I’m a HUGE fan of Claudia Burgoa’s. Her Unexpected series will forever be near and dear to my heart. With this book, Claudia takes us on a completely different journey. Something unlike anything she has done before.

Hudson Drago and Jade Vance meet at a wedding and have one memorable one-night stand. They both went in thinking that’s all it would be. Hudson’s not looking for a relationship and Jade’s leaving the next day. But life is not something you plan or count on.

I never took a closer look at the cover for Finding My Reason until I started reading and know after finishing this fabulous story I love it. Jade and Hudson were freaking amazing together even though I almost pulled some of my hair out in frustration.

Their first meeting was terrific and hilarious thanks to Hudson's best man speech. Their connection undeniable. Yes, they have a one night stand but they don't begin a relationship after that one night. This story spanned thirteen years and just the time it took for them to get together was long but it but was well worth the wait. They became each other's best friend and fell irrevocably in love. Jade and Hudson have abandonment and commitment issues which is so deep embedded within them both, that it hold them both back in fear of hurting one another. Their love was intoxicating and when one of them suddenly wanted more it caused a rift into their relationship. It was gut wrenching and emotional.

I really enjoyed this story and loved these characters because they had plenty of substance and their growth especially Jade's was exceptional. The secondary characters Claire and Brody were fantastic. Strong friends and family for Jade and Hudson.
Claudia Burgoa delivers a powerful and emotional story about love, finding yourself and second chances.

What a unique story!!! I'm getting quite tired of predictable books filled with clichéd stories. Finding My Reason was a breath of fresh air - Jade and Hudson's story was so real and messy and non-conventional. I always love a book that spans long time periods. We got to see Jade & Hudson's relationship evolve over 13 years and I loved it.

I did have some trouble connecting at the beginning of the book, but after about 30% I was hooked. I switched from reading my arc to the version I purchased on Amazon, and I just loved the suitcases at the beginning of each chapter! They opened a little more and more with every chapter and I felt that it represented the couple unloading their baggage. All in all another great book by Claudia Burgoa!!

3.5 Stars for me. I won an ARC of this and read it in one sitting. I really liked it. And yet.....I really didn't.
Have you ever read of those kinds of books? The kind where it has everything you love - the sex appeal, the chemistry, the subcharacters, the angst...but yet it fell flat. I should have absolutely loved this book since it checked off all my boxes.
But honestly, the back and forth between Hudson and Jade had my head spinning. Her indecisiveness got on my nerves so horribly. I wanted to reach into the book and punch her several times. And then I wanted to reach in the book and punch Hudson!
It was good. It was angsty. But the characters annoyed me.

There are times a piece of paper is simply that. A piece of paper. But at other times, that piece of paper, and the words imprinted into it, mean so much more.

This is a lesson that Hudson Drago learns the hard way.

At the start of this lovely book, Hudson meets Jade. A strong minded, girl who has no plans to settle down and has only one goal – to travel and see the world. A one night stand with her is perfect for both of them. Except somewhere between the hot sex and the whispered conversations, something else develops. Something that would grow for years as they each lived their lives, yet remained in close contact, unable to forget that one night. That special spark they shared.

Fast track to the point when she is close again, they start their lives together, yet somehow remain separate. Both of them are too wrapped up in worry and ignoring what they need to be happy until it can no longer to ignored.

I won’t lie. I wanted to smack them both and yell at them for not seeing what was so obvious. But as characters do, the talented Claudia Burgoa had to let them learn at their own pace. Pain, heartbreak and meddling family tear them apart, until eventually, they both learn to face their fears, open themselves up to love and the risks that come with it.

Hudson finally understands the importance of that piece of paper, and how it fulfills something in Jade. In turn Jade learns to bend and speak her mind, finally admitting what she needs to be happy, and letting Hudson be the one to provide it.

Another great read by this lovely author.

And our fairy tale came to an end.
But did it have to end or can we find a reason to stay?

