“Remember, we’re unbreakable.”

I think this book could've been really great if the main couple was given more of a focus and the book wasn't filled with so many random scenes. Not to say I didn't like the secondary characters, they were great but more attention to Charlotte and Erin should've been given. While I absolutely loved the flashbacks, MCs actual reunion happened almost halfway through the book. I just wanted more of them. There were way too many characters. I kept mixing them up in the start, having gender neutral nicknames did not help. Despite these issues I really liked H.P. Munro's writing and will be sure to check out more work from her because she really knows how to write believable chemistry.

I love HP Munro’s books. They have interesting characters, well thought out plots, and more than anything else they are just good romances. When I found out she had a new one out, well I hit that buy button and got right to it. With that being said, before you buy this one, you will definitely want to read Grace Falls first. While Saving Grace is a follow-up story with two new protagonists, you will be lost in a sea of details and sub-characters if you don’t.

Erin Hunter is the town veterinarian in Grace Falls. She has lived there all her life, with the exception of the years she was away for college. Erin’s life has been professionally successful while being emotionally stunted. She has never been able to successfully let go of her first love, Charlotte Grace .

Charlotte Grace was born to Grace Falls most prominent family. Her father owned the lumber mill that employed the majority of the town’s population. Charlotte’s mother never let anyone forget that the Grace’s were the royalty of the town. No one was ever good enough and everyone was beneath them. You can imagine mean ol’ mama’s discontent when her daughter befriends the town's little Dr. DoLittle. Charlotte and Erin have a bond that is undeniable and as the years go on they become young lovers. That is until charlotte’s mother finds out and ships her daughter to boarding school, breaking both Erin and Charlotte’s hearts.

The story revolves around Erin and Charlotte finding their way back to each other. Throw in a bunch of zany supporting characters and you have some really funny moments. This novel is charming and heartwarming. While I don’t think it had quite the staying power as Grace Falls I did thoroughly enjoy my time with it. HP Munro is definitely on my automatic buy list.

Unforgettable!

You never forget your first love and in this case a forever kind of love. This book beckons you to sit, have a glass of wine, cozy up on the couch and let you take away. I was hooked on it from the beginning. Both have everything they ever wanted, except for the one thing they can't live without. The separation stretches on for years. Both growing through their teen years and adulthood with the help of friends. As their story unfolds, you can really feel that they belonged together. It's beautifully written, descriptive, incredible romantic and easy going. The characters are endearing and who you would love to meet. You just have to read to know what I mean. Now I'm sad that I've to let them go.

This is a spinoff if you will of Grace Falls set in the same small town from the first novel and features some of the towns characters sprinkled through.

This time the main focus is on Charlotte Grace, her Grace ancestors had started the town and her parents, (especially her mother) were very much about their standing in the community and making themselves look and act a certain way, and maintaining their wealth and position. Charlotte hasn't been back to town in 20 years. She didn't even get told her dad had died years back. But her mother is now reaching out and she finds herself thinking back.

She is haunted by memories of a childhood friendship turned to love when they were teens. Erin who is now the town veterinarian. Erin is also haunted by their unfortunate love that was meddled with by the Grace family and Charlotte's lack of fight for them.

There's a lot of strong feelings here, and I genuinely felt for both characters and found the prologue and flashbacks to their childhood friendship to be so sweet and lovely!

I DID NOT like Charlotte's 'best friend' character, Molly. I found her to be entirely too much of a busy body that overstepped in ways I didn't think were healthy or funny. I get these things usually go for a quirky best friend character to motivate a character into things - but for me it's the weakest parts of most rom-coms. So it really stuck out here, for me. Maybe because I lack the understanding of a dynamic where I consistently tell a supposed friend NOT to do something, and they continue to do it and I would still stay friends with them. I just personally wouldn't put up with that. But I digress.

I enjoyed most of the other town members and their antics, especially Teddy. She's a riot.

