The Blood Moon's coming, along with the deadline for Dante to find his fated mate. But he has no intention of going along with the creator Allendra's plan to pair him off. And he knows he's not the only one to object.
He'll need help, and power. Ria Warren's got the power... if she can pull her head out of a bottle long enough to lend it to him. Ria's largely untrained, her powers of divination overwhelming her ability to cope. No one will miss her, when he takes her hostage.
The road hunting Allendra is long, and he's gonna drag Ria along kicking and screaming. If only he could make himself stop wishing she'd scream for him a different way instead.
Lone Wolf is a novella intended for mature readers. It contains dark themes, and explicit content.
Dante and little wing. What a crazy couple. These two have been through so much heartache in their lives, that it's going to take a lot for them to get past it all. Especially when Dante does not want to let Allendra tell him who he should have for a life mate. This book is crazy but good. MJ gives it Five stars.
Dante is part of a race of beings controlled by Alendera. She picks their mates and has far to much power or so it seems. Dante wants no part of it, her picking his mate or even having a mate. When he see Ria in a bar he thinks she has power he can use to win against Alendra. While he is her kidnapper he is also falling for her and that's can't happen in his mind so he s a complete jerk to her and really abusive. Ria has spent almost her whole life seeing things. Past, present, future or perhaps not even real she is not sure anymore. When Dante takes her, she learns her gifts are real and she does have power. Not sure what Ria sees in Dante he is rough, a complete jerk and abusive. Most of the story is him being abusive. After he almost loses her he changes some. At least enough to keep her around. It does have action and lot's of drama. The characters are intense and interesting. If you like the bad boy stories then you should enjoy this one. It didn't sit right for me. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and this is an honest opinion.
This book is way too abusive. I couldn't even finish it. If you're into people smacking women around then this book is for you. I am not interested in that carp.
Dante is much darker than I expected but I warmed up to him. The story pulls together well for the most part but there are still things I wish had been explored more like Ria shifting. It's mentioned but not fully engaged. I also wanted more on the past and the fire. But it was an entertaining read... darkly twisted in some ways but the author wrote well and provided an escape into a new world for me with some serious sexy inside. The interaction between Dante and Ria is intense most of the time which shows a quality to the writing by keeping me at the edge hoping they resolve somewhere and bring that relationship closer to a more stable ground. I tend to focus mostly on characters while reading and was pleasantly surprised they came off well rounded during the story.
