4.5 STARS | I CHOOSE YOU was a SWEET and STEAMY romance that is perfect for GAMERS out there! Two strangers, two game geeks, one destined love. A retelling and twisted romance of the most popular app Pokémon GO within it! Loved it and would recommend!

Super cute romance!
Recent college graduate, Alicia Chambers meets her dream man in the most embarrassing way. He literally catches her mid fall to prevent her from face-planting while out to dinner with her family. She thinks he's gorgeous and hopes to spark a conversation, but he leaves before she has the opportunity to approach him. Luckily, she happens to run into the sexy stranger while out walking with her younger brother. They quickly bond over the latest hot game Monster Go (think Pokémon Go) and computing software design. Soon they're meeting up to play the game together. It doesn't take long for them to develop feelings and start dating in earnest. But will Alicia's prospective job ruin their chance at romance?
What I liked: This story contains two of my favorite tropes - secret billionaire and surprise pregnancy. The hero, Jacob Rigby is super sweet and sexy. The heroine is smart, funny, and creative. The bedroom scenes are HOT. This book features one of the best apology scenes EVER!
I only had one minor critique: There were a few times I felt like I was dropped in the middle of the action. In one scene in particular a dog is mentioned, but I didn't even know the h had a dog. Only ticky little things like that. Nothing major will detract from this cute, quick read.
I'd recommend to contemporary romance lovers who enjoy secret billionaires. This book is included with Amazon Kindle Unlimited membership.

So I got this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. So here goes. I Choose You was like Pokémon Go meets The Hallmark Channel. This was the corniest book I have ever read, but it actually worked. So enter Alicia. I'm not even sure if we got her last name, but anyways, she's this cute nerdy girl that just graduated from University with a computer development degree. Her dream job is to build apps. She's like the female Steve Jobs, or wants to be. But she hits that "having a fancy degree but can't get no job" slump. We've all been there, amirite? So her brother introduces her to this Monster Go game where she meets the man of her dreams who's name is Jacob. Now Jacob was adorable and cute in this nerdy, sweet, dead David from that show Blindspot sort of way. I instantly liked him. They hit it off and have this insta love whirlwind romance which included them meeting and playing the game everyday. But Jacob is keeping this big secret from her which becomes obviously clear by at least Chapter 6. She finally lands her dream job but it's not all it's cracked up to be. She's not really happy. She begins to miss her family and Jacob. So during this romance, Alicia the knucklehead decides to have unprotected sex with him. Yep you see where I'm going here. She ends up pregnant and shit pretty much hits the fan from there. Now when I say this book was like a cheesy Hallmark movie, I'm not kidding you. They have their blow out, she doesn't speak to him for like a couple of days, Jacob does this huge romantic gesture, she forgives him and it all wraps up with birds and flowers and unicorns farting rainbows out of their asses. The End. The beginning of the book was boring. It dragged and it was too wordy, but as you get into the story as it continues, you can't help but enjoy it. It was funny, quirky and the sex scenes were kind of hot. For a nerd, Jacob really knows how to put it down. If you are in the mood for a romantic comedy between two nerds with a Pokemon feel and you're a hopeless romantic, then this is definitely the book for you. If you can get pass the numerous amounts of grammatical errors, you're good. It was a cute, fluff read to kill an hour. Go for it.

Can one book be HOT and SWEET? Yes, it most definitely can! Krista Lakes latest HIT, yes, in my opinion HIT, “I Choose You” is that book.
Alicia just graduated college. She is looking for a job in the field of computer programming, specifically app development. Resume, after resume, rejection after rejection. Taking a break from rejection, she and her brother Tommy go to the park so he can show her how his new game app Monster Go works. When they get there, Tommy’s game freezes up and the same gorgeous guy that saved her the other day at the restaurant, saves the day for Tommy, telling him how to reset his app. “I’m Jacob.” Alicia thanks him again for saving her from falling at the restaurant. Jacob replies, “I would be happy to catch you anytime.” They meet up the next day so Jacob can teach her more about the game. During their time together being the computer nerd she is, she tells Jacob some ways she thinks the app could be better, and he agrees. Later that morning, Jacob asks her out again, and Alicia agrees. This time they go to another park near her house and she shows him one of her favorite spots near the creek. This is where they share their first kiss, and their second, and a killer kiss it was. The relationship starts to grow and then that email comes….. stop! No spoilers. Let me just say things start to move.
I love Ms. Lakes writing. She has a way that makes her books wonderful to read, that takes her readers away from life for a while. Her books have a depth to them that makes the reader care for the characters and want to find out what comes next. What I do not like about her books…. they end. I love Ms. Lakes books so much that I don’t want to leave the world that she creates in them.