Just a lovely second chance romance on Kindle Unlimited.

I'm going to have to rate this book in two parts.

The first part of the book gets a 4* rating. This includes all the quirky characters we met in Grace Falls who once again are cause for some hilarious situations. Only this time they're joined by a threesome of Charlotte's meddling friends. (Which includes a cameo from Joanne & Ellie from Silver Wings)

Then there's the part of Erin and Charlotte. For literally almost half of the book there was no interaction at all between the two main characters aside from flashbacks. By the time we truly get to their story I found myself not caring about their relationship. I mean how can I, when there's no chemistry because the author has the characters constantly caught up in crazy situations. Sadly I ended up skimming the majority of the book towards the end. This part only gets a 2* rating.

I wish the author had spent more time on the main character and not turn the story into a Scooby Doo mystery in the very end. Though this book suffers less from the constant head hopping that afflicted 'Grace Falls' and has far less spelling and grammar issues, I still can't give it anything higher than an overall 3* rating.

Now I'm wondering whether I even want to read 'Silver Wings' anymore despite its raving reviews.

After reading and enjoying Mutual Benefits I read Grace Falls and this sequel Saving Grace. Both were sweet romantic stories. 4.5 stars, which rounds up to 5 stars. Recommend.

Loved it.

I highly recommend reading the first book in this series, Grace Falls, to fully enjoy the characters in the wonderful town. Regardless, this book was a wonderful read. Though the story is about Erin Hunter and Charlotte Grace, it really revolves around Charlotte and her relationship with the entire town. This story takes place after the first book ends but before it's Epilogue.
Both characters are well written and likable. The supporting characters definitely add to the story and Teddy definitely comes to life in this one. I wish Jessica had more of a role as she's just great because she's smart and not understood by the small town...makes me laugh. The characters, the dialogue, the chemistry both romantic and platonic was done well in this book. I couldn't put it down. Plus I'm a sucker of people finding and finally understanding each other. Read it.

A delightfully enjoyable read! We are back in Grace Falls with some of its quirky residents. Loved the witty dialogues & banters; and I always find myself smiling or laughing away. Came across a new word when I read the series .... “Clitoral damage”.... this time round 😉 Oh... how I loved Teddy 🙂

A solid 4 ⭐️

I went back to read Grace Falls (Book 1) and fell in love with Munro’s works all over again. Saving Grace is a sequel of sorts, I love the smooth flow and witty conversations writer comes up with. I will definitely add author’s works to my must-read list.

Similarly to the first book in the series, the romance is sweet if a bit forgettable and formulaic. But once again I find myself annoyed by the supporting characters. Might be just my opinion, but I don't consider "friends" people who gossip/bet about me, try to get me to do things under false pretenses and snoop in my private communication.

I've been working my way through H.P. Munro's books. This one was new to me and I enjoyed being back with the Grace Falls cast. I enjoy the humour and every single character. Saving Grace did just what I wanted it to do. It took me away to a small southern town, got me smiling and my heart fluttering with the romance. I recommend reading Grace Falls before this book and I highly recommend Silver Wings. Saving Grace touches on a couple of characters from Silver Wings so it's not a necessity to read it before the Grace Falls books I just think everyone should as it is fantastic.

I enjoyed this story, although not quite as much as the previous Grace Falls book. To begin with I thought the story had more depth and a wider range of characters. However, about two thirds of the way through I found I was getting slightly irritated.
The author seemed to be playing with the main characters to just make the story last longer, the way they reacted and behaved just didn't seem right. It almost reached the point were I didn’t care if they had a happy ending or not. Fortunately this stopped before I gave up on the book.

This was a more complex book than Grace Falls but not quite as much fun to read.