“You have to find a reason to stay. When you do, I’ll be here, waiting for you.”
"She is my other half. My fucking soulmate. I can’t live without her. Jade is fucking everything to me. I waited my whole life for her."

It's a great novel! No cliffs; it's definitely different and unique. Go in with a clear and open mind. Allow the characters to take you into their world.

(Edited 02/11/16)
This could have potentially been one of my favourite books this year. It hasn't been smooth sailing, the first 30% I struggled to stay committed, to understand the characters or what this book was about. But it was about 28% that I realised I was in this for the long haul. I Was captured, and needed to know what was going to happen next. Cue feverish reading through the night, early morning, dropping all other reading matter and audio's which I usually listen to on the side.
This deserves 5 stars because it's a completely original story to me that I haven't read before. This deserves 5 stars for being so far outside the usual contemporary romance trope, completely no Usual Formula, I was kept in the dark unable to predict what was coming next. This deserves 5 stars for being so completely organic in a true love over the span of ten years without any manufactured drama. The heart break came with growing older, wanting different things, miscommunications. This book was so different to what I thought it would be. It's so far deeper than the blurb, which doesn't really indicate the true path or depth of this story. This had me crying silent tears into my pillow in pain, or with joy, feeling all the emotions - particularly if you're a mother, or trying to be.
But that first 30% of the book had some flaws, and I almost put it down. I kept looking at the beautiful book cover, indicating a road travelled, Jade was travelling the world to find herself. But not once were we given a sense of place of where she was. We were told she was in Australia or Barcelona, not once were we shown a window into her days in these places. Nor Hudson. I guess that sense of place in the world building was never established. I found Hudson's "voice" similar to hers many times in the early stages, I couldn't determine any real male characteristics (or his personality or character) distinguishing his voice from from her voice, other than a few extra swear words. I would have loved more of their correspondence and conversations, fairy tale telling someone, showing their bond growing, rather than telling us about it. These things made it harder for me to connect initially. I had a hard time trying to work out what was going on, who it was that we were reading about. Identifying ourselves with the characters, if we're not "seeing" their lives unfold. I wish there was expansion on this first third of the book, we needed more showing than telling, to get into the character's heads. I almost put this book down, to be honest, and perhaps some may do.
But I'm so glad I persisted, because once these characters were on, they were full on!! I loved it. I loved them. I loved their love, which I found relatable to true life. I loved seeing their changes through the years. I identified so much with Jade, so much of this book being when she was in her thirties, needing different things to her twenties. This was highly intuitive and emotional.
A top read, one of my favourites for this year. Some initial flaws, but from about 30% onwards I was fully invested and found the majority of this book perfection. These characters will stay on my mind for a long time. I recommend this for the 30+ reader.

Two people who have trust issues due to their pasts, but it's how they dictate their future that will determine if they will keep living and allow love in their lives - or watch it float away...

Jade Vance & Hudson Drago have a magical night that inevitably leads to the morning after, but life is never that easy & simple. Hudson knows they shared something magical but Jade's fears have her running from him, blaming it on work. Hudson knows he's found his "princess" to share his life with, but how can he make Jade see that as well? Despite his sister giving him her "unsolicited opinion" Hudson's feelings for Jade never change.

Jade, oh Jade. She was a stubborn one and infuriated me plenty of times. I know that her insecurity had her running but I wanted to shake her and make her see that what she was running away from was the one reason she should stop and fight for it. One of the many things that I loved about this book was the e-mails, text messages and goofy conversations between Jade and Hudson. I also loved Hudson's way of making Jade think for herself and to see the whole picture rather than only what she wanted to see.

“Give me a reason to stay,”....
“No,” he whispers, brushing his lips against my ear, sending a delicious shiver down my spine. “You have to find the reason to stay. When you do, I’ll be here, waiting for you.”

Finding My Reason is an emotional ride that will have you wanting to throw your tablet and smack some people. Believe me that it’s worth it to hang on and be patient as these two get their acts together and realize that they belong to each other. ~ Kara, 4.5 Stars

I'm a sucker for a story about love at first sight, I knew what it was from the start, but most don't believe in such a thing, just like these two yahoos. However what I didn't know was would they realize that and follow their harts and feelings and not their strong willed minds.

