The plot sounded good.. the execution however...
Daelan finds a human mate. His pack doesn't like humans. Daelan and mate vs pack people is the story.
TBH, I was a little bored with all the pack drama. I wanted more of the main couple scenes, and I felt Daelan was more beta than alpha.

Great read .
This is the first time I've read anything from this author and I'm very impressed, I will definitely be watching for more great books . The story line was good, and I really enjoyed the characters. I would love to see More about the big bad wolf that helped Haley. My only complaint is it was to short, and I finished way to fast. Lol

Haley found herself stuck on the snowy mountain road, spinning her wheels uselessly. Yeah. All because of one sleazy, manipulative, conniving jerk of a man. Romance could blossom online, she wasn’t foolish for taking a chance. But maybe she should have seen reality instead of happy stars when she began to realize just how much Rod had lied to her. And encouraged her to spend her savings on an upgrade to his trailer… on his property… without her name on the deed, title, or anything. And once he got the life insurance check from his deceased mother, who she by the way had taken care of – he kicked her to the curb. No money, no property and nowhere to turn except for this small hospital at the bottom of the snow covered mountain… without snow-chains to get back up to the drafty, cold cabin. Yeah. Life was great.
Daelan had been watching the woman who had moved into the old cabin on the former property of the pack. He couldn’t say really why he watched her, just that it was as natural a breathing. She still hadn’t put chains on her tires, and now she was good and completely stuck. He watched her get out of the car and then fall. He quickly made a decision that would change his and her life forever. Shortly after Daelan speed up the mountain, well as much as he could for conditions and ran to the woman. As he bundled her up in a blanket and lifted her to carry back to his truck he knew… his mate. Of all times, of all females in the world fate gives him a human for a mate. Well, he’d deal with that once he kept her alive. He’d figure out what to do about the pack later.
A Pack Divided is such an intriguing story. Each author gives their world its own unique lore and in this world humans never mate with wolf shifters. Nope, not gonna happen according to the elders. Daelan might be Alpha, but even he is governed by the elders decisions. His desperate attempt to save Haley from the decisions of his pack, betrayal from within his inner circle and the emotional toll that their separation takes on each of them is the core of this story. I found the workings of this pack fascinating. And I’m sure, as the series continues, we will see more rules broken and more walls torn down as Daelan forges his own destiny as their leader.
I enjoyed Haley and Daelan’s story very much. I’m definitely looking forward to following this series. If you enjoy a complex story, then I think you’d enjoy this one as well.

I voluntarily reviewed this advanced readers copy....... And this book was absolutely riveting. I love being able to read the first book of a series so I can get familiar with the characters who may pop up in another book of the series. From this story I'm really hoping that Ruelle gets to find his mate. I love the part where Haley comforted him in his time of need (as a wolf). Daelan's pack has a lot of history and they are pretty brutal when it comes to humans so when Daelan mates with Haley, he knows there's going to be big problems with his pack. The characters were very captivating and the writing was so vivid that I felt I was truly involved with the story, or pulled into it. :) Haley was a strong woman and I love how she accepted Daelan after seeing him turn from wolf to human. The ending was beautiful (though I was truly worried there for a while) and I can't wait to read about Lowell and Kara. This is unquestionably a very exciting series. I loved it. :)

Ok I'm starting this series
Stranded in a blizzard with a hot sexy man!! Haley isn't sure if she is safe or if this sexy guy is a deranged murderer. Before long Haley will realize her life has just drastically changed. Good book I didn't put down but one time.

Divided by Fate
I had hoped they wouldn't catch Ruelle as he save the alpha's mate. Turning her was the only option. I really enjoyed this book.

Haley is a nurse who has taken a job in the Cascades while she is living in a cabin that was up in the mountains and she had to drive up and down everyday to work she told everyone that she had seen a wolf and showed them pictures she never thought for one minute that the wolf was a shifter named Daelan and that he would save her when she was stuck in the snow and ice on the way home and a big storm was coming in, she got out of her car thinking she would walk home but Dealan had been watching her thinking that she was just a woman that he could spend some time with in the cabin so when he sees that she is stuck he races to the Den and comes back with the truck she hurts he knee when she slips on the ice and he picks her up puts her in his truck and takes her to her cabin and then he stays with her and cooks for her when they get up the next morning Daelan has to dig his way out she on the other hand is trying to relieve herself of wanting this handsome sexy man and gets caught up in the shower thinking about him and gets tangled in the shower curtain where she cannot get out and Daelan has to come in and rescue her they seem to come together and Daelan realizes that she is much more than just fun and games she is his forever. He knows he needs to go and let the pack know where he is before they come looking for him since he is the Alpha and meets up with some of his friends and they realize something is different about him he sends them back to the village and returns to his woman but he has been gone to long and Haley goes to look for him and she is shocked at what she sees when he is walking back to the cabin. This is a romantic suspense. I provided an honest review of the ARC of this ebook.

