Based on a title that could be misleading, "Mama's Boyfriend" was so much more than I expected. Refreshing, inspiring and hopeful unlike anything I've EVER read!
BRAVO! Way to flip the script! I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

Off The Block
I like the fact that King didn't come into that family beating his chest like he was owed something. His actions spoke louder than words. Rachel's family needed that intervention because without it there would've been slot of sad singing and casket carrying!
More of our Black people need more Black people with promising beliefs and stick to it ism.
This story touches many wayward and forward hearts and minds. This story should be on a Hugh school curriculum to be read by many!

Inspirational
Very inspirational story. A little to perfect but good read. Overall king was a good man a little too perfect himself. We need more men out there like king but out would have like to see some of his flaws. We saw everyone's else's . Hopefully men and young boys will be inspired by this story. Realizing they can achieve anything they want to if they set out to do it. I would have like to see what happened with tiana's bobby daddy, did he make it to the nav or what.

What a breath of fresh air....I was expecting the typical story don't get me wrong I love my urban books but Mr. Morris took this story two, three, four steps beyond. There is light and hope at the end of the tunnel . no dead end path has to become your final destination. Bravo

Loved it!
It is so refreshing to see positive role models and not just drug dealers and trap queens! I was pleasantly surprised and couldnt put this down until I finished it! Of course I'm gonna look for more from this author and read them all!!! Thank you!

Good story/ poor execution
This story had a really good message. However, it(the message) was almost loss due to the poor writing style. The chosen writing style was extremely distracting.
