Sugar and spice and an old secret that's not-so-nice...
A sweet deal lands in NYC baker Ali Daniel's lap. What could go wrong with a simple delivery of mini cinnamon rolls to a charity auction?
When one of the auction items goes missing, the finger of blame swings wildly until it suddenly spins in Ali's direction.
Will Ali become a scapegoat or expose a culprit who's been hiding in plain sight?
This book features an amateur, woman sleuth.
Secrets and Sweet Rolls is the first book of a three part series where clues for the murder mystery in the upcoming Villains and Vanilla Cream appear throughout all three standalone books. Can you spot the clues? The second book is Chaos and Chocolate Mousse.
I'm an avid reader. If I'm finishing up a book and don't have another lined up and ready to go - I get really nervous. Yes, I know that's very geek like.
Speaking of geek - I'm a fan of anything action adventure, urban fantasy, paranormal (paranormal romance - not so much), and supernatural. If I ever go to Comic Con, I'll dress up as Lt. Uhura (except I might add some garters to be naughty). Walking Dead and Supernatural are two of my 'can't miss' shows on tv right now.
I started writing fanfic based on my favorite movie at age 12. Since then I've taken many creative writing classes. Several of my short stories have been published online and in print.
HoneyBun shop secrets and sweet rolls o my. This was another cute read. As always I loved everything. Plot interesting. Pacing perfect. Characters hilarious. But now it’s on to last book in series? I hope not because I’m totally vested in Ali and her shop and her sleuthing. It’s so cute. So I’m off to the next read. Bravo Ms. Harmon
Great read. But not really a mystery as I guessed the culprit from the start. A charity auction and a stolen journal. Who stole it and why? A good break read but not really a mystery.
Very short and in a longer book this would only be section. But the writer holds promise. I will continue to read her and follow her career with interest. And the dessert descriptions are dangerous for a diet.
Another short mystery - no filler, just the mystery, again solved before everyone goes home. I read this in one sitting. Characters this time are Ali, her mom, mom's best friend, and a society party.

As always, the author has quite the lineup of characters. I loved the characters and the plot. My only complaint is that it is soooo short. I think if the book had been a full length novel, it might have been a 4 or 5 star book. It is harder to feel connected to the characters when the book is so short. The book is well written and just makes you want more. I will be reading more by this author.
