I am excited to say that “Annihilate Them”, the newest book in the Annihilate Me series, is a stand-alone novel without a cliffhanger. That being said, reading all of her previous books will make this read a much richer experience, with some details, that will only enhance your experience, if you had read the previous books. Personally, I am very glad I have read all of her books as they are all wonderful, they never disappoint and they make you feel as if you were there to witness the events. Her characters are that well fleshed out, that you feel as if you know them. They also leave you excited to read the next book that she writes, no matter who the main character is.
This is a story of revenge. Stephen Rowe, a character you met in the Annihilate Him series, is back to destroy 6 people, 6 people who destroyed him first, two of whom are Jennifer and Alex Wenn. OK, your thinking I just gave it all away, but truly the excitement of this story is not what I just told you, but how Stephen wants his revenge enacted and how it all goes very right or very wrong, depending on whose prospective you view it all from.
Don’t think your only going to hear of revenge, or Alex and Jennifer. In fact many of your favorite characters, Blackwell (a personal favorite of mine), Tank and Lisa, Cutter and especially Epifania, are all included, and each of their storylines are a part of this book. Epifania will surprise you when you least expect it this time around I’m betting. Of course there are new characters introduced, you hope you will see in future books.
There are the hints or clues, as to future happenings, that Christina can write about next or you can take what tidbits she provides and try and imagine how it might happen in the yet to be written books. I know I was excited by some of what happened and I can only imagine how some of what we read may be leading to new books in the future. I know when I try, I never get it as exciting as she does. She never disappoints, only excites and provides us with a world we can only dream about.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
