I don’t wear a wedding ring, but my heart belongs to him.
We joined souls, for a lifetime commitment, at a private collaring ceremony, not an expensive wedding. Zander’s wife, Patty, was present, and welcomed me into their family.
We don’t consider ourselves to be traditionalists in any sense of the word.
Most people wouldn’t understand our relationship. And, I guess, I wouldn’t expect them to.
I married my high school sweetheart and moved to the Philadelphia area after high school, and have been happily married for over twenty-five years. I'm the mother of two sons and a daughter. I'm a Project Manager by day and writer/reader of erotica by night.

"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2H...https://twitter.com/soapsrus68https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookR...http://booklikes.com/bloghttps://roma...https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebo...
Their eyes meet from across the room, next thing Sara knows she's seeing and experiencing things she never imagined. Zander and Patty are a happily married couple that own a sex club. They also have a very unconventional relationship. And Sara is about to become a huge part of their world. I loved the story line and the characters were easy to love. And the steamy parts had me reaching for the ice water and needing a cold shower.
Desiree A. Cox’s Poly Amore was a unique take on a non-traditional polyamorous relationship.
When Sara first sees Xander at the bar, she’s immediately attracted to him. He seems to be everything she finds physically attractive in a man. Hoping to get to know Xander, Sara attends a party where she meets a new friend, Patty. Patty and Sara immediately hit it off . . . what Sara does not realize at first, however, is that Patty and Xander are a married couple. While their friendship grows, It’s not until Patty asks Sara to help her decorate a hotel suite for her anniversary that things get heated between first Patty and Sara and later that evening between all three of them, that Sara begins to understand that Patty and Xander practice polyamory and would like her to be the third in their relationship.
Once formally asked to be part of their committed relationship, along with another one of their friend’s Kenny, Sara begins falling in love with all of them. While Patty is Xander’s wife and true love, Sara becomes his Baby Girl, calling Xander Daddy. Kenny is also a committed playmate in the relationship.
While this was not a typical romance, I really enjoyed reading and learning about how a polyamorous relationship could work. Things are not always smooth sailing, as there are multiple people involved, and jealousy and feelings play a part in how everyone functions within the relationship. I love that the author showed readers both the ups and downs in the relationship as well as shows how much communication and compromise plays a role, just as it does in a more traditional relationship setting.
The characters were well written and had depth. Sara’s journey into polyamory was interesting to read . . . especially since it was something she wasn’t really looking for. Watching her grow into the woman she wanted to become while learning how to handle living in a non-traditional relationship in a judgmental society was fascinating.
If you enjoy a non-traditional romance, this is a great read. Strong characters, steamy scenes and a great plot kept me turning page after page. 4 stars.
This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and it will not be the last. This is not a typical romance story, which is a refreshing change. This is the story of how Sara, who is alone, becomes wrapped up in a quintessential relationship, with Zander, Patty and Kenny. This is well written, and I loved the dynamics between these characters, and this is a steamy and intriguing read.
Poly Amore by Desiree A. Cox is a stand alone romance novel. Meet Daddy and his baby girl. Zander and his wife Patty are happily married and own a sex club. And then is there Sara, aka baby girl. Zander and Patty welcome her with open arms into their family. And then is there Kenny.
Poly Amore is a well written story with lovely characters, scorching hot sex scenes and a beautiful, beautiful relationship. I loved the story and I loved the characters. I loved the words- I could feel the characters emotions in the words. I recommend this book and give 5 Stars. Thank you Desiree A Cox !
This is my first by this author and was not sure what I was going to into reading this. But let me tell you it's worth it and I loved every word of it. Sara is one lucky girl who not only gets Zander and Patty she gets Kenny too and I am so jealous of her. Zander and Patty help open her up and help her realize what she is missing in her life not that she had a bad life, it just wasn't that exciting. Terri was supposed to be her good friend but couldn't learn to accept Sara's new life but then of course maybe she really wasn't a great friend after all! Part of me was hoping that Kenny and Sara would become an item that way they would be more closer to each other, but then things have a way of working out the way it should be. I would definitely recommend this book to those who love a good ménage plus one more. And I look forward to reading more books by this author.
While an undoubtedly steamy read, there was also a lot of heart and respect given the characters. Polyamory confounds me on a real life, make-it-work level. From all I've read of true experiences, it requires dedication, openness, and lots of communication. I think the author did a great job of portraying this, along with the more licentious benefits. ;) Any time I found myself uncomfortable or squirmy with the situation, I reminded myself to not personalize the story. Patty, Zander, and Sara (and Kenny) were very happy, and fortunate to find others to complete what they were looking for. I'm still a bit unsure on the long term viability of this for Sara, but she's happy for now, and they all love each other, and so I'm happy for them.
Wow!! I loved just about everything in this book. The relationship between Patty and Zander are not all that common, yet don't we all dream of just that thing? This Author did a tremendous job writing the different intricacies that can occur in such a lifestyle. The angst one feels, when adding a 3rd to their solid husband/spouse, although they both agreed, it does make one think. I also love the acknowledgments. Bonded by Books group is a wonderful group to form relationship, that will last a lifetime. It was kind of neat to see names we know and love.
If I was rating this book strictly based on the kinky sex scenes it would be a 5. The sex is super hot. There's a nice story and plot too. But the writing style just isn't my favorite (simplistic). Just a personal preference. Also the story moved too fast at times without a lot of deep emotional exploration. I was disappointed with the way Zander acted when Patty needed reassurance and she got it over a little too quickly and easily. Along those lines, Sara went from vanilla to a bi-sexual threesome without much emotional turmoil. So the story supporting the sex was light in my opinion but the erotica part was spot on.
From the moment Sarah looked across the room and saw Zander her life was going to change. She goes from being alone to being in the best relationship for her a quintessential. This is the life she chose for herself. This was a short book but covered everything it should. I thought it was well written and there really wasn't anything out of line. It is for over eighteen and contains some pretty steamy scenes, however it was also about the relationship between Zander, his wife Patty, Sarah, and Kenny. It was not trashy it is respectful to the characters in the book.
** I received an copy in exchange for an honest review**
This is my first time reading a book by this author and also a first regarding a quintessential quad. These four people make the cutest couple! Loved the dynamics between Zander, Patty, Sara and Kenny and how they try to keep all their ups and downs between the sheets!
Wow I wasnt sure I was going to enjoy this but boy was I wrong. This was my first book by this author but won't be my last. It was a great story with tons of steam. I highly recommend it!
Reviewed on behalf of amo and Sarah's book corner.
This is my second book by this author and I have to say I enjoyed just as much.
Story follows Sara and her relationship with Patty and Zander. When Sara meets Zander in a bar she is instantly attracted to him. She meets Patty at a party soon after not realising that Zander and Patty are married. Sara strikes up a friendship with Patty and they become close. When she finds out they are married she is upset at first, but what she doesn't know is that Zander and Patty are in a poly relationship which means they like having one or more people in their relationship.
So when they ask Sara to be their third she says yes and they start up a relationship but then Kenny who is a friend also joins in the relationship.
It's a short sexy read and I just love this author's style of writing. I will be reading many more.
