How far would you go to find an explanation if you were still the only magician in the entire world, and no-one knew why?
You could try reading some ancient history books. That’s pretty harmless, at least to start off with. Or you could experiment with some brand new spells. That’s a bit more risky, but still nothing you can’t handle.
Or maybe you could go back in time two thousand years to question the one magician who might have the answer? That’s dangerous by anyone’s standards. You might get stuck there. You might die there. Or you might discover that you never become a magician at all…
Jax and Shannon return in another exciting adventure, where nothing is as it seems, and the past could be rewritten in a heartbeat.
The Legacy of Androva is a series of contemporary fantasy books for a lower young adult / upper middle grade audience. The stories are self-contained, with no cliffhangers between books.

This book was definitely the best out of the first three I have read so far! I really liked that this book focused more on Jax's character than Shannon's. In this book it led up to character development of Jax's character that I enjoyed.
What I liked the most was the improvement in world-building. I thought that the time travel was very innovative, especially the type of time travel and the fact that Jax got to see many different paths that his life could have taken.
Most of the plot in this book wasn't wasted. Penny, Darius, and Shannon, Jax, romance aren't particularly my favorites. Jax went to Shannon's school on some days to "protect her" which was a bit much. There was this whole thing where he was thinking about how he was superior compared to other guys? And Shannon was describing his green eye and appearance so many times.
I still want more from Darius' character other than being sidelined or left out several times. I read through this book quickly. There were moments in this book that led to Jax's character growth. It was interesting to see many topics, to get conclusions. ✅PLOT 🆗CHARACTERS 🆗 PLOT-TWIST
The introduction of time travel was made in the first book, and in the book description, so it shouldn't be a spoiler. As is usual with time-travel books, the "scientific" background can get confusing, but I think in this book, the author got away with it by keeping the number of time-jumps low. The characters are finally getting more distinct personalities, which I hope will continue in the sequels. Otherwise, a nice teen romance with a touch of sci-fi.
Definitely my favorite book in the series. My favorite part was when Jax went back in time to save his mom, and then she told him to let her die just so he could have Shannon remember him. Pretty sure I cried in that scene.😭