Alicia is a Woman who has known what she wanted to do for a Career since she was young, finally at the point with everything almost in the palm of her hands, She meets a Man Jacob and its total attraction on both sides for the both of them. They both start their bonding over a App game called Monster GO and they learn all about each other from day to day. Jacob has dodged all of Alicia's questions about what he does for a living, wanting to find a woman to want him for him and not his money.
What I enjoyed most about I Choose You is watching everything and more that Alicia has worked so hard for come together all at once, but having to choose what she wants more, the perfect job or the perfect boyfriend. Wanting both but not knowing if that will work living in two different towns. Jacob treating Alicia like a Princess and showing her nothing but respect and care at every turn. Both seeing a future with the other but there is a big secret that Alicia doesnt know about Jacob and when she finds out how will she take the news?
This is another Fantastic Krista Lakes book, I absolutely love everything she writes. This book is so fun and with the Gaming of it just sucks you in. This book has a woman who works her booty off to get good grades to get through school and then to get her intern ship to a Company she has wanted to work for most of her life, while with no job her brother gets her to start his favorite game while they are out she will meet once again Jacob and a sweet relationship will start, Jacob finding the woman of his dreams and not wanting to let go or loose her will do anything for her, A love story with a Happy Ending. If you like stories like this, then I Choose You is a must!

I Choose You is a wonderfully sweet and heartwarming romance. I began with her outstanding Kisses Series, and Krista Lakes has always written characters that we can fall in love with. I Choose You is her latest such accomplishment. And for me, it also gave me the enjoyment of a bit of the unknown as well.
From the inception of the story, Ms. Lakes gave us a pretty clear image of who Alicia is, a recent college graduate now embarking on the task of finding employment with the degree she has ascertained. However, throughout the book, Jacob remained somewhat of a mystery which I must admit made for a stimulating story. Although his fascination with Alicia was fairly quickly revealed, as I continued to turn the pages, my mind relentlessly persisted in trying to guess who he really was which was a really fun aspect for me. Also, the mutual attraction that quickly became apparent while they shared their enjoyment of a game app I thought was a fun and unique storyline as well. I loved the passion they shared with each other and how quickly their hearts became intertwined – not only because of their mutual attraction but also because of the fun they shared playing together.
Krista Lakes has been on my must read list of authors for quite some time, and as she continues to write these wonderful stories which make my heart flutter, I will continue to watch with great anticipation for more fantastically romantic stories from her. If you love reading romance, Krista Lakes should definitely be on your list as well.

Fantastic! Heartwarming, Adorable, Romance! Another great fast paced story that will capture your heart as it romances you through this clever and unique story. Well written, with likable and unique characters that are completely relatable and were meant for each other. I loved the story and how they met. They were fun and refreshing with little bites of sweetness and romance that I devoured.
Alicia is finally out of college, searching for that illustrious job of a lifetime, that she has dreamed and studied for in college. As she wait to see if she can land a coveted internship @ ZephTech, she finds that the job market can be more daunting than she expected. But when she goes out to dinner to celebrate her graduation with her family, she finds that one wrong step lands her in the strong arms of a tall gorgeous stranger with an amazing smile, only to miss the opportunity to properly thank him for coming to her rescue when she waits to long. But a few days later when she goes with her brother to learn more about a new game app, fate and a game named Monster Go, brings Alicia and Jacob face to face again. Their chemistry and connection is immediate and after a few dates they find they have much more in common.
But will the job of her dreams lead Alicia away from the man of her dreams before they even get started? You will not want to miss this heartwarming and adorable romance. Loved it! Highly Recommended!

