Overall, a good introduction to Islamic beliefs, practices, and cultures, but, as it was written in the 90s without any revisions, it is a bit outdated.

Slightly outdated now but the historical and cultural analysis of Islam is great information for anyone who wants to learn more about Islam.

Although a good resource for the history and foundations of Islam, this book has not been updated since its publication in 1996 and is therefore somewhat dated.
