An alien spaceship crash, an unknown evil passenger, and an Elohim teacher of The Way —the Earth we know will never be the same. Julius Caesar on the Druids, Gallic War, Chapter 14: “The cardinal doctrine which they seek to teach is that souls do not die, but after death pass from one to another; and this belief, as the fear of death is thereby cast aside, they hold to be the greatest incentive to valor. Besides this, they have many discussions as touching the stars and their movement, the size of the universe and of the earth, the order of nature, the strength and the powers of the immortal gods…” 1000 B.C.E. -- A spaceship crash-lands in Parallel Earth Reality-Eight. Only three of the druid crew members from the planet Arcsis survive the tragedy. Unbeknownst to the crew, an alien being with evil on its mind has hitched a ride. In PER (Parallel Earth Reality)-Three, Eloah, like Buddha before him, is an Elohim teacher of The Way, preparing for a mission among the Atrebate tribe in PER-Eight. The druid crash creates an emergency and an opportunity to start his mission sooner than planned. The alien entity finds a habitable human fetus in ancient Egypt, and here it will grow... and wait to wreak havoc on the human population of PER-Eight. EVOLVED PUBLISHING PRESENTS a short story prequel to the multiple award-winning “Eloah” series of religious/sci-fi/conspiracy thrillers, where you’ll discover that Earth is not what you think it is. So first off, I’m not much of a science fiction buff, so I admittedly skimmed a little of the techno stuff and won’t let that affect my rating. It was well written but out of my scope. I read this before starting the trilogy. I feel it will have a much deeper impact after I have gone through the other three books, but even without that experience, I am drawn in by the unique and interesting concept. I look forward to finding out if the entity is what I think it is. I’m also eager to learn more about Eloah and how these Druids shaped, or helped shape, our world. Oh yeah, and who doesn’t love a quick visit in the tent of Julius Caesar!!? I’m already 1/5 through No Heaven and I normally don’t enjoy reading outside of history and mythology. My attention is definitely piqued.
Wow! I bought this short story to get a taster & it was so good I bought the complete trilogy. What an exciting theme & concept, I absolutely loved it. Lex Allen has a superb writing style & this will leave you wanting more ... it certainly did me. I've nearly finished book 1 of the trilogy now & it's been hard putting it down.
Eloah: The Druids by Lex Allen is a short story leading into his awesome trilogy, Eloah: No Heaven, Eloah: No Hell and Eloah: No Religion. Full confession: I somehow missed this little gem and only discovered it after I'd already read the series, but no matter. Even though it was meant as an introduction to the multiverse and the Elohim, the story lost none of its impact by my knowing what was to follow. In fact, like the very best of prequels, Eloah: The Druids was not only a fun and exciting read all on its own, but it reminded me of just why I loved the series so much.
The story starts off with a bang when an alien ship crash-lands in ancient Britain, circa 1000BCE. Three crew members have survived the crash, a creature known only as 'the entity' has followed them down for some unknown purpose, and Eloah is sent quantum-leaping across parallel dimensions to begin his Mission. And the rest is history. Literally. The rest of the story is our history. Or at least, it might be. Confused yet? Well, don't be. In Lex Allen's capable hands, it all makes perfect sense. By filling in a few gaps in the history books in his own way, Allen effectively rewrites what we've always been told and opens our minds to some fairly game-changing possibilities. And it all begins here, in Eloah: The Druids, a fun and interesting story in and of itself, a great introduction to the Eloah series, and an even better introduction to its author, Lex Allen. It takes a rare talent to weave a tale all the way through the multiverse and have it hit close to home, but Allen does it, and he does it to perfection. A unique and well-rounded cast of characters brings this story to life, and a crisp pace to the action sets the tone for what's to come. And no spoilers here, but if you think you know what's coming, you might have rethink everything you think you know.
Lex Allen creates different humanoids in a different solar system. The plot isn't original, but he adds interest by featuring Britain's ancient people. This a good start for a series.
What if?? Don't you wish you knew? Through the centuries everything has been written in multiple languages and translated, some "people" have made the executive decision to cut out entire books of the Bible, especially those concerning women. It's always good to get a fresh perspective.
Short story, yet, great. You get involved in the plot of 300 plus people in space for 65 years. Then, something decides to mess with the ship so it crashes. You have to read the book to find out what happens.