I loved their story. Their ups and down, reading how their relationship progressed. With the twists in the story I didn't whether their love would survive. Jade and Hudson were great. Jenna and Adriana, absolutely horrid individuals.

The cover is what drew me in with this book. Then I read the synopsis and I knew I had to read this book.

The beginning of this book had me laughing! Hudson’s best man speech was shocking and funny! Omg… that story he told! I would have killed him if he would have given that speech at my wedding. But that showed me what kind of personality Hudson had. And I loved it! He was so funny and carefree.
It set the tone of this book for me. And I knew I was in for a wild ride with Hudson.

This book was such a roller coaster ride. There was so many twists and turns. It had my head spinning. Oh and the tears! I couldn’t stop the flow of tears falling down. Both characters had deep issues about their childhood. That never quite went away in their adult life.

Both main characters were flawed. I both loved and hated them. But I think Hudson was more messed up. I would just fall in love with him. Then he would open his mouth and I just hated him. The things he would say… ughhh
I just wanted to slap him.

Jade and all the time she spent away from her hometown knowing she had someone that wanted more with her… was hard to swallow.
A good chunk the book was spent with them apart. I hated that.

More towards the end of the book I would say I was wondering how things were going to be played out. Hudson got himself into a big old mess. My heart was breaking for Jade.
Hudson really worked hard to get himself out of it.

There was one character I hated with a passion and it was Hudson’s sister Jenna! Omg… did I hate her. She was a major B!
I also hated Adriana. That girl was crazy.

Overall… this book was a nice surprise. I couldn’t put it down.

Favorite Quotes:

Will she forgive you? I don't know, but one wrong word or move, and I'll feed your remains to the bears.

Son, no one wants a relationship based on 'good enough.' Good enough is for children's art projects and quitters.

The only tip my best friend gave me was: She's always right. Any wrong move and she'll try to claw your eyes out.

Today my life sounds like a shitty soap opera where I'm the next character to get killed...

My Review:

Not being a big fan of either angst or constant drama, I was more than a bit miserable while reading Finding My Reason, however, I couldn't stop reading... The writing was frequently amusing, engaging, sensual, and well-paced, yet it was also generally angsty and emotive with a storyline that made my heart hurt - but I couldn't stop reading... I felt on edge and tense through the majority of the book and frequently cursed Ms. Burgoa's skill for poignancy and emotional depth. The protagonists shared an instant attraction, sizzling sensual chemistry, and an epic love for one another - although, they were both also deeply flawed by their experiences, stubborn, insecure, anxious, and rather immature creatures who grew to want and need different things from their relationship. I was near despair and wanting to bludgeon Hudson with my kindle before he finally experienced his epiphany and stopped being an asshat. It took a bit longer for Jade to cease being short-sighted and delusional until they finally achieved that much-desired HEA - but Ms. Burgoa certainly made them work for it. I believe my next read needs to be light and fluffy to allow my poor coronary muscle to unclench.

Where do I even start to describe this incredible book? Hudson will capture your heart from page one with both hands and refuse to let go. If you've ever been unsure of your place in the world, Jade will speak directly to your soul. Their story, no matter how complicated it may get, will speak directly to your heart. You will cry with them, you will laugh with them, you will get nervous and to cared with them, but above all, you will love with them.

Claudia writes you right into the story, I could not put this down until I finished and when I did, my heart broke wanting the stay in their world. It's not as often as we'd like we come across a book that stays imprinted on our hearts and that's exactly Claudia has given us. Jade and Hudson will stay with you once you've let them in. Their love and perseverance will claim your thoughts for days. You'll be wondering how you never had the love and fate that the world bestowed on these two incredible individuals. I could go on for pages and pages to tell you all the parts that make this an incredible book, but instead I'll invite you to discover it yourself. It's a read you'll not regret. Easily a 5/5 and a must read for all the romance lovers!