I Choose You is one sexy sweet romance that is filled with angst, passion game play and romance. Alicia is temporarily back home, trying to find a job when she literally falls into Jacob by tripping and he catches her. He ends up meeting her again when she is out and about with her younger brother and they are playing a game on their cell phones. There is this immediate attraction between them, its heady and they can both feel it. Just as they start to act on it, Alicia gets offered the job of a lifetime at the company she wanted, she was afraid what would happen to their new relationship. Will Jacob be up for a distance relationship? She is heartsick, but goes ahead and makes the decision to take the internship, Jacob supports her, will they be able to survive this 6 week time? With the big twist at the end, will the couple survive or explode at the end?

This book was cheesy at times I couldn't help but like it...
That beings said, for main characters in their 20s, they sure did act very juvenile.
Alicia has graduated college and on her way to try and make it in the big world of creating computer apps for her dream company. However, the plan sounds much easier than it is to put in motion. When she's suckered into playing Monsters Go with her brother she meets a man who is as passionate about apps and computer codes as she is.
Jacob has a secret. He fled Silicone Valley when the success of his app reached a higher interest than he ever expected. Now he just wants to date Alicia as Jacob the computer nerd, not Jacob insta-billionaire and creator of Monsters Go. But his plans backfire and now he must convince Alicia he really does love her and not just for her creative brain.
There were a few times in this book I wanted to smack Alicia. Tell me again how you don't think it's obvious that after you tell your boyfriend your ideas to make the app much better and then BAM they are there the next day? I hated that she railed on Jacob after finding out who he was. She was determined to find the worst in him and the worst she saw was that he never offered her a job while she was searching for one. I'm sorry, but she made it painfully obvious that she wanted to work for her "dream" company, and it's sad that Jacob knew that she never would've taken the job without earning it, but she never gave him that chance to explain. Instead she ran off like a child and threw her temper tantrums.
Lastly, whoever edited this book really should be fired. There were so many glaring mistakes in this story that even I (who sucks as English) even noticed them. Misspelled words, incorrect forms of words (past when they should be present), words just inserted in sentences that make no sense...it became hard for me to keep an interest in the book when I was constantly having to figure out what the heck the author was trying to write.

Very cute, standalone romance based around a gaming app called Monster GO (shares a lot of similarities with Pokemon GO ;) ).
Alicia has moved back home after graduating university and is back under her parents’ roof with her little brother, while she applies for jobs and internships in her field of software engineering/development.
Her little brother is obsessed with this new Monster hunting app and wants Alicia to play it too. Together they go out Monster hunting and run into a young, handsome man who is new to town – also playing this game. They play the game together a bit, walk around catching monsters and getting to know each other, but the Jacob finally asks Alicia on a date (a phone-free date to be precise).
They hit it off and Alicia wants to take things further, but Jacob wants to move slowly to make sure that Alicia knows that he’s serious and not just looking for a fling.
Throughout the story, some actions and reactions of Jacob’s just don’t quite add up, but Alicia is too enamoured to notice any red flags. She is focused on their new relationship and determined to win her dream internship in the Silicon Valley.
When Jacob’s secret is revealed and Alicia realizes that she really doesn’t know Jacob at all, she cuts all ties, or at least she thought she had.

Alicia chambers had her life planned out in steps. the only problem with her plan, she was stuck on step two.....find a job.
no matter how many resumes she sent out she had not heard from anyone. she wanted her dream job phone app development was that too much to ask for, apparently it was. her family goes out to eat and she trips going in the restaurant and is sure she is gonna face plant when a pair of strong arms comes to her rescue. He was so gorgeous.

this was a wonderful book and very well written. I would love to see more of the couple and find out how their life went.
Alicia chambers had her life planned out in steps. the only problem with her plan, she was stuck on step two.....find a job.

