Never put me in a library without a book! I was sitting in the ship's library waiting to disembark so I browsed the shelves for a book (all of mine were packed). I found this little book and turned straight to the section on the Tudors (my favourite era) and started to read. I got as far as Lady Jane Grey and had to put the book back on the shelf to get ready for disembarkation. Whilst waiting, I logged on to Amazon, found it and ordered it. It arrived the next day so I was able to start reading it from the beginning.

If you love history, you'll love this little book. It starts with the Saxon kings (Egbert - 802-839) and goes all the way through to Elizabeth II. It finishes with a long list of those who are in succession. Great all the way through, the author includes little snippets of extra information that add to the background. I found it fascinating.
