Fireman or Firebug?

“Fireman or Firebug?” is a fictional short story based on a real problem—the cash crisis in Detroit and some of its unintended consequences. Naturally, the city’s overall finances have to be considered with any major decision, but at what point are decisions based on ignorance? And, at what point do the affected people have to take matters into their own hands?
This story poses a hypothetical solution to a real problem by one affected family. Remember, it’s totally fiction, but it ‘could’ have happened.
