But when he meets Lady Roslyn, a stunning, high-spirited lass, who could very well be the love of his life, things change.
Can Ian rescue Quinn and win Roslyn’s heart, or will her ruthless brother, Roderick, laird of the Morgan stronghold, stand in their way of happiness?
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE THREE AUTHORS WITH SAME NAME (B.J. SCOTT) MY BOOKS ARE HISTORICAL ROMANCE NOVELS
With a passion for history and romance, I have several exciting works in progress. Each manuscript offers a blend of passion, adventure and where appropriate, a dab of comic relief. Carefully researched historical facts are woven into the storyline, providing a backdrop from which steamy romance, gripping plots and vivid characters—dashing alpha heroes and resourceful, beguiling heroines you can't help but admire—spring to life. I also write contemporary, paranormal, time travel and romantic suspense.
After several years in the nursing and child and youth work fields, I met and married my knight in shinning armor and he whisked me away to his castle by the sea. Actually, it is a century old home in a small town on the shore of Lake Erie, where we reside with our three dogs and a cat.
While born in Canada, my ethnic background( grandparents back) were from Scotland, Ireland and England. Perhaps the reason for my facination with anything Celtic. In the fourth grade, I discovered the work of C.S Lewis, and was hooked. When I am not writing, working at my childcare job or on my small business, you will find me reading, camping or antique hunting.
I am a PAN member of Romance Writers of America, World Romance Writers, Celtic Heart Romance Writers, Savvy Authors and several writer critique groups.

I loved the characters and storyline so much. Roslyn and Ian were a perfect pair. So happy they took care of Roderick. He was a mean bastard. Well on to my next story. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜
The storyline has potential, the book falls short in the details. The plot is highly melodramatic--bring on Dudley Do-Right and the Perils of Pauline. A child from the Fraser Clan is abducted by Roderick Morgan, of the Morgan Clan. (It's an ugly story, but Roderick is Quinn's biological father). Roderick is evil and mean. Roslyn is Roderick's sister, who thinks Quinn belongs with his mother. Ian Fraser infiltrates the Morgan castle in an attempt to rescue Quinn. During the process, he falls in love with Roslyn, who tries to help him.
That is all well and good and makes for an exciting story. However, I got so frustrated with the characters being so polite and considerate and selfless. They are trying to escape and Roslyn says "You go without me!" to Ian. Ian says "I cannot leave you here!". They spend a lot of time being noble and trying to protect each other that they waste a lot of time while trying to escape the evil Roderick and his minions. I wanted to slap them and say "Get moving! Now!" (So, maybe invoking emotion in the reader is a good thing?)
It is an exciting story line, with ups and downs, adventures and misadventures. As I so often find with e-books, there were way too many typographical errors, misspellings, and other things that a proofreader could catch. With the help of a good editor, this book would be great!
All the previous characters from the other stories are back, and the plot and story is a page-turner. Never does this book slow down and bore the reader. It keeps a fantastic pace and the romance between Ian and Rosalyn is heartwarming. B.J. Scott writes woman with not only beauty, but strength and dignity. I will look forward to reading much, much more from this author.
So, soooo not good. Spelling is often wonky but especially irritating when it's the same couple of phrases over and over--and they're not even spelled wrong consistently. And why mix Scots and English words? If you're going to say "Haud yer wheesht," why keep fucking it up by saying "Hold your wheest/weesht?" I've also never heard "Lang may yer lum reek" outside Hogmanay ('natch, they wrote it as "Long may your lum reek" because... I dunno. I guess more than a couple Scots words were too much to learn and retain.)
The story itself is lame, the characters unbelievable, and even the villain is one-dimensional. Once I got through the painfully saccharine two hours, I even found myself skimming the lame sex scene at the end. That's how bad this was.
Highland Deliverance by B.J. Scott is a fantastic historical romance. Ms. Scott has gifted us with a book that is well-written and packed with phenomenal characters. Roslyn is determined to help her nephew escape her evil brother and reunite him with his mother. Ian volunteers to be the one to enter the Morgan castle and find his cousin's son. Roslyn and Ian's story is loaded with drama, humor, action, spice and suspense. I enjoyed this book from the first page to the last and look forward to my next book by B.J. Scott. Highland Deliverance is book 3 of the Blades of Honor Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
5 stars. If you like villains, this is about the cruelest, tenacious man I have loved to hate. The things happening are unbelievable, and hard to read about. Loved H/h and many others in story. The heroine was so strong and brave, and protective, as was hero. The relationship between the two was sweet, innocent, and tender. For me story was nail biting till HEA end. The ending had some great sizzle, and was well worth waiting for. Highly recommend as I do all her books, and can’t wait to start her next book.
