Alannah Foley... aka 'The Pyjama Writer'

Born in Australia, raised in the UK, Alannah is a writer of both fiction & non-fiction, covering topics as diverse as capers in a campervan, the vagaries of living with an obsessive cyclist, travels Down Under, and tales ‘full of twists, turns & tickles’ based in Cornwall where she currently lives.

She lived in her Aussie birthplace for five years in her twenties, and managed to return to Old Blighty devoid of shark or snake bite. Mozzies, however, did love to use her for target practice!

What an enjoyable read! Alannah does an outstanding job of hooking us readers into her Campervan/Bushman stories! They are full of great characters, some that you easily misread in the beginning, but then their true selves emerge as does their dastardly deeds! The development of the main characters throughout the series is extremely well done and you so look forward to what the next round of shenanigan's are going to be that they become involved in. Not intentionally, it just seems that quiet and placid don't apply to them even though they are just doing their jobs. There is always humor with twists and turns in these stories to keep you guessing and turning the pages! You don't ever know until near the end as to the real who done it is! So read with confidence that you are in for a readers treat!

Scott, Red, Penny, and Dorian are in Whales to film the next episode of the Campervan Bushman TV Show. This episode is being filmed at Camp YEO (Young Ex-Offenders). Most of the residents of the camp are young adults who made a mistake and are trying to turn their lives around.

The camp is run by Lord Bassett, with the help of Ms. Jones and Harry. Ms. Jones works mostly with the girls in the kitchen, while Harry teaches the boys some skills in the wood shop.

Unfortunately, not is all as well as it seems around Camp YEO. Several of the kids seem to always be at odds and ready to fight at the drop of a hat. This is especially true of Sparky, who happens to be Harry's son. When one of the boys Sparky was arguing with is found unconscious in a tool shed, it is just the first in a string of unusual circumstances happening around the camp. There are also rumors of robberies occurring in the local area.

When an old friend of Lord Bassett's shows up and then ends up dead, Red spots Sparky standing on a hill behind where the "accident" occurred. Is Sparky responsible or just an observer?

Was the death an accident or murder? Can Scott and the gang figure out what is going on? Will it mean the end of Camp YEO? Who is responsible for the robberies?

This book starts a little slower than the others, but is still full of twists, turns, and surprises.

The 3rd installment in the Campervan Bushman Series. Scott and the crew are at it again. This time the Aussie is filming at a Wales location in a camp for young ex-offenders, Camp YEO, teaching them bush skills so they can learn how to live off the land. With him are returning characters Red, Penny and Dorian. The camp is located on the property of Lord Basset and he helps to oversee it. There is plenty of mystery surrounding missing jewelry, camp interpersonal relationships and a suspicious death or two. Can Scott figure out exactly what is happening and who is responsible? Is Scott and Pennys' relationship starting to change? A very good, solid, enjoyable read.
