rough. The book ended with her running knowing that her ass was getting it again that night.
Now I don't know about anyone else, but if I was attack and raped by a crazy evil Mannequin I would be quitting my job. Like fuck that Job. But she was all thinking how she is going to be getting raped again that night. WTF. I really wasn't ready for the all the rape in this book. I figured she would freak that he was alive and have sex with him but the whole he is an evil rapey Mannequin gave this book a whole creeper vibe that I didn't see coming. To be honest it freaked me out. All my childhood fears of creepy mannequins rushed back and I will be keeping a wide berth from all Mannequins for now on. I gave the book 3 stars. Though it's dark and rapey, the writing was not bad and the Mannequin scared the shit out of me. Since this was a Halloween read it fits.

This was a surprisingly terrifying read ? Think that one mannequin episode of The Twilight Episode with a hint of the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who.
A security guard starts her first night at a mall and is stalked, cornered, and...confronted by a particularly violent and sadistic mannequin who never speaks or is even given much background on the magic (?) causing him/it to come to life.
I'm left with a lot of questions surrounding why this particular mannequin is the only one active at night. Why is he the only one? Or do they all come to life and he's just the most..adventurous? What sorcery is behind this? How intelligent is he? Does he have any other interests outside of hunting down and tying up pretty security guards? Hmmmm....
If you're into cold plastic, go for it but this could very easily be placed in the horror genre if the author wanted it to be.

Shut up. I read like 5 weird books a year and this will be one of them.
Could this have been better? Sure. Was it kinda creepy so it got an extra star? Yes.
I'd say check your TW just to be safe but in 18 pages? I was beyond a thought. I had 0 thinks. I was just confused and concerned by the end and rightfully so.

Lindy is a mall security guard and on her first night she notices one of the mannequins is missing from a window display. She assumes someone is playing a joke on her, but what she finds is something she never expected or even thought was possible.
This is a very short and pretty good read. I would consider this dark monster erotica due to rape and the protagonists mixed feelings about it. So approach with caution if you have triggers.

This book was very short, well-written, entertaining but a little terrifying.. Lindy, is starting her new job as a security guard for the mall. It's closing time, after everyone leaves, she makes her rounds, checking out everything... Until she comes across one store with a mannequin in the window... Wait did he just look at her?!

It was well written, and a totally new subject for this genre. I get the inhumane treatment, but I did not care for the ‘sadistic’ part of it, or the repeated pain. Out of all of the books I’ve read by this author, he/it was a true beast.

I’m kinda mad. There were two warnings but that isn’t the reason for the low stars. Even though non-con isn’t my thing. I would have given it 4 stars if it went for
Zero explanation for the attack. The mannequin never speaks, so there’s no way to know if it had been secretly watching her before that, or if it was a demon, or if it was an alien, or why it came to life at all. I usually accept a lot of mystery with AB’s books, but this was missing way too many pieces to make it interesting rather than just creepy.
Speaking of pieces, the logistics between the flashlight and the mannequin cock were confusing. What was going into which hole. Plus the unsanitary aspect of it shoving it in her ass and then in her vag? 🙅🏻♀️
Not that all these monster dicks from all the books I read would be the height of squeaky clean, but even I have limits.
She experiences a twisted pleasure at some point, but there wasn’t any explanation behind the attack so for me, it wasn’t titillating at all. WHY DID MANNY QUINN HAVE A PENIS⁉️

Is there something wrong with me? Was this supposed to disturb me or creep me out? In all honesty, I really thought that it was going to be much darker. Despite the fact that it was just 16 pages long, I really wanted to experience something other than boredom. Maybe I've just become hardened from reading books that are much darker.

A good storyline could have been made from this,..it was a very Quick(10 minutes read), fast pacing story about a mannequin that comes to life and has sex with the mall security woman,..and that’s all there is 🤷🏻♀️
