Where to start? I’m really a lot more boring and normal than my books might suggest. It may disappoint some to know that I’ve never had an illicit affair with a domineering pianist, nor have I ever met or dated a man who frequented sex clubs in London. I have however always had an overactive imagination, which may in part explain where my stories come from! My books may be fiction, but the setting of London was a deliberate choice, I was born and raised in London and as such it holds a special place in my heart which I hope comes across in my writing. Some of my best times have been spent with friends wandering the markets of Camden or sipping beers in Covent Garden.

I moved to Manchester to study, where I ended up living for over ten years. Originally I qualified as an archaeologist, but I soon realised that jobs in that sector were minimal and decided to put my enthusiasm to use by becoming a teacher. Now I split my time between teaching, and engaging my wildly over active imagination by writing. Currently I’m living abroad spending my days exploring, teaching and writing. Where ever I find myself I live with my ever suffering, but hugely supportive husband, our dog and a crazy half-wild cat who keeps the whole household on its toes.

Music is a huge influence in my writing, I listen to everything from Snow Patrol and Linkin Park to Evanescence and REM, in fact, those of you with a good memory for lyrics might even spot one or two lines popping up in my writing as you read. I enjoys writing a wide range of genres including comical real life stories and youth paranormal fantasy, but my first published novels are the adult themed trilogy series 'Untwisted.'

Review of Revealed Series

I came to this story which began as a Christmas short called Snowed In which I loved. Sean was a moody, mercurial character who was obviously carrying some demons and Allie was quite spunky but had no idea who he really was. I loved the way the first story ended. Then in this series where Sean's perspective was added and the cliffhanger came, you realised it was about to head into a different direction based on a slightly shaky foundation of deceit. As the books progressed, Allie headed to the US to be with Sean and her troubled best friend Cait who had experienced a major past trauma which impacted her relationship and interactions with men. Then comes Jack Felton, Sean's best friend and fellow actor.

Sean and Allie's relationship often yo-yo'd in that Allie was so in love but very insecure. Sean didn't help with some of the quite dumb choices he made revealing some revelations about his career and it's impact on their relationship but at each turn managed to convince Allie of his love and devotion. Allie, as the series progressed for me became somewhat annoying. She knew so much about Sean, she had an apparent built in lie detector and yet was so quick to believe anything she read or a non trustworthy character would say about Sean. Her reactions were somewhat naive and childish. She was constantly running off to think but in reality running off to sulk when she might have better served the relationship by sitting and talking. Her constant need for updates non every detail of everything was also grating. To be fair she wouldn't be a friend of mine, there will be many who identify with a love her.

Then there's Cait. Granted her trauma was still affecting her and things were unresolved in that area but her reactions to Jack, who was nothing but kind and obviously attracted to her, incredibly patient and aware he needed to tread carefully, began to grate. She was just plain rude because she liked him. That would make more sense if she was a teen but got annoying by book 3 when you consider how old and well travelled she is. I think the story could have been tighter as a trilogy. Relationships could have progressed quicker, issues resolved quicker etc. Sean's apparently dormant lack of dominance was also a shame because I know this author can capture this and has in her first series. Allie's character and her indecision and childishness would have benefited from that more. There was an underlying theme of insecurity amongst the characters, much less so with Jack. It's a quality I personally dislike in a character which makes it a harder read because of the constant self critique "maybe he won't want me now" theme. In the end I found Jack to be my favourite character. His patience and perseverance was of epic proportions. I give the book four stars because the overall story and premise was great, I got frustrated at the pace as I wished the outcomes in Book 4 came sooner but was glad when they did. Ironically the last few chapters could have been expanded and I wished they started a bit earlier to pad out the ending.

This series was a bit of a slow burn... Told from multiple POVs. It just seemed to take an age for anything to really happen and for that reason alone it frustrated the hell out of me!

