The conclusion to the Empty Bodies post-apocalyptic horror series.
Overview: Inching ever closer to Gabriel’s home in Alexandria, VA, the group is forced to rest and recover with the doctor, Timothy, and his community of survivors. Holly has been shot, and Gabriel and Jessica are working through their trauma from being imprisoned at the school.
Amidst the stress, Will begins making decisions that threaten to tear the group apart.
Can he hold it together and get them to Alexandria and, ultimately, to safety?
Revelation is the final book in the Empty Bodies Series.
Zach Bohannon is a horror and science fiction author. His books include the Amazon #1 bestsellers, Dead South, and Empty Bodies. He loves heavy metal, video games, hockey, reading, and he doesn’t trust a beer he can see through. He’s a retired drummer, and has had a beard since 2003—long before it was cool. He lives in Tennessee.
Readers of the Empty Bodies series won't be disappointed with this final installment. With the depth of character and plotting that readers have grown to expect, and with more twists than might have been expected, this is a phenomenal finish to the series that will leave readers disappointed to say goodbye to the characters, even as they're satisfied with the series' finish.
Decent ending I guess. Not the most satisfying and still leaves the fate of the world in the balance. Perhaps none of this matters since it's all post-rapture.
Think that's it for me and zombie books for a while. Too many human evil and human suffering.
I could not put these books down. Aside from a few editing errors (don’t judge me. I am a retired English teacher🙂). Really loved the characters (especially Will (also my son’s name). Wish there could have been a book seven where Will decided to live, maybe that since the demon has been expelled, it could not re-enter his body and he would go on to find his family in Florida.....
I loved getting to know the characters and putting the book down a couple of times. It wasn’t the writing; it was what was happening to the characters that I loved. I hated to watch them suffer and loved how they managed to pull themselves out of trouble. It was a great read.
Reaching the end did nothing to stop the tears. It's a kind of heartbreak, for characters on a page. It's a testament to the ability of a writer, the author of Revelation. Thank you for this entire adventure Mr Bohannon.
There were a few places throughout the series I would give a quizzical look and say “Come on, really”. Other than those few times. I did enjoy the series.
I have the box set so will just say that the conclusion to the series was well done. It had plenty of action alongside a complicated range of emotions and dilemmas.
If you like "The Walking Dead" then you will love these books!
I wanted to wait until the last book to post my review. I bought the first three while they were on sale and read them in a day and of course had to buy and read the next three. I finished those the very next day. Very gripping and easy flowing, I had no trouble following through until the end of the series. I fell in love with the characters and rooted with them throughout. You will too!
Like any great series you never want it to end, but then it does and you wonder about the rest of the characters lives. I guess I will just have to assume it all worked out great
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and look forward to more from the author. He has a different premise for the origin of the zombies, and I liked the main group of characters. Worth a read :)
Excellent series. Characters that are well detailed and that you come to root for to survive. Could not wait for the next episode when I finished each book.
