On a journey that brought young Maxine Kirk to Drew McKenzie as a novice submissive, the two lovers explored their most salacious fantasies together. BOUND, the fourth book in the "Manhattan Bound" Series by Amazon bestselling author Juliet Braddock, explores how life, love and lust have flourished between these two unlikely lovers over time. Through dungeons and castles in the most glamorous cities around the world, Drew, a rising star on Broadway, brought publicist Maxine's wanton desires to life, indulging her every need with a lavish but honest display of his affection. And in the course of their relationship, they found a love that could not be shattered. While they placed their faith in each other, the lives of their friends and families converged. Often, their sexual shenanigans took a backseat to the lives of those most near and dear to them. Their separate worlds became one. Five years later, changes have come to their lives, and Drew and Maxine find themselves facing a life-altering decision that will impact their ordered world in ways they'd never imagined. And while their wanderlust and pursuit of kinky pleasures never wane, they discover together that the happiest place on earth really is right in their own chaotic home.
Award-winning author Juliet Braddock loves eighties music, wine, food, theater and all things French.
Juliet was honored with the National Indie Excellence Award for Best Erotica two years in a row for BLINDSIDED and SMITTEN.
When she’s not exploring the big cities of the world—most notably Paris—she lives and writes in Brooklyn and is the proud cat mom to a very spoiled Russian Blue rescue.
Juliet is legally blind and is active in the blind and low vision community. She’s also a lifelong Duran Duran fan.
I started this with a little bit of trepidation as to what else Juliet Braddock could bring to Maxine and Drew's story as it seemed complete. I needn't have worried. She once again blew me away with her superb writing skills and the wonderful Maxine and Drew. Yes, there is still plenty of heat and the eroticism that this couple bring in the bedroom and there is also the sweetness and total respect they show each other outside, working through things together. They are so attuned to each other.
This is the next stage in their journey of making their family complete, whilst still enjoying their time together as Dom and Sub. This was a book full of joy and love. I am sad to see this amazing series draw to a close but I plan on going back to the start and discovering it all again. I thank you, Juliet Braddock for bringing us Maxine and Drew and their incredible journey together.
Bound by Juliet Braddock was a steamy 5 star read.
Bound jumps ahead 4 years to Maxine and Drew in a hotel room doing a scene, to which Maxine is bound to a chair and eventually punished with a belt. They are there to stand up for their best friend's Ben & Jeffrey at their wedding. “My best friend's husband beats her, and I think it’s just dandy!” Ben muttered to himself. “Jesus...where’s my head?”
At the wedding reception Max realizes she is ready for a family. How will Drew feel about this? How will having a baby affect their play time?
Things heat up from here. This was a great read, I enjoyed reading about these two moving forward with their lives. I also enjoyed seeing the rest of the secondary characters, they all added a great element to the story. This is a great series to get your hands on if you like BDSM with a side of romance. 1-click and get started today.
***4.5 You say Bitch Like it's a Bad Thing Stars!*** (Rounded up to 5)
So, I'm going to review all four books in this series at once, Weakened, Wrapped, Knotted, and Bound. I read all four books in a matter of just a few combined days, and I was entranced from start to finish, unable to put them down. I read on my lunch breaks, my smoke breaks, and stayed up longer than I should have to keep reading Max and Drew's story.
I'm gonna start with Maxine and Drew and make my way through what I loved! Maxine, for me, (especially in book 1) was incredibly immature, and if I was being honest, she grated my nerves a bit. As a brat myself, I know her attitude well, and I've been known to whine a bit in my time, but Maxine took it a bit far for me at times. BUT, overall, I could feel her. I knew what she was thinking, how she was feeling, and could experience her training with her. Juliet's writing is descriptive and you FEEL like you're in the story with the characters. Maxine, grew through each book and by the end of Knotted, I found a respect for her I hadn't previously had. She grew on me, and I'm now totally smitten.
Oh Drew! I loved you, and then I kinda hated you, and then I loved you all over again. Fierce and powerful, rough and tumbly, soft and teddybear esque. I loved his sneaky ways of training *cough cough* Ordering condoms from the local deli for delivery *cough cough* , and I loved his softer side with Maxine. Although, she was new, you handled her well, and showed her the ropes with dignity and grace. I felt for him so hard when he had to deal with the bitch I refuse to name who did horrible things to an unsuspecting child. I wanted to wrap him in a hug and hold him forever. Luckily Maxine covered that for me. Drew was my 2nd favorite character in the entire series, and I would give anything to see him on Broadway!
Now...let me tell you about my favorite characters in this entire series! Uncle Benjy and Jeff....God, love me, some gay men! This book would have fallen completley flat for me if Ben hadn't been in the picture. He was Max's light, her brother and her best friend, and then he was Uncle Benjy. I can't say enough good things about him, and then when he found Jeff, I was complete. Their relationship (although I NEEDED MORE) was beautiful. When I first met Ben, he was a total philanderer, but once he shacked up with Jeff, he grew, and matured (only as much as Max would let him) I can't tell you what he said, because I don't want to give anything away, but just his comments about Maxine's bed sheets after losing her big V card was enough to make me shoot milk out of my nose.
I loved most of the supporting characters, most especially Papa Kirk, Jillian, Mandy, Lou, and although we never technically met her, Judy. They made this book complete, and made the series exactly what it was meant to be. A life of joy, love, laughter and tears. I felt like I lived with them all, and laughed with them. I cried for the characters and I loved with them. The entire concept was beautifully executed, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly jealous of little one.
