With the villain reveal at the end of the issue, things start to get interesting with DC's Trinity.

In issue 2, Manapul continues to write a peaceful issue where there is enough opportunity for the three to establish their superhero relationship and friendship. Wonder Woman and Batman are still not aloof with their new found friend, who clearly they care less for. But when the three if them are there, in their costumes, the Trinity really look great!

Francis Manapul is a competent writer and a brilliant storyteller. Although I did not understand what was happening for the most part, everything became clear at the end.

This issue wasn't as good as the last but I trust Manapul and know it's going to keep getting better. Loved the final appearance ;)

'Trinity #2' with art and script by Francis Manapul is just a great issue. Issue #1 was a dinner party. Issue #2 is a journey to the past.

At the end of the odd dinner party in last month's issue (Wonder woman brought a boar over her shoulder and Batman had to borrow one of Superman's shirts), something strange happened. This time around Superman has an opportunity to speak to his father, but Batman is convinced that this is a bad idea. When younger Clark runs away scared, Jonathan Kent turns to Superman for advice about his young son, little knowing that this is the man that the boy will become. Superman in turn gets some advice from Jonathan and is able to reassure him that he was a great father, but we all know that. The issue ends on one of those abrupt cliffhangers that seem to mark the Rebirth series.

The story and art are just perfect. I love the cover as well. I'm two issues in and not much has happened, but I really, really like this series. It's been mainly Superman's show up to this point, so we'll see what happens, but I'm enjoying this one more than I thought I would.

I received a review copy of this issue from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this issue.

This was interesting. I liked the "For the Man Who Has Everything" omage, and Poison Ivy is a... creative choice for a villian lol.

That reveal was a bummer, still a solid issue with amazing artwork. Thank you for existing, hope rest of rebirth graduate to this level over time.

As I was reading this, it was good... But not great. But that final page review earned this an extra star. I didn't see that coming. I am Very interested in seeing what happens next.

I received an advanced copy of this from NetGalley.com and the publisher. .

The issue was very okayish. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because of Poison Ivy, can't wait to see what she's planning!!

Weird Smallville time travel? Or is it? This seems like another one-off story. I am waiting for big story arc. It's worth reading, but I am disappointed so far with this series.

The reveal is a little strange, but I still feel enough affection for that character after a certain issue of All-Star Batman that I'll stick around for another.
