The Blue Alien's Mate

Rate this book

Are they meant to be mated?

Urie is a leader and general of the Ura-Than race. He has no time to find a mate, to create an heir to replace him as leader one day...

Urie gets his friend Reli of the Celestial Mates agency to find him a mate. The only thing is that Reli’s agency uses some methods that probably would not be accepted in certain cultures, such as bidding...

Samantha was the one he lusted. She was just a human, but the most beautiful one he had ever seen. He needed to get her. At any cost! Urie knew he had to outbid the rest to get her!

Getting adjusted to her new life is hard for Samantha. Urie has to keep on planning how to defend his own people against the enemy, X. And he soon learns of a possible traitor, amongst his own, may even go all the way to the top of his most trusted generals and captains!

What will happen between these two mates? Is their fate sealed? Or will one of their needs have to give if push comes to shove?

The Blue Alien’s Mate is part of the Celestial Mates series and is a standalone, full-length science fiction romance novel. There are NO cliffhangers, NO cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending!

Samantha is a fighter, unlike the women of Urie's planet, who are docile. It's what draws him to her and he just has to have her. The story does move pretty fast, but I did enjoy reading it. I'm enjoying the Celestial Mates series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Horrible

Thank goodness the book was free. It was the worst one I've read in quite some time. This author doesn't come close to the standard of Ruby Dixon!

It was good but not what I was expecting. I guess I was looking for a combination of two different books series that I have been reading (Interstellar Brides and Ice Planet Barbarians). Don't get me wrong, it had its moments but not at the level of those two series.

We have Urie, a young prince, that his counsel want him to get a bride and an heir. And then we have Samantha, a human, that was just minding her own business when she was abducted. And I don't me like, asleep but more like a mugging and kidnap. The prince sees her at an auction and decides that he will take her. But he also thinks he is hotness. That Sam should be begging him to take her to bed. NOPE! Sam is a fighter and see him as an evil like the ones that kidnapped her. It takes a bit of warming up to each other but they do. And then we have a group that wants nothing more to start a war with the prince and then danger rises.

So as I said, it wasn't bad. It was a good book. Just a bit slow in some parts.

I'm trying to make my way through the Celestial Mates books and unfortunately, this book was not a hit.

This is really more the plot points shoved together to try and make a story. There is no character development, no explanation of how the characters got to point A to point B. It just happens. You're literally just told it happens and how the characters feel about it is not explained. It had all the developments I've come to expect with this type of romance action wise, but I had no reason to be invested in the characters.

I skimmed through the ending to finish, but unfortunately my interest was gone. I'm really disappointed because Zenia has numerous series that I've been wanting to try. I'll have to give another one a shot to see if it's any different/better.

So there were things I loved about this and things I didn't. I liked the story line and writing style but the story itself felt rushed. It skipped almost an entire year at one point. It lacked the depth I enjoy. The characters were interesting but not fully developed. Samantha is the most perfect example of Stockholm syndrome i the world and i expected the opposite considering her personality. I liked how Urie evolved in opinions overtime but it felt like he thought one thing one moment and all of a sudden switched sides without enough in the middle to explain it. As i said there was good and bad. More detail would have made this a surefire winner.

The worst narration I have suffered through!

I quite literally was cringing at the narration and I found it made a half baked plot a true misery. I sucked it up and tried to simply make it to the end but even reading this story proved to be a lesson in finding my patience because I was blown away by all the fillers in this mess of a story! Wow Zara, did someone ghost write this? I have always enjoyed your stories, but I suppose everyone of them can't be perfection but I am disappointed. I will move on to the next and cross my fingers.

This was a short read for me but very good. Urie is a general of the Ura-Than race and needs a mate to create an heir. He has no time so uses his friend Reli of the Celestial Mates Agency to find him one and Reli uses some rather interesting methods to get her people. Reli kidnaps Samantha from Earth and when Urie sees her he lusts after her right away. Samantha really doesn't like any of this at all..good plot, and kept me guessing as to weather or not these two would ever get together. Recommend.

Samantha and Urie’s start to happy life together might have start with her kidnaping from earth and sold at auction as sex slave to him but it soon became more to them both when Samantha became pregnant with his heir but not everyone is happy with a half breed being the heir to the throne and so beings the struggle that Urie must face to save the lives of his wife and child. Great story and so on to the next book in the series.

Great book. Urie is a king, but even more he’s a fighter. In battle no one can seem to stop him. For the first time the X’Sorians had lost a battle. They were counting on the psionic attacks to win the battle for them, but Urie alone was unaffected by it. Single handedly he took them all out. Samantha, a human is feisty too. She was kidnapped from Earth to be sold as a slave. And believe me, she had a lot to say about that! Will Urie tame her, or will she tame Urie?

Rating 2.5 🎖The book had a good storyline overall however somethings didn't seem to match up for me. Like, the MC wasn't home sick after being kidnapped. There were aspects that I did enjoy like the fight scene between Samantha and the asassin. She actually fought back instead of being helpless. There were a few other inconsistencies I couldn't get pass.

Like blue aliens?

If you do, start with this book in this new series. As is in most cases it starts with an abduction of a human. Don't most stories do? This book is better in that the lead female is strong and does not weep and whine. Can't stand that in a book. You will enjoy the story and look forward to the rest of the series.

Disappointed

I couldn't get past page 87, while I'm glad it wasn't rape, the set up made it seem as though they were both going to try something differ- get to know each other. Maybe he would win her over, maybe she would show what she fights for. I just couldn't get into, or buy, what actually happens. I'm sure others might like this, however.

I chose to read and review this book. I like this genre of books and this one was great. Everything was well written, the plot and the characters. I liked the main character, how they meet and interact with each other. It is great that she is such a fiercely strong woman and surprises him a lot. It is full of sparks, steam and action. I recommend it.

Great love story between alien leader Urie and his captive human Samantha. Samantha was kidnapped on Earth and taken to the planet Ura-Than where she is bought by Urie. Although she initially fights the attraction, they fall in love. But a traitor is in their midst who is against the inferior human. Planetary battles ensue and they must fight for their live as well. Good story and quick read!

Celestial mates

I have read a lot of celestial mates books by different authors I'm in love with the concept. Most of the books I've read have gotten 5 star ratings, I'm finding Zara Denies books on the subject less than stellar! I already bought her three books but I won't but more.

I enjoyed this book. There are quite a few social issues addressed that I found very interesting. It seems prejudice is not just an earth problem. This book is definitely for 18+ readers if for the birthing scene alone!

Reli, the owner of Celestial Mates, kidnaps Samantha while she's out jogging late at night. Urie, the ruler, happens by the slave auction and sees Samantha and buys her. Do they become mates? What happens?

Human Slave

Samantha was full of spit and vinegar. Urie bought himself a spitfire. They fell in love with each other, besides the opposing concerns. I recommend this book as the continuing trend of Zara's blue people. Of course, it is for adults. Happy reading!

In this book Samantha is just doing her own thing and the next thing she knows she's not on Earth anymore... This book kept me entertained for the night. A sci fi alien romance of sorts. I like this author writing style. And yes another author on my added to my list.

Meh

Overall story was fine but the "instant" change in Samantha was too much. The vocabulary and actions were too human like and not within the realm of the aliens, almost juvenile. Could have been a great story with more time put in.