He was so gorgeous.

Alicia is having a rough time. She just graduated from college with a degree in computer programming but she cannot get a job. She is applying for an extremely competitive internship but no answer yet. Then one day she is walking in the park with her brother who is introducing her to a new phone app game, she runs into a gorgeous guy. There is immediate sparks and he also plays the sames game and helps her understand the game. Jacob meets Alicia several more times both playing the game and on dates. He helps her deal with the tension of waiting for a job. However Jacob is pretty secretive. It is clear he was into programming but he said he is retired. He does spend a lot of money on Alicia on their dates.

Alicia has just graduated from College and while living with her parents she is trying to look for a job in the programming field. She literally falls into the arms of her new friend Jacob who soon becomes her boyfriend. Their relationship takes an unfortunate turn due to an omission by one of them. You know what they say, "Just tell the truth and everything will work out for the best."
Krista's books are very sweet and they will draw you in within the first couple pages. Her plots are really good and even her steamy scenes are very well written and tasteful. Every one of her books is worth the price and time to read them. I really enjoy Krista's books. I'm never disappointed in them and you won't be either.

This is the story about Alicia & Jacob and how they fell in love over an App/Game that you play on your cell phone. This was such a sweet love story that you can see happening now a days with all the app developers making millions on just a simple app and all the young people playing them. Alicia is just out of college and is in the process of applying for a prestiges internship with one go the top app developing company. Walking into a restaurant with her family to celebrate her graduation she literally falls for Jacob who catches her. This is the start to their whirlwind relationship. Some little white lies, some dreams come true, and a little work on both of their parts will make their love story complete. A great read! I would highly recommend it!

Alicia meets Jacob when she goes to the park with her younger brother to play Monster Go. Jacob has just moved to their small town and Alicia has just graduated from college and is looking for her first job in her career as a computer programmer. They are very attracted to each other and quickly develop a new relationship. She doesn't pry to find out what who he really is and that seemed naïve to me. I loved their interaction and wished well for their lives together. Their story is intriguing and is loosely based on the current trend of Pokémon Go.

This was my first book by Krista Lakes and I enjoyed it for the most part. I thought Jacob was great.. He was a hot sexy billionaire and this story had just enough steam for me. Great chemistry between Alicia and Jacob, could have been more development between characters, and the ending did feel a little too rushed. A good quick read, I would like to read more books by Krista. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a cute story. Alicia and Jacob are such a sweet couple. Alicia has just graduated college and is trying to find her first computer programming job. The first time they meet he save her from falling. Then while out bonding with her brother there paths cross again. Jacob is hiding for awhile to take a break. He runs his own software and app company. He is tired of being used for his money. When Alicia doesn't recognize him, he doesn't tell her. How love how there love grow. Wow who knew a phone game can lead you to your soul mate!! I loved reading about Alicia and Jacobs journey to HEA. I really liked the idea about Monster GO bringing them together and totally agree with Alicia that the real game needs all those updates!! I choose you had love, laughter, some drama, unique storyline and sexy scenes with my new sexy book boyfriend!

Plus she was just willing to walk away without an explanation, I understand she was upset but if you truly love someone you'll give them a chance to explain. I figured it out right after the first game update. Also, I didn't quite understand why she couldn't just create an app herself while job hunting. Although I did love how he apologized with the rare monster, that was cute. I won't say don't read this, that's not how I work since I know everyone has different tastes. I'm just saying this wasn't that great in my opinion but you may LOVE it, who knows.... read it and find out!

Krista Lakes did a great job with this book. Jacob & Alicia's story is a sweet love story. Jacob the hot & sexy male and Alicia is the sweet & sassy female. Loved how the story formed around an game app. Both are computer programmers and formed a bound that couldn't be broken. Must Read!!

I enjoyed this sweet and fun story. I pulled in from the beginning. Alicia and Jacob meet and connect with their interest in popular game app. I enjoyed reading their story unfold and how their feels grow. Will Alicia forgive Jacob after she discovers his secret?
