Enjoyable for the way the characters become alive as you progress into each of the stories, The first how easily a conflict can turn into unnecessary deaths, Book 2 continues with some of the same people and their stories ,Book 3 is absolutely brilliant in bringing the hazards of flying cargo planes in war with everything from freight to human beings alive, wounded, and back to their families.
Can't comment on number three. Being a Vietnam Vet I don't read books about it nor watch movies either. Saw enough to not want to regurgitate 1968 - 1969. First two are very good and highly recommend. If you weren't "there", number three is probably very good also.
Excellent characters with authentic settings from three wars , the last being Vietnam. Plenty of twists and logical surprises. Very good series and worth continuing. Well worth the time.

These stories are amazing. They leave you feeling as though you are actually flying the aircraft and fighting behind the scenes for the people at the front.
