This was just an amazing story of possible time travel, multiple dimensions or something altogether different. There is Jena who works in a restaurant. One day her daily life changes and confuses her. A stranger is looking for her and no matter how often he appears, she can not make sense of who he is and what he wants. I was so drawn into this story, I wanted to figure out the mysterious shifting that Jena dealt with. Her brother and best friend were supportive and helpful while battling their own problems. A great cast of characters that really are well written and full of life. I felt like I knew them all, bumps, bruises, and craziness.
I love Bree Wolf's writing and this book was no exception. She brings a freshness to her books that allow you to really become involved.

When the author asked me to read her latest book, I agreed quickly. Having read her two other books, I was fairly confident that I was in for a good read and I wasn’t disappointed–It’s another terrific book by Bree Wolf!

Jena, a waitress and aspiring journalist, falls and hits her head while at work and things get weird. Her best friend, informs her there was a handsome mysterious man watching her, looking for her, but when Jena catches sight of him, he disappears. She wakes up and it’s four years later. Again, the mysterious man appears and disappears without making contact. Time jumps backward and then leaps forward again. There are strange elements that are continuous through the time jumps–a bookmark with a quote about time; Jena is plagued with nausea in the different episodes of her life. Always, the mysterious man is watching her. As the book progresses their interactions become more involved and Jena pursues him, determined to find out who he is.

The dialogue is authentic, with plenty of fun banter. As the carefully crafted relationships between the characters evolve through the time jumps, the reader develops care and concern, and even anxiety for them. The slices of Jena’s life, recounted out of the order they occcurred rounded out her personality, her motivations and desires.

I love a puzzle and this book had me conjecturing from beginning to end. Although the signs were sprinkled throughout, becoming more pronounced as the book progressed, never once did I suspect the ending.

What I loved: The time jumps, the suspense, the surprise ending.

What I didn’t love: I would have liked if a few more clues were dangled and if Jena and the mysterious man had more interaction.

Overall: Five stars! A fun, quick read that will have you thinking about it for days after you’ve finished it.

"A Love Trapped In Time" is a mesmerizing mystery with a hefty dose of romance that begins when Jena Gardner wakes up one morning to find her life has skipped ahead four years. Attributing the shift in time to a fall at work and bumping her head the weirdness gets worse when an attractive man begins asking for her at the restaurant where she works only to disappear when she approaches him. But this is only the start of strange occurrences that will have Jena shifting through time and waking exhausted from dreams filled with a recurring beeping sound and a strange but familiar voice. Even her silver bookmark engraved with the words "Today & Tomorrow" is a clue to her past that she can't remember receiving.

Shifting through time the reader gets snapshots of Jena's thoughts and memories, and are pulled into her dreams, aspirations and relationships. Yet for all the weirdness and Jena's constant bouts of nausea and dizziness there are moments of humour and witty banter especially between her brother Andy and her feisty friend Abby.

The intensity and suspense of the plot heats up when Jena begins confronting the stranger who gives her only cryptic responses to her questions and refuses to give her his name or details of their relationship. With twists and turns in Jena's journey the mystery becomes even more compelling when she pursues her dream of becoming a journalist and is asked to critique a science-fiction novel by a well-known author about time travel. Bree Wolf keeps the reader on the edge of their seat as events unfold and move breathlessly to a startling but satisfying conclusion.

Like the plot Bree Wolf has perfected characters with natural but complex personalities that are unforgettable. Jena Irene Gardener raised by a overly-protective grandmother after the death of her parents is confused, tense and frustrated as she tries to unravel reasons behind her leaps in time, and the identity of her stalker. As the story progresses she becomes more determined and impulsive, racing after the stranger into alleyways and even across a frozen lake. She loves her unpredictable and aggravating brother Andy and leans on her unconventional friend Abby who's kind-hearted but bluntly honest. Jena often gets swept up in their lively interaction and bumbling love life which adds spice and laughter to the drama.

High praise for "A Love Trapped In Time" which kept me captivated from beginning to end. This is a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and looking for answers until the shocking conclusion.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book through GoodReads in exchange for an honest review. This book was def a quick read for me. I could not put it down. I started it and finished it in a few hours. This book was different from any book I have ever read. It had time travel and romance (both of which I love). But the twist at the end of this book had me completely surprised. I truly did not see it coming. I have never read anything by Bree Wolf before, but that is about to change. She is a brilliant writer who keeps you guessing from start to finish. I'm intrigued that this book is #1 in the Where There's Love Series. I can't wait to read the 2nd book in this series!

I love Bree Wolf's Regency novels, so when I found this contemporary romance, I immediately picked it up.
This is the story of Jena, a waitress who dreams of being a columnist, who one sudden day, after she faints at work, starts seeing a mystery man looking for her, but she can never make actual contact with him. Then, strange things start to happen, and she appears at different times in her life as she tries to find what's happening with her.

I found the first third of the book a little flat despite what was happening to Jena, and the only thing I could focus on was the story between andy (Jena's brother) and Abby (her best friend and co-worker). Their bickering was hilarious. But then the story improved, and little by little it was clear what the reason was for her shifts in time. I couldn't put down the book until I finished it.