Claudia has been a favourite author of mine since I discovered the Deckers (If you haven't read then, be sure too). Finding my Reason was a book I had the privileged on reading when only in its early stages and now again once complete.

To say I love the final version would be true. Though Hudson may come across like a bit of a douche and Jade abit of a free spirit, there combined personalities made them a beautiful match.

Holding onto the one night they spent together before Jade sets off around the world, there instant connection leaves something to build on. There communication while apart was perfectly played as it allowed us readers to show how there relationship built.

Though they seemed like the perfect couple, can one give up there dreams and longing for more? Or will one come to there senses and wake up before all is lost.

Final Score - 5 Stars!!!

***I received an exclusive ARC of this book***

I was frustrated beyond belief at times with this book. Both Hudson and Jade are flawed people with issues. Hudson is the ultimate playboy looking for the next score. Jade is looking to find herself and where she comes from after a rough first start at life.

These two souls called to each others missing parts: Hudson's need to be loved and have that person stay & Jade's need to be wanted. This story evolves over 10 years and I loved reading the background as to how these two went from one night stand to friends to partners. The evolution of their friendship during this time to me was not only fun to read, but endearing. I won't say more, because you simply HAVE TO read this book to find out what happens, but I can say you too will enjoy the outcome.

This book is a definite must read.

Finding My Reason by Claudia Burgoa is a great love story that withstands years. Hudson and Jade meet briefly and embark on a friendship that slowly turns into so much more. When Hudson and Jade decide to take the leap and settle down, neither one knew what to expect. All they knew was that they loved each other and would figure out the rest. But when year have gone by and talk of the future comes up, they discover that they both want two very different things. Can Hudson and Jade make it work? Is compromise possible? You will need to read this fantastic story to find out! I fell in love with these characters and I know you will too!!

I’ve read all of Claudia’s other books and absolutely loved them so I was so excited to read this one as well. I started this book with no expectations based on the other books I’ve read from her and I’m glad I didn’t because not only was this book different, it was unique in its own way and made me fall in love with Claudia’s writing all over again. The characters were not only great, they seemed real and easy to love. I think a lot of readers out there will fall in love with both Hudson and Jade. This book is definitely worth reading and recommending to friends.

ARC Generously Provided by Claudia in exchange for an honest review

Is a standalone by Claudia Y. Burgoa and this book is amazing and something different that other books I have read. This book is about Jade and Hudson who had a very difficult situations in their past that makes them think that they dont deserved and need a happily ever after.

I really liked that we can know all about how these characters know each other, how the romantic story started. First they have a pretty awesome friendship, after some time they start an amazing relationship.

“It’s different. Back then, we barely knew each other. Today I want to think that I know you well. You know all my secrets. My likes and dislikes. How I take my coffee and… Is it to soon to say I love you?”

After some years they have an incredible relationship, until one of them wants more and all the problems begin between them… Someone want more about the relationship (marriage) and the other person wants to keep things as they are. They passed for a very difficult situations, including a really bitch sister who only cause a lot of troubles (Yes I HATE youu Jenna).

“Jade stole my heart at your wedding. You might not want to believe it, but no one loves her the way I do. I’d die for Jade Vance, She’s my life”

“You are my everything. Jade Vance. I spent so many years pathetically moping about you. I guess I forgot how to treat you like the gem you are once you were finally mine.”

“As much as I’d love for us to go back to who we were… We can’t. There’s no reset button…. I want us to find a happy place and create somethings special for our family.”

At the end they will have to find a reason to have a future together and they’ll have to understand that LOVE is the most important thing.

“I’ve been in love with her since I first set my eyes on her at Brody’s wedding. I fell in love with her with the way she transforms and ordinary moment into an extraordinary event. She’s owns my soul and heart. She is my life!”

“I’m not asking you to find a reason. I’m planning on giving you plenty of reasons to stay beside me-forever.”