***4 Can't See Straight Orgasm Stars***
Before I go...lemme tell you.... I want a Drew.... for sexy time. I want everything he has to offer, and everything he gave Maxine. Every fucking tickle, every fucking flogger, every fucking whip. I don't think I've ever wanted a fictional Dom so much in my life.... The sex in this book was ORGASM INDUCING! Just ask Maxine ;)
As you can tell, I would highly recommend the entire series to anyone interested in a loving BDSM story, full to the brim with happiness and light (and a little dark)! You wont' regret it. Truly!

Unselfish, true love, best friends, family, strength.... that is what this is about... I cried while reading and I also laugh out loud. There are some characters that kept me laughing but in all in all it about the bond they have
Oh my heavens. Where can I start with this finale of the Manhattan Bound series? I have loved each book in this series and fallen madly in love with the characters. This exquisitely written book is truly one of the most well written books I've had the pleasure of reading. Bound continues the ever evolving relationship with Maxine and Drew MacKenzie. Funny, serious and oh so sexy scenes throughout this book ensures to keep you bound to the pages. Juliet makes sure to give you insight to each character in her series from the last books before you bid them farewell. One of my personal favorite characters being the ever crazy and hilarious, Aunt Frannie. Highly recommend this series. This book is not a standalone. It follows the others in this series, Weakened, Wrapped & Knotted. 5/5 big stars.
I had never read a BDSM book before so when my friend recommended Juliet Braddock's books to me I didn't know what to expect. Me thinking that the dungeons you see on CSI and NCIS are the standard of practice for those who like BDSM. I was totally wrong. Bound by Juliet Braddock changed my mind about BDSM books forever. While BDSM paints a picture of a dark red room full of black clad leather bodies Juliet's book shows a lighter side, a side where it also includes love and playfulness. I read the scenes and I was like whoa was I ever wrong, the tenderness that Drew showed Maxine (my favorite sassy character) showed for each other in their play and in their lives outside of their dungeon were amazing. Drew who's an actor has this heart of gold that you instantly fall in love with. He is so attentive to Maxine's every whim in the bedroom...except for when she's pregnant then she doesn't always get her way. His gifts for her are so well thought out and he needs to give boyfriend / husband lessons to every man in the world because when they made Drew they broke the mold! I think my favorite scene in the whole book and there were many I absolutely loved was Maxine and the funeral but I can't tell you why because it would spoil it. I found myself laughing in so many places at the trouble that Maxine got in. The ending of the book was completely amazing and such a perfect epilogue. Juliet's characters (Ben comes to mind) are so very different and all have incredible depth. Having only read this book I don't know the backstories, however I plan on reading the rest of the series as well. This is such a wonderful read and Ms. Braddock is an amazing writer you smile, laugh, cry and punish right along with the characters all in a good way. You live the story and the world building is really incredible you can really see everything in your head and that's what I look for in a good story. This is an excellent book and I would highly recommend it even if you've never read BDSM books. It's a marvelous steamy read that will leave you begging for more.
Great ending to the series! This whole series has been a whirlwind of family, friendship and… kink. Yes, kink. Maxine and Drew fell in love and the dominant/submissive fantasies they fostered between them came to life in the dungeon they kept as their private haven. That is only just one facet of their relationship, however. They each have family and a circle of friends that are a huge part of their life together. As they went from the uncertainty of new love to the present, their marriage now measured in years, with a vast number of shared experiences between them. I believe this is the last in the series that followed ‘Captain Kirk’ and her beau from the shadows of grief to young, uncertain love and now, to the maturity of a solid relationship. So much angst and drama and not all of it in the past as they face new adversity for themselves as well as those they love. Anger and fear vie with love and loss as Max and Drew have to rely on all their strengths as individuals and a couple to get through what I’m sure won’t be the last challenges they face as husband and wife or friends… I’m so glad I had a ticket on this roller coaster, emotional train!
Having read the previous installments of the Manhattan Bound series, I knew that wherever Juliet Braddock took her characters in this final book, it would be a fun journey. I wasn’t disappointed!
BOUND has our lovers, Drew and Maxine, married five years now and expecting their first child. They’re juggling careers, family and expectant parenthood while trying to find those few moments where they can cut loose and explore their kinky sides. As is always the case, life gets in the way and Drew and Maxine must make hard choices to preserve their marriage, all while dealing with the inevitable family issues that crop up.
It’s full of fun, sex and loads of family drama. Supporting characters are wonderfully written and deserving of their own stories, particularly Maxine’s father, Drew’s brother, and Maxine’s friend Ben. BOUND is the conclusion of the series and while it can be read alone, reading the first three books, WEAKENED, WRAPPED, and KNOTTED before you read BOUND is recommended. There’s just so much story you’ll miss if you don’t.
Love and acceptance finds Maxine and Drew at a moment in their lives where things finally seem to fit properly. Through the drama and tension of their passion, through the excitement of something new, they have finally found what they are is COMPLETE. Facing a new teist they have to come to gether and be even stonger, but their love will put them through. An amazing read that will take you through a passion filled journey into happiness.
The last of the series is an awesome wrap up of the series, Drew and Maxine find their happy ever after. This book best of the series, I enjoyed this one very much, and you will too. The family interactions are well plotted out, the love that Drew and Maxine have for each other is clearly evident. The sex scenes are off the charts.