I found it quite entertaining, though I wouldn't call it a romance, as there is no romance at all. In a few random encounters, she wants to know who he is, he only tells her some cryptic words before disappearing, and by the time she figures out who he is, the story is over.

It's a nice, entertaining story, and I liked the explanation for those "time shifts". That earns it the half star it needed to reach 4.

I love her historical romances and this was a different time travel romance. It started a little bit strange and I had mixed thoughts but as the story was developing I started loving it and I really loved the book

Bree Wolf has done it once again. This is an absolutely gripping novel. This story is full of twists and turns; filled with a bit of mystery and suspense. I absolutely love the way the author brings the characters to life in the pages. I was absolutely gripped and love how it was all brought together at the end. I will not risk saying more as I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
Highly recommend reading this.

A well written, haunting tale, I found that I was hooked from the opening chapter all the way through to the surprising end. Although it is a romance, the story is more of a testimony to the nature of a love that refuses to let go even when all appears to be lost. As Jenna battles to make sense of her life, a stranger keeps appearing at unexpected times. She is drawn to him and somehow knows him, but being lost in a place that she can't define, Jenna battles to make the connection to her association with him. Apart from Jenna, I found the rest of the characters interesting, if somewhat annoying at times. However, without them Jenna would not have been able to work through her confusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Just how powerful the strength of the ties of love are is what this story is all about.
It is an amazing and interestingly novel viewpoint and it made me stop to consider whether what was so cleverly written could in fact be a truth.
This novel shows a new and fresh theme for Bree Wolf and her story is just as engrossing as her previous historical novels and novellas.
What a treat it has been to read this story and once again to be thoroughly entertained.
With this in mind I am more than happy to recommend this book.
I voluntarily read a free copy of this ebook and the above is my unbiased review.

Wow! This book held me spellbound until the end. What an awesome story! You may not think so right away because you will have so many questions going on in your brain wondering if this is a sci-fi, a who dun it, a what’s-it, or a whatever. However, it is actually an eventful mystery that doesn’t quite explain what is going on until near the end. Then it kicks you in the gut. And you will go ‘ooohhh, aaahhh yes’. Then when you think back on it you’ll go ‘of course’, ‘so that’s why’, ‘ah yes, now I see’. Then maybe you will want to read this story again now that you know. Well done Ms Bree. Excellent.

I received a free copy from the author Bree Wolf in exchange of a honest and fair review.

For a few moments reading this book I almost DNF, this isn’t my cup of tea, I’m really glad that I continue reading. Started very confusing, but around 30% it made me curious and anxious, I really wanted to know the ending. To understand logical explanation, It had to have one that I was not seeing..

The author gives small clues during the chapters, so keep your eyes open and follow the tips!

An interesting book, with a mysterious, suspenseful feel
This book pulled me right in, while at the same time making me wonder what I missed, as I found it bouncing back and forth in time, sort of like reading a mysterious time travel book—yet it didn’t follow a set time frame pattern. I couldn’t put it down, as I determined to find out how it was going to end. I recommend it as a good book, and one you will be glad you finished to the wonderful ending!

Wow, this book was fantastic!

This is the first book I've read that I had a hard time not reading the end to see what the ending was about. The writing of this book is incredible. The characters come alive, the plot draws you in and even though you can't wait to see what happens you just don't want it to end! I highly recommend reading this book.

I received this book free to read and leave an honest review.

Written in the first person, this contemporary time-travel love story, delved into the emotions of the main character (Jena) who was constantly followed by a silent mystery man. Other ongoing scenarios occurred between a friend and her brother to distract, right up until the last chapter when all was revealed and the mystery understood. Much different than the author's Regency novels, but well-written and intriguing just the same.

I love it!

Probably not everyone cup a tea but I really enjoy this one.
Up to 70% you will thought this one a sci fic or paranormal romance but if you notice few hints the author tried to tell you, you realised that's not the case.

I don't want to give any spoilers for this one, is better if you just go blind!:)

3.5 Short review because I don't want to give anything away. The beginning was a little slow but picks up when Jenna and Mystery Guy meet face to face after that I couldn't put it down. The story is both mystery and romance, I like nearly all the characters except Abby she kinda grated a few times in the beginning. Overall the story is well told and engaging.

This was such an interesting book- and I still can’t decide if I like how quirky or weird the twists were or not. I really liked the overall idea of the story, but the characters didn’t always feel so real to me. Sometimes they weren’t as believable. Definitely a unique storyline that I enjoyed though!

I have a difficult time reviewing this book. When I started reading it I was confused by what seemed to be time travel situations (it was not) and almost stopped reading it but it kept pulling me in to read more to find out what was going on. By time I got to the end I LOVED the book and was glad I stayed with it.

This is a wonderful book that explores the power of love. Well-developed characters in a suspenseful possibly time-travel situation that is not readily understandable. I got sucked right in to Jena’s changing responses as she struggles to understand what is happening to her.

This is one story that distorts time, but not for any reason you may think. The story is suspenseful and gets weird at various points doing the story, but becomes clear as we come to the climax and ending. This is a short story, but is very much worth the suspense.
