Midnight Rendezvous

I love to read, it actually relaxes me and puts a smile on my face. There are those rare moments when you come across a story that is like water for a dehydrated person and Midnight Rendezvous is that story. It is raw, edgy, but very real. I often wonder would we as God's people have it in us to forgive as Keri and Mya did. No, the forgiveness did not happen over night, it was a process. But, a process that brought freedom and other blessings into their lives. Sometimes blessings come from tragedy and joy comes from pain.

Blanche was my favorite character. I wanted to wrapped my arms around her and give her a hug. She was a hot mess, but I could see all her hurt and pain hiding under the mask that she put in place to protect her heart. Sometimes you have to look beyond the mask to get to the heart of a matter and I love how Suprina Frazier did that with this character. Suprina has a special way of making you love the character that you really would like to hate.

And the male characters in this book were strong, loving and God fearing. I love how Suprina was able to show their vulnerable side without making them seem effeminate. I enjoyed reading their interaction with the female characters.

Midnight Rendezvous was amazing. Don't know how Suprina Frazier was able to write a live story off the cuff every weekend. The lady is talented and gifted. If you have not read it please read it, it is not for the faint of heart and if you don't like edgy Christian fiction then this story is not for you. But, if you love to see your characters weather through real issues and problems then get a copy. It was a joy to read, it was a drink of cold ice water on a hot steamy day.