From the bottom of my heart I have to say you NEED to read this book!! Is amazing and unique!! Is a story where we can find a lot of feelings!! Once you start reading you can put it away!! Is so awesome because you can know the differents situations that they have to passed through their lives. Jade and Hudson are so real and amazing characters! I realy enjoy reading their story!

Congrats Claudia for this amazing story!! Can’t wait for your next books!

Amazing, unique romance about two somewhat damaged souls who form a true connection, but the timing is never right for them.

Hudson Drago is scared of being abandoned. He wants to feel needed. Jade Vance is scared that no one wants to keep her. She needs to feel wanted.

“I feel the zing when her hand touches mine. Her skin is soft as silk. Like her voice, and there’s a change in the air. Our eyes lock on each other, something passing between us.”

A one-night stand turns into an all-nighter of sexual and spiritual connection between a man, who wants to love but never marry or have children, and a woman, who is searching for herself and wants to be good enough for the people in her life.

“You have to find a reason to stay. When you do, I’ll be here, waiting for you.”

The one night turns into years of letters, postcards, emails, texts, and telephone conversations, as Hudson waits for Jade to find a reason to stay put in one place and finally give them a chance at a relationship. When she finally comes home, he knows in his heart that he wants forever with her, and he doesn’t need a piece of paper to validate his love for her. Jade wants the whole shebang – marriage, children and the white picket fence. She needs a legal document to say that she belongs to someone.

They are the best of friends with an amazing connection, stunning chemistry, and talk about everything, except the most important thing. It’s the thing that breaks them. However, when an unexpected game-changer is thrown into the mix, Hudson and Jade need to navigate the waters of their doubts and fears, and trust in their forever love before they can find happiness.

This was a romance with a difference. There was so much yearning in this story, as Hudson and Jade go from one-night lovers, to best friends, to loving couple, and then go their separate ways. There’s plenty of heartbreak, agony, and fear, but running through it all, there is an unforgettable love. It was a really moving story – I was on the verge of tears for the latter half, as these two souls try to find their rightful place in each other’s life, and I pretty much sobbed right near the end! Fabulous story!

This is a poignant and epic love story between two broken souls. Hudson Drago was abandoned by his mother when he was small, leaving him to help raise his younger sister because his father could never recover from that heartbreaking loss. Hudson never wanted to marry and set himself up for so much pain and suffering when they would eventually leave him. Jade Vance was abandoned at birth and rejected from one foster home after another until she was finally adopted by a very loving and supportive family. She still has anxiety over not being good enough and is always trying to please those around her, ignoring her own needs and desires. Jade and Hudson meet at Hudson's best friends wedding. What starts as a one night stand grows into so much more. Jade is off the next day to attend graduate school in Australia, then travel the world as a photojournalist. Hudson stays behind to prepare to start his own company. They can't stop thinking of each other and soon start calling to stay connected. They become best friends and slowly fall in love. Jade is carefree, passionate, and creative while Hudson is practical, strong, and kind. He comforts Jade and makes her laugh when she needs it. But can time and distance keep you warm on lonely nights? When they are in the same place, can a heart survive the ache it feels when they are forced to separate time after time? Jade finally finds a reason to stay and Hudson is eager to finally begin the life together he has patiently waited years for. But they both looked at a piece of paper very differently. To one it is a prison and to the other it is security. When meddling family, past lovers and a piece of paper comes between them, will they be able to find their reason to fight for their HEA? I fell in love with Jade and Hudson, even though they frustrated me at times. They were so good for each other, helping each other heal. I love that Ms. Burgoa takes her time developing Hudson, Jade and their complex relationship, making their growth, and epic love feel solid, authentic and unbreakable. She expertly weaves a multilayered tale that will make you feel every emotion and capture your heart. This unique and refreshing love story is a must read!

"Not all big loves can become great stories"
What happens when you find your love at a wedding celebration, but they leave the country the next day for three years?

