This is a book for charismatics about spiritual warfare and ridding yourself of demons (whether you take that literally or figuratively) from your past. I took several pages of notes and simmered that down to one page of bullet points of what happened to me, how I am behaving/what my challenges are as a result, what God promises to do to help me, what I need to do to recover from those things, and the rewards God promises. I found it tremendously valuable just to be able to "give it a name" in order to pray about the past that haunts me.

This book takes about a minute and a half to engage between the writing and the reader. Beyond that point, it is smooth sailing. Easy to read. Easy to relate. I have read many of John Eckhardt's books, and don't think I have found one yet that I didn't enjoy/learn from. This book holds up to it's title. It isn't condemning, but hits the nail on the head with issues today's Christians face about our pasts and the hurts we come into. It doesn't just give the hurt, it gives the help, the cure, the healing (of Jesus Christ, our Lord). I enjoyed this challenging book from cover to cover, and would be willing to recommend it to anybody who is hungry to move past and be healed from their hurts.

I was not a fan… This book made a lot of great points on the power of God to deliver us from anything. However, there was way too much focus on homosexuality and the author seems to dismiss mental health problems. I personally don’t believe all mental health issues are spiritual attack but I do believe God can deliver us from anything. If I had not been a book being read by a small group in my church, I would’ve added it to DNF pile

Life changing Read

After some heavy, dark situations in my life, my pastor suggested that I needed to study rejection. Initially, I totally disagreed with him but I took spare time to research the meaning of the word rejection and purchased a few books but they were not faith based, Christian literature. After another conversation with my pastor, he clarified that I needed to "study the Spirit of Rejection," which is a clear difference. I began to search for books and found this book. I am so glad I did. I can admit, I was scared to read this at first but as I read through the first few characters, I felt like I was reading my biography. Sounds weird, right!? Imagine how I felt. This book is written in a away that educates the reader with Biblical understanding, spiritual definition and then teaches practical application. This book doesn't leave you feeling like deliverance is impossible like many others. I believe by faith that I am delivered. I purchased the digital version of this book but it is so powerful that I will purchase the book for my home too as a reference. I know that the information within is way too valuable. I am grateful to God that He uses someone to write this book and provide the necessary knowledge and information with the world. This is definitely worth the read!!! My life is forever changed!!! And changed for the better...and everyone connected to my bloodline too! Thank You, God!!

A really excellent book for anyone who believes in the Word of God and is struggling with rejection spirits or roots caused by any number of reasons and whether recent or historic or even hereditary. Not having read anything by the author, John Eckhardt before I wasn't sure what to expect, but his writings are very clear and very informative, and completely backed up by Bible teaching. I also found it very helpful that the last chapter included so many example prayers and declarations to speak against these unwanted and unholy spirits and how to truly repent from any past behavious. I wouldn't hesitate to read more of his work.

Excellent!

There was nothing about this book that I didn't like . It was tough to read at times because it allows you to get to the root of the problem, and that can always be hard. Everything about this book has been a blessing to me, especially the prayers. Deliverance has definitely begun in this area of my life . I will definitely recommend this book to others. This book was and is a life changer. I gave my heart to the LORD 15 yrs ago but in all the ministry I have done I never dealt with the spirit of rejection fully. This spirit has wrecked my life, this book has opened my eyes to so many different things to help me finally deal with so many issues I’ve had. I had been full on confusion not understanding the things I felt and decisions I have made until now. This is a great read if you truly want to be free!

I really liked this book. He covered many components of dysfunction that can arise throughout a person's life when Rejection issues are not addressed. He also illustrated how the dyfunction can also destroy healthy relationships in the life of someone who is struggling with this issue. Lastly, he cites steps that a person can take to be completely free from Rejection. It was a good read.

While Eckhardt has a different theological view from mine, I still found great benefit from reading (listening to) his book. But regardless of the differences, I think that many non-Pentecostals dismiss the spiritual realm too readily. There is much to be considered here. I did not like the reader, as I felt his intonations were odd.