Laird Roderick Morgan rapped Sheena when she was 17. She had a son but pretended it was her young brother. Laird Morgan was married but had only girls. He kidnapped Quinn his only son. Ian Fraser went into the castle as a servant to find Quinn. Laird Morgan’s sister tried her best to keep Quinn comfortable. Ian did get Quinn out and to his father but had to go back to get Roslyn the laird’s sister for the Laird had her thrown into the dungeon. With her lady’s maids help he got her. Running for their lives Ian fought Rod and killed him.
Clan Morgan kidnapping Quinn and frightening him for vendeta. Rosalyn would try to save him put her broth Roderick hurt her all the time. Clan Fraser was going to tack Quinn back. Quinn didn't want to leave Rosalyn by herself. Ian Fraser went to rescue Quinn. Was Rosalyn loose herself to Sinclair her life or love. Ian would he save all he was sent to do and be successful. What will they have to endear to be happy
Having a very hard life living with her brother and trying to stay a life. Her brother trys to kill her but he wants something from her first. But she won't give it up because she made a promise to her mother. But when she meets Ian they file in love and also save the boy who is her brothers son. I give this story a five star rating.
Totally enjoyed this book! Written well with romance and suspense and believable characters. This is a stand alone book from the series but reading books in order helps with the characters.
Wonderful story very adventurous and romantic from beginning to end with dangerous fighting. I'm so glad I read this book. I recommend it to everyone who loves the highlander.
Fraser Clan vs. Morgan Clan. Ian is out to rescue his nephew Quinn. He meets Lady Rosylyn , sister of the Laird Roderick of the Morgan Clan. She is spirited, tough. This story is suspenseful, romantic. They are drawn to each other.See how it turns out.
If anyone knows the historical use of this word in medieval Scotland please list. The word is used to the point it was distracting me from the story. Getting past that word was a chore. However, the store wasn't filled with stupid actions by the female. The male was not in position of authority and brut forcing his plan. It had nice refreshing details to an old plot.
Members of the Fraser clan join forces to rescue a young boy from a despicable laird who is also trying to marry off his sister to an equally despicable man. Soon th Fraser's will have to rescue one of their own and the Claire's sister.
Excellent story. Love it when authors do family saga and take care to make each book a winner. Oscar's torture is hard to read, glad he made it. Love Seena and Quinn.
Got it for free from Amazon. This was an ok read. Plopped into the middle of the series, but can be read as a stand alone if don't mind all the guest appearances from the other stories. I think this is set in medieval Scotland. Has a REALLY bad villain!
Ian Fraser is on a mission with his cousins and brothers to rescue one of his cousin's son who has been kidnapped by the Morgan clan. He infiltrates their castle as a servant. At the High table he sees a lass that is the loveliest woman he has ever seen. He must keep his focus on his mission.
Roslyn Morgan is the Lairds sister, but her brother is evil and now he has kidnapped a young lad. There are rumors the lad could be her nephew. She must protect him. She is taken aback when a servant comes to bring the lad a meal. He is so brawn and handsome. He catches her eye. Evil is what her brother represents and she must save the lad.
This was a story that went by quickly for me and it was not due to being short. It was because it was very good and I had to continue until I was finished. There were some grammatical errors though.
This one was very interesting right from the start. I liked it even more than the previous book in this series! Ian has his hands full with trying to find an escape for Quinn and Roslyn, but he's a handy guy to have around! Don't miss this one!
When Roderick Morgan, the ruthless leader of Clan Morgan, kidnaps Lazarus’ son, Quinn, the Fraser men go after him. Once outside the castle it is decided that Ian Fraser would go inside and find Quinn, once he gets the needed information the men would make a plan to rescue Quinn. However, once inside Ian sees the most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes on, who just happens to be Roderick’s sister. Ian has to decide if he trusts her to help or turn him in to her brother.
This story is a pager turner from the very start to the very end. I read this in one sitting. Absolutely a great story with an amazing plot. The Heroes are strong, honorable and likeable characters. The women are strong in their own way as well. Ian stopped at nothing to rescue Rosalyn and she in turn doesn’t let her evil brother scare her in doing what she needed to in order to help Ian. This author has such a fantastic talent for writing stories set in Scotland with great plots and great heroes! Enjoyed this one thoroughly!!
Another page turner you won't want to put down, not only that but you'll want to keep on reading, again and again.
This is the story of Ian Fraser and the rescue of not only his cousins son Quinn from Roderick Morgan, the Laird of Clan Morgan, but also the man's sister, Roslyn.
Such a great plot with cameo's from characters we've come to love.
Definitely one for the keeper shelf.
I willingly read this advanced readers copy and it was a pleasure.
B.J. Scott is a great writer, she ended Highland Resurrection, the 2nd book in this series with a cliffhanger that carried over to this story and it was everything I expect from this writer. It had drama, suspense, and action. I truly recommend this book and even though this can be read as a stand alone I recommend to read the entire series.
