With their team stuck at the base doing data searches as they hunt for where the dark prime disappeared to, Haruki T’Alq finds himself restless from inactivity and suffocating among his many siblings and three newborns. When a solo tracking mission falls into his lap, he grabs it like a lifeline and heads out to the Alaska Triangle in search of a potential bolt hole for Satalis.
Deanna Bostik was living the dream as the lead archeologist on the most important discovery the world would never know about. The only thing ruining her perfect world was that she couldn’t figure out how to power up the ancient device until the man who’d been haunting her dreams for months was captured at gun point outside of the mountain entrance.
Corruption, greed, and betrayal will leave them fighting for their lives, and Haruki will be forced to decide whether to save his mate or reveal the location of his Dranovian siblings . . . the only ones who can control the power of pyramid hidden in the mountain.
another hybrid dranovian finds his mate...inside a dranovian pyramid/fortress hidden inside an Alaskan mountain needless to say, there such danger and a lot of surprises...exciting and potentially dangerous times ahead. and a third wave coming in December. can't wait! Re-read april, 2017. Still loved it.
Intriguing and exciting some of the key plot points are drawn from real world events which I found interesting. the author lists links at the end of the book, things such as the floating city Mirage. this is Alderics debut and I can honestly say I didn’t care for him much to start. He came across as a pompous ass. The dranovians told him on many occasions they don't have any idea about their heritage, even their powers were learnt via trial and error, destroying anomalous beasts just sort of happens they have no idea what the words mean and that other beast bound fear them. I found it quite amusing when launching a rescue mission for Haruki, Mikal opted to only have his unmated unattached single Pringles attend the mission just in case except himself of course. You do get a deeper introduction to the dronovian culture, civilisation and heritage. Plus a very sweet heartwarming family blending with an exciting new discovery.
I really enjoy the First Wave and Second Wave series. Deanne and Haruki meet for the first in an usual way in an exciting place. It's an exciting place because it's full of secrets and has a portal. Deanne is a very sweet woman and bounds with Ainsley right away. New characters are introduced too.
Haruki is sent to Alaska to see if he can pick up any clues as to the whereabouts of Satalius. Once there he stumbles on the excavation of a pyramid. He also meets his mate and discovers that Dranovians are more powerful than he and his brothers could ever have imagined..
Love the writing of Mikayla's Lane. You are taken on a ride of your life. Deanna investigating a pyramid inside a mountain . Haruki sent to find the strange happenings. Murder, greed, and betrayal. With lots of really bad guys. Excellent read.
I just love this series. I get so giddy when I know one is coming out soon. They are just great stories. Keep em coming!!! If you could get them out faster, I will not complain.
One of the best books I have read in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. What should have been a simple hike and look around turned into Haruki finding his mate, a pyramid that could talk, a nest of really bad guys, and a group of aliens that knew what he was. This book was fast paced and kept me riveted to find out what happened next.
I look forward to reading anyone of these books that turn up. I'm engrossed in them when I start as its too intense, intriguing to put down. They are all just so brilliant and I can't wait for them to kill the dark prime.
This is a very interesting and very well written story that has some very intriguing points in it. Also it is a great romance. It has it all science, fantasy and great hero's.