I love this authors writing style is descriptive and informative. You can easily picture in your head characters, surroundings, situations etc. However, for me this series was too descriptive and hence it took forever to make a point.

By book four Sean Phillips really started to irk me. I loved his character in book one, but each subsequent book that followed he irritated more and more. He started off mean, moody, mysterious, demanding and dominating. Tick - all things I look for in a male MC. Then he goes back to America to start filming for a new season of his TV drama and it's like we've been introduced to a completely different character; he becomes weak, unsure of himself, spineless. I lost count the amount of times I wanted to shout out "for Christ sake, just grow a pair will you". Allie was the same. I quite liked her character in Unmasked but as the series went on she turned into some pathetic whingeing female. Also as the series progress these pair became insignificant and I found myself starting to skip paragraphs / chapters where they featured, they just bored me.

Jack Felton, I have mixed feelings about him. He was a rock for Cait, her saviour and we all love a knight in shining armour. But his wooing of Cait was painfully slow. I wanted him to be a bit more assertive. I get that she was all kinds if mixed up and scared, but her story was really drawn out. The book touches on a little bit of dark with abuse and attempted rape, but it's not graphic it's just mentioned.

I think this story could easily have been wrapped up in a trilogy. For me it needed more drama, more angst. It was a nice Mills & Boon type romance and if you like books that are all hearts and rainbows you will definitely love this book. Foe me, I enjoy books that are darker.

Completing Unveiled (book 3) with a cliffhanger left us waiting to find out what would be of Allie & Sean as Sean sets out to align his professional and personal life and be with the one he's meant to be.
At the same time we hold our breath to discover where will Cait & Jack's journey take them.
Gripping and thrilling moments.
Funny and cheeky scenes and all that hotness that Alice Raine can provide!

After reading the first three books in Alice Raine's Revealed Series, I was both excited and impatient to start the fourth and final book of the series, Undone. I was not disappointed!

Alice does an extraordinary job of creating engaging characters that the reader can connect with on a genuine level. Her female leads are strong, yet vulnerable....smart, yet unsure...innocent, yet sensual...women that the reader can most surely identify with and relate to. In turn, Alice's male leads epitomize the physical, intellectual, and emotional ideal, rendering the reader hopelessly in love. Reaching far beyond the basic formula for the erotic romance genre, Alice's characters and story lines reflect her uniquely creative and effective writing style.

Undone, being the fourth and final book in the Revealed Series, addresses all of the reader's concerns, answering each and every lingering question. Important issues introduced throughout the previous books, such as PTSD and Anxiety, are further explored, with the utmost sensitivity and realism.

And let's not forget about the sex! As in the previous three books, the sex scenes in Undone are intricately written, and in turn, extremely arousing. Alice creates a noticeable balance between sex and romance, each complimenting the other, and together providing for a complete and satisfying experience for the reader.

It didn't take me long to complete my reading of Undone. Once I began, it was extremely difficult to stop. Immediately re-immersed and re-invested in the lives and relationships of Allie and Sean and Caitlin and Jack, I craved their presence. Their troubles were my troubles. Their joys, my joys. And as I neared the final chapters of the novel I began to feel a sense of loss knowing that soon I would need to say goodbye to them. But that's ok. I can take solace in the fact that as long as Alice Raine continues to write, there will always be another couple for me to embrace.

Congratulations Alice Raine! Well Done!

Is it really the end of the series? I loved these characters from the first book and the seriously sexy snowed in storyline of Sean and Allie to Cait and her slow build romance with Jack. I was really hooked into the dual POV and enjoyed how Alice weaved their stories together.

I was so pleased to finally see Cait open up to Jack and for her to learn to trust again. The conclusion to their story had me all kinds of weepy.

Alice has a great way with words. I love that she is an English author. That shines through in her writing and some of the phrases she uses. She will always be an author I will automatically where I would automatically add her new release to my kindle and I'm looking forward to her next book/series.