This is the story of Jade and Hudson. From a meeting at Jade's cousin Claire and Hudson best friend Brody, when a one night stand becomes a longing for more. The friendship and eventual love story of Jade and Hudson takes place over a few years, so the story is not a continuous from day one, but is told by both POV's over the years.

Jade is determined to find her dream and herself, an adopted child she put stock in thins being on paper, not knowing where she is from and having families give her back time and time again, her eventual adoption sees her still with fears she struggles with as an adult.

With Hudson, he doesn't believe in the paper concept. After all his parents had that and his mom still turned her back on them. Therefore his issues are of a different nature, and when Jades goes away the first time, he sees it as history replaying, so instead they play at friends.

After a couple of years and these two finally settle together, the love is there, but sometimes love is not enough and their story will make you want to cry and rant and rave, before you get to the end. A well worth read, I liked the emotion. The understanding that just because you love someone doesn't mean they understand you and doesn't mean you will be together forever. It requires work and compromise and sometimes the advice of family and friends to help along the way.

Both character leads had issues they needed to work through so it was true to life, and i could understand what they were afraid of and why the changes was sometimes hard to do and take. Finding a reason to stay and hold on.

Another good read by Claudia. A mistress of emotional storytelling. Highly recommend.

Finding my reason, is the story of Hudson Drago and Jade Vance. This pair have a very complicated love story. Right from the start they have this amazing chemistry, and an intense connection. Jade and Hudson struggle to find the right time to fully explore their relationship, but a one night stand turns into an amazing friendship and they become the best of friends. Fortunately fate intervenes and they are thrown together multiple times over the years, and with each interaction their bond, and connection grows.

Jade and Hudson are both damaged individual as a result of their pasts. Fears and doubts haunt this pair and they have strong beliefs that they don't deserve or will never find their happy ever after. They share so much with each other, but like the ability to really communicate their needs with each other when it comes to their relationship.

These characters are complex, endearing, realistic, relate-able and at times incredibly frustrating.
Their relationship is really complicated but also really beautiful. This story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking it takes you through a complete gamut of emotions and you can feel their fear, their love, their lust that they have each other. Make sure you have some Kleenex handy because you will definitely need them, throughout this story.

Although this was my first Claudia Burgoa book and it definitely will not be my last.

Finding My Reason follows the progression of Hudson and Jade. Meeting at a best-friend/relative’s wedding, Hudson and Jade decide they will have one night together as Jade is set to leave on a several year long's journey around the word. But that one night is ends-up meaning more than a just a one-night stand. Hudson feels something for Jade that he had never felt before; he wants to get to know her better, spend time with her both in and out of bed but at this time in their lives, it’s not meant to be. After begging for Jade’s number from his best-friend, Hudson begins a relationship with Jade via text and e-mail. Both realizing it would be too difficult at this point in time, the seal their fate as friends. As the years pass, both date others but nothing compares to the one night that Jade and Hudson spent together the first night they met. Eventually Jade returns to the United States to stay and the story follows the ups and downs of her and Hudson’s relationship until their reach a crossroads in their relationship and both must make difficult decisions regarding each other.
I enjoyed Find My Reason. This was the first book that I have read from Claudia Y. Burgoa. I thought the story was good although I enjoyed the last half of the book more than the first half as it had actual interaction between Hudson and Jade. The first half had a lot of e-mails, texts, random phone calls, and visits. I felt more connected to the characters in the second half. This is a broke-man and the girl that tries to fix him story but it worked well with the characters and story. As a reader, I really felt that Hudson loved Jade with all his heart and truly believed she was it for him.

