Andrea Castellan (born 23 Avril 1967), better known by the pen name Casty, is an Italian comic book writer and artist, mostly recognised for his contribution to the character of Mickey Mouse.
Casty debuted in 1995, working on the Italian humour comic series Cattivik and Lupo Alberto. Since 2003, he has been writing Mickey Mouse comics for the Italian weekly digest Topolino. Starting from 2006, he has also drawn most of his Disney stories.
Casty is regarded by many as the best Mickey Mouse cartoonist of his generation. His work mixes humour, adventure and suspense, along the lines of past Mickey masters Floyd Gottfredson and Romano Scarpa. His stories sometimes contain vintage sci-fi aesthetics and social themes, such as environmentalism.

The longer narratives aren’t terrible, but they’re not particularly compelling, either. The shorter stories and gag pages are groan inducing.

These stories are, for the most part, brought to the U.S. for the first time. The exceptions are short pieces originally published here in the 1930s. As a result, some of the peripheral characters may be unfamiliar to American readers, but the central characters include Mickey Mouse and his friends and relatives.
The title story is of the adventure/mystery style, and is a good story that blends archeology, conspiracies and various other elements. The other stories include a werewolf story of sorts, and some other very odd pieces. Perhaps the strangest is a math puzzle from the 1930s in which the answer doesn't really add up. Maybe numbers added up differently back then...
Overall, this is a fun batch of stories that IDW has gathered and translated from around the world, a good addition to what was already here.