I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy and enjoyed it very much. Haley has been betrayed by the jerk male she has been involved with and so she leaves Tacoma and moves to the Cascades. Originally from California, she has no idea about driving in snow and slides off the road into a ditch and snowbank. Daelan, a wolf=shifter and alpha of his pack, rescues her because he has been running around near the cabin she is living in while in his wolf form and has recognized her as his mate. But his pack is a very old one and has a bunch of Elders who are over 1,000 years old and believe that humans are dangerous and cannot be mates and should be killed. His friend Rek imprisons Daelan and sends some other pack members to get Haley and bring her to the Den. She escapes and the vicious Elders chase after her in their wolf forms to kill her. Ruelle asks her if she loves Daelan and is willing to join the pack and she nods her head yes thinking it is too late to worry about as the wolves are nearly upon them. So Ruelle changes and bites her shoulder and then stands over her. Daelan comes upon the scene and thinks that Ruelle has killed her. He and the pack members true to him battle with the Elders and some are killed. Six weeks later, Haley wakes up and has been turned into a wolf-shifter. Daelan then orders that all mates are to be accepted into the pack, whether human or not, and that no one can try to injure or kill a mate and if any don't like these orders, they can leave the pack. Some leave and now Daelan and Haley and their pack mates have to try to build up the pack strength again. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This book is an excellent start to a new series by Claire Ryann. You meet Haley who is now living in a remote country town after being ditched by her fiancee after he inherits his mothers estate in which Haley had already put her hard earned money into. Haley is a nurse and now works at the local hospital. She has not been there long and has no idea what to do in a snow storm and did not stop to put the chains on her tires before the weather turned brutal. She is rescued by Daelan an alpha wolf of a very old pack. He thinks his attraction to Haley is just a fleeting a event. After one night he is now positive she is his true mate. But he has a big problem Haley is human and no wolf has taken a human mate for centuries in their recorded history, certainly not an Alpha. He has to leave Haley to go back to address the Council of Elders, but things do not go according to plan. Haley is in danger and he has been imprisoned by his pack. He will need a lot of help to overcome what some of his dishonorable pack want to do to a human mate. Thank you to Claire Ryann for the wonderful review copy. Loved it. Looking forward to the next boo, hope the story will about Rek Daelan's second in command.

Exciting, sexy fated mate story!! 4.5 stars
We meet Haley as she is driving back to her remote cabin from the hospital. Looking at the map they were only 6 miles apart. Reality was the roads between them were 24 miles of rather treacherous travel – and that was BEFORE it started to snow. Having left all she knew to be near her boyfriend – and then be unceremoniously dumped – she could not afford to be choosey.
Daelan, alpha of the pack has gotten into the habit of going by the cabin to check on Haley. So he hears the struggle of her car, and it getting stuck on her way home that night. He runs home in wolf form to grab his truck and rescue her in human form. They both get snowed in in the blizzard that follows.
Daelan knows she is his mate. Even though he is alpha – no one from the pack has mated a human in the last few centuries. This may create an issue within the pack. An exciting and sexy read!!

Book one in the Cascade Storms series and was very good. Haley leaves Tacoma and moves to the Cascades because of her ex- boyfriend she wants nothing more to do with him ,she has never driven in snow so she slides off the road into a snow bank . Daelan, a wolf shifter and alpha of his pack, rescues her and when he does realizes that even though she is human she is his mate his pack is a very old one and the Elders are over 1,000 years old and believe that humans are dangerous and cannot be mates and should be killed. His friend Rek imprisons him and tell the pack to bring Haley to the pack but after she escapes Ruelle bites her once she confesses her love for Daelan.Daelan thinks she is dead ! He decides to challenge and fight the Elders with some of his trusted friends and after they win he starts making changes to the packs Laws. It takes Haley six weeks to wake up from the bite but she is now a wolf shifter. A very moving story. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This was a very exciting and enjoyable read. The storyline is packed with action, intrigue, and romance. I loved Daelan and Haley who were both sweet and strong characters, and who shared an intense chemistry. A very interesting and entertaining read. Loved it!

He has found his mate but her being a human is a real issue for the pack. He will have to fight hard to keep her safe.
This is a great read. I enjoyed the characters. Daelan is determined to be with his mate and keep her safe from others who don't want a human in their clan. Haley has not had an easy time of it but is very much a fighter when she needs to be. They have great chemistry.

The wolf pack is great and awesome story they go through a lot and the main alpha wolf and they have one that don't want the alpha to be the one at the top and above all he picks a human for his mate so his mate is running from the wolf's and he has to stop them or else this is a great book loved it from the first to the last Michelle

I loved the story of the young alpha Daelan (only like 230 years old) and his new mate Haley (a human). He knew he liked her but until he touched her he didn't know she was his mate. No one (he thinks) knows of a wolf taking a human mate and some of the elders of the pack are over a thousand years old. Will they except her? Will they fight him? Will they kill her? This is the exciting story of Haley and Daelan mating.

Another Shifter book. I really like this genre
Good story line with lots of action. Always learning something new in shifter abilities although it may change with different authors.
