Raja Williams #6
Vendetta in Venice
When veteran police inspector Francesco Morelli is called to an historic Catholic Church in the middle of the night, he finds a Catholic priest has been brutally murdered in front of the altar. The killer, who was shot in the act of committing the crime, lies on the operating room table hanging on by a thread. Riots threaten the city, and the inspector’s own superiors and the Catholic Church demand what appears an open and shut case to be closed quickly. However, the cold blooded killer turns out to be a young man with no criminal history and no memory of the foul deed. An attempt on the young man’s life forces the inspector to make a career-threatening decision—to hide the killer until he can figure out what’s going on.
Murder is never simple.
Raja and Vinny are called to the beautiful city of Venice, Italy to help. What started as a single murder leads them to an international counterfeiting ring, a mysterious hacker known as Darkman, and centuries-old Vatican secrets thought long since buried.
Follow Raja and Vinny as they race against the clock to unravel the mystery before the sinister plot reaches its deadly conclusion.
Like all the Raja Williams mysteries, Vendetta in Venice has great characters, plenty of action, gripping suspense and lots of fun. It can be read as a stand-alone novel or part of the series.

"Bam Shabam! Another Great Novel About Raja Williams"
This embracing story begins in Italy with the murder of a San Salvador Catholic Church priest by a 20-year old young man. After stabbing the priest, he plans to commit suicide but a police officer witnesses the killing and shoots the murderer. The young man is hospitalized, and Inspector Francesco Morelli is assigned to the task of keeping the injured suspect in a safe place. The suspect's mother seeks an attorney who knows who can help the mother as well as her son's status as the prime suspect. But there are higher leaders in the Vatican who are involved ... and it's the mission of Raja Williams and his partner in crime solving, Vinny. This novel is extremely well written and the extraordinary story will captivate you by the ways Raja accomplishes all his tasks. I have read all of Jack Thompson's novels, and I highly recommend them all.

Another amazing book in the Raja Williams series, all standalone but with the same brilliant characters.
When Father Bernado Messina is stabbed on the alter steps of his church, St. Salvador's in Venice, the city was baying for blood. The murderer was Mariano Silvestry, a young, clean living student who had disappeared two years previously, before Mariano could turn the knife on himself he was shot by a security guard. he didn't die and had no memory of what had happened.
There was pressure from high up for Inspector Morelli to close the case quickly, it was a cut and dried, Mariano had been caught in the act....or was it, there were questions. When an assassination attempt was made on Mariano's life whilst in the hospital he was moved to a safe house and his distraught mother contacted Raja Williams for help.
Oxford educated Raja is a very wealthy, very successful Pi, he asks no payment just a " pay it forward" meaning that he can ask for a favour and frequently does. Raja is assisted by his beautiful, sassy partner, Vinny Moore, computer hacker extraordinaire, sometimes legally but often not.
This story is fast paced, suspense filled with an escalating body count....trust no one, the evil goes as far as the Vatican.
I love the way that Jack Thompson has so obviously researched the art, the treasures and the history of Italy and the Catholic church, his descriptive powers allow me to paint a picture in my mind, he writes brilliant characters like the Inspector who loves using phrases learned from American crime books, and he includes gentle flirting between Vinny and Raja. A well earned five stars.

As always
Jacks books are addictive! Once I start, I can put the book down, until I've finished. I've never read a mystery book like Raja Williams. In fact, I've never read any kind of book like Raja Williams. I don't want the series to end (are you listening, Jack? Keep writing). So, inbetween Raja books, I read whatever's available, that sparks my interest. If you've never read a Jack Williams book, start now!! Again, thank you Jack for putting your books in Kindle Unlimited. I really appreciate it.

Thoroughly enjoyed!
Great book. It's fast-paced with an interesting plot. This is the 6th book in the Raja Williams series. I've read all the books in the series with each book getting better and having you look forward to the next one. In my opinion this one is the best so far.

Another awesome story
I have enjoyed reading this series because the characters come alive as they solve problems. In Vendetta in Venice not only was the story line good but the history about the inquisition/inquisitor of 1560 was very interesting as well. Not being a Catholic, I find the churches history interesting. I am looking forward to book 7.

A historic church altar now stain with the priest blood, the killer’s act was cold and precise. Inspector Morelli’s now to figure it out, and the body is to be turned over to the Vatican at once., by Chief orders. Morning paper the scene was on front page, and the chief is wanting his report. Of. which inspector is not ready to close the case, and the chief demanding it to be.
The young man voice sounded innocent, no recall of even being in that part of town, was he a psychopath. Morelia’s wanting answers, protestors outside , and Chief only gave him till five o’clock. Interesting history of Venice and the churches, good mystery.

I love Raja and Ginny
Another fun adventure with the duo, set in Venice. If Jack could write faster, I would happily read his books once per month.
