This is one of the best books that I have read on the subject of stress, calm and building a balanced lifestyle. It made me question things I do and think about and had a good balance of theory and advice. I definitely need to re-read to gain more from it but I take it as a good thing that I actually want to do this!
I have read and browsed through a lot of books and material on how to deal with my anxiety. Many focus on lists to figure out the problem and usually suggest meditation and breathing exercises. This is the first time I found one that really connected with me. It is written in a normal language (not academic) and is a quick read. It gave me real tools to identify and deal with situations without endless “diaries” and lists. I found it helpful to read a section, take a break to think about what they said before continuing.
Everyone dealing with these issues will find need to find information that meets their needs. But I encourage you to take a look at this book to get a different approach than many other options on the bookshelf.
Will read again. Really interesting book. Well written and broken up by lots of helpful questions and quizzes. Something to work through over a period of time. I learnt a lot about myself, but I've also been able to apply the information to others.