So honestly I did not read book one and I guess that is a must do with these books as they do not stand up alone. That being said as another reviewer wrote you dont even get the two mains interacting till well into the book..not even back story in some chapters but more like little skits for comedic effect or god knows?. I trust it would be more enjoyable if you read the first book as there is a shitload of characters in this book. I again trust these parts of the book would have been more enjoyable having read the first book, but the summery of that book did not interest me... so these chapters just came out as static to me. Anyway the writing was good and I have loved some of this authors other works and I have to rate it something so a three from me and if you read these books start with book one or don't bother.

Munro writes characters with depth and struggles that are realistic (at least in my mind - I'm never going to be from the family that owns most of the town). Saving Grace is the sequel in the series. The mysterious Charlotte Grace - the actual secret of the town is back in town. Erin Hunter is the vet who still hasn't moved on from the heart break from her teens. Both characters are engaging.

I'm really hoping for another in the series. I really enjoy the depth of the supporting characters.

Thoroughly Enjoyed It!

This was a pleasant surprise. I did read it right after Grace Falls so the inhabitants of the town were still fresh on my mind. Charlotte and Erin’s story was a tale of young love torn apart by the controlling hands of Charlotte’s mother. Charlotte could never forgive herself for the hurt she caused Erin but she knew she did the right thing, Maybe! Erin whos love life was never really on track as well as maintaining her dream to be a veterinarian is harboring such hurt inside for her unrepairable heart. A chance meeting of a friend of her best friend brings her back to the memories of Grace Falls and what Charlotte left behind. This story unravels itself with the hurt and betrayal and the fear that Charlotte and Erin could never get past. During the antics of a small town this story is just again a sweet love story with two people who need each other so much. This was definitely a great continuation. I realize these two books were from 5 or 6 years ago but it still was a great read.....

Another Grace Falls romance

I wish that I hadn't waited as long as I had between this book and Grace Falls. It was only three weeks, but I've read 30 books since then. I really enjoyed it, but I had forgotten some of the other characters and their backstories. I think it would have been better for me to have retained a bit more to have an even greater appreciation for Saving Grace. I also remembered Ellie and Joanne (sp?) from their bit parts in Silver Wings, and I love it when books are connected like all of these.

I remembered some of Charlotte's story though, so I knew who she was from the beginning. I didn't remember Erin at all. Both characters were great and well-developed, and the book had an enjoyable plot. This was a sweet second chance at love story. I hope that we'll get the missing story of Ellie and Joanne soon.

Enjoyed reading it.

I'm a sucker for second chance romance but I often get bored with flashbacks and thus, end up some books of this trope at DNF. Thankfully, this one did not bore me out of my head even if it has flashbacks and has engaged me right from the beginning and distracted me from my raging toothache. (Swollen wisdom tooth, it hurts like a futhermucker and for this book to have distracted me is a high compliment, haha). This is my first Munro and I loved it. The pacing was nice, the writing too. Loved the funny parts. I was expecting more "fireworks" during the MCs' reunion though but it was subdued and perhaps a bit fast for me. Nonetheless, this was a treat.

Good follow-up to the first book in series

I found this book very enjoyable to read. There were a few grammatical errors but didn’t really detract from the story. I could really relate to Erin’s pain with the rib injury. I was in a motorcycle accident and ended up with 9 broken ribs and a hemopneumo thorax which is an linjury due to one fracture that ended up puncturing lung. Not fun for Erin or me. It was definitely a slow burn romance until it wasn’t.

Often I think that sequels in a series spend too much time reminding us who all the characters are; in this book, I could have used a few more reminders as it took me a bit to remember the names and relationships from book 1. I really like this two part series - the characters and setting are comforting and the dialogue often makes me feel like I am there.

A bit slow to start but a great finish

So this book takes a while to get in to it but it's definitely worth it. It's a sad book for a lot of reasons. 22 years wasted over false reasons. But it has a very happy ending. I also loved all the crossover characters from Munro's other title "Grace falls."

Another great read!

Love will always find it’s way back to where it needs to be. Great characters and dialogues with comedic banter from all the characters. I love the villains in this book and you pin for the main character to find their way back to them for a HEA.