Five Amazing Stars! Hudson and Jade meet at a friend's wedding and they have a one night stand. They form a special friendship that lasts through the years and eventually turns into love. While Hudson is waiting for Jade to stay in one place they keep up with each other through texts, phone calls, and letters. When Jade finally returns home she knows that she wants the marriage, kids, etc. with Hudson. Hudson knows that he wants forever with Jade but knows that he doesn't need a paper to prove his love. Can they come together and trust in each other to choose something that they both want? This was a beautifully written story about two friends becoming lovers. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and read it in one sitting. I absolutely loved the ending! Hudson and Jade have amazing chemistry. This is one story you don't want to miss out on! Highly recommend!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

I was so excited to receive this ARC, since I devoured all 5 books in Ms Burgoa's Unexpected series. I was not disappointed at all. Finding My Reason follows Hudson and Jade, who meet at the wedding of Hudson's best friend and Jade's cousin. They have an unforgettable night together, but in just a day or two Jade is leaving the country for three years.

This book reminds me of Unlike Any Other, my favorite in her Unexpected series. Like that one, this is the telling of an epic love story over several years. Like Gabe and Chris, Hudson and Jade develop a strong friendship and a deep love. Also like Gabe and Chris, they have to learn how to communicate their fears to each other and how to overcome them. I am afraid to say more because I don't want to spoil the experience for other readers.

I was so engrossed in this novel that I read it in one sitting when I'd planned on only looking it over since it was time for bed. I simply couldn't put it down. Whether you are already a fan of Ms Burgoa's books or haven't read any, definitely read this one. The characters feel real and stay with you even after the book has ended.

4 1/2 Stars
Claudia Burgoa had me enchanted with the Unexpected Series, so when I was gifted a copy of this book I was very excited to get started. No one does family like Claudia and this story is no exception. We meet Jade & Hudson at the wedding of his best friend to Jade's cousin in 2003, Jade is bartending and Hudson is the worlds worst best man - his toast was soo wrong!! Hudson is struck by Jade's beauty and what should have been a one time thing spans over the next 13 years. Claudia does an amazing job giving us glimpses of the evolving relationship between Jade and Hudson as well as the supporting cast throughout those years. We learn that Jade & Hudson's childhood will figure dramatically in their story. I highly recommend taking the journey with them - I would have loved to have given this book 5 stars except something that was essential to Jade throughout the last 1/3 of the book was only referred to at the end, I would have liked to have seen it take place.

I instantly fell in love with the characters in this book. I connected with Jades free spirit and Hudson's sense of humor.
What started as a one night stand, developed into a long complicated relationship for these two characters. Both characters have wounded souls due to separate traumatic childhood experiences.
Can a traveling free spirit who runs away to hide from her feelings and a man who is determined to protect his heart at any cost find their way to each other? Not if Jenna (Hudson's sister) and Addy, (Hudson's on again off again girlfriend) have anything to say about it.
Grab this book to discover for yourself, who, if anyone finds their reason. Enjoy the sometimes angsty ride as you fall in love with Hudson and Jade and love to hate Jenna and Addy.

Wow, just Wow, I loved this book, I was hooked from the first page and read it in one sitting. I fell in love with Hudson from the first time we meet him, though his best man speech is a bit special to say the least! Jade is a bartender at the wedding, sparks fly between them from there first meeting. It was only supposed to be one night but it ends up spanning 13yrs, the reader is taken on an emotional roller coaster with them over those years, keep tissues handy as you will ugly cry! Told in dual point of view, it also gives you an insight to their childhood and how this shapes them into the adults they are today. Another great read from this author, can't recommend this book highly enough. 5 amazing *!

This book takes you on a many year journey of two lost souls...you will find yourself cheering for them, crying for them and, more than once, yelling at their fool selves! Jade and Hudson are both a little damaged, a little lost and in need of some serious soul healing. They just can't get their ducks to line up right. It's a little heavier than some romances, but its so needed to really understand the mindset of these two amazing characters...and some awesome love scenes to boot. You want to hug them and slap them upside the head at the same time. Perfect if you love a romance that's more than just fluff. I

I absolutely love love love this book! I was hooked from the very first page. Jade & Hudson have an incredibly beautiful & romantic story. Their relationship is filled with angst and sometimes they frustrated me. The relationship occurs over several years and as the plot and characters develop, it's an emotional rollcoaster. However, in the end everything comes together as it should in this perfectly imperfect relationship.
