Enjoy the complete Volume 2 of the Gray Wolf Security series. Romance, Suspense, Mystery and a touch of Comedy. 6 Books. No Cliffhangers. More than 1,000 pages :)
Book 1: Defending Tierney I never wanted to be anything other than a defense attorney. I never imagined following in my father’s footsteps would would mean finding death threats stuck under my car’s windshield. But it did lead me to Gray Wolf Security and the hot, sexy, former-Navy SEAL who would turn my world upside down and make me see my profession in a new light.
Book 2: Forgiving Bailey I saw him standing off to one side at the funeral, but when I looked again, he was gone. I told myself it was just wishful thinking. Ingram didn’t want anything to do with me. After what I’d done on the witness stand during his court martial…he spent five years in the brig because of me. He would never come looking for me again.
Book 3: Taming Knox I saw him sitting at a corner of the bar. He had these penetrating gray eyes that were just so intriguing. I walked over and made small talk, aware that he was looking at my ass, my thighs. He was a leg man. I could work with that. But then he mentioned a wife and I was off that stool faster than he could say wedding ring. He found me a few minutes later, whispering about his dead wife and I was just drunk enough to find it romantic. One night. That’s all it was supposed to be.
Book 4: Controlling Brooks I didn’t need a babysitter. It was my husband’s idea to hire Gray Wolf Security, his idea to assign Elliott Wallace to watch over me while he was out of town. I’d rather be on my own, but that was the problem, wasn’t it? My husband couldn’t stand the idea that I might talk to someone outside of his control, that I might have a mind of my own. But I did and I wasn’t about to sit still and let Elliott tell me what to do and how to do it. Never mind that Elliott was probably the hottest guy I’d ever met or that my marriage, a convenient arrangement, was nearing its end.
Book 5: Chasing Pepper I went to my sister because I had nowhere else to go. And it was incredibly convenient that her husband happened to own Gray Wolf Security and they were looking into a rash of robberies that I happened to have intimate knowledge about. I could keep tabs on the investigation, could know before anyone else if they were close to a suspect. All I had to do was have a beer or two with the handsome former Marine who was assigned the case.
Book 6: Freeing Kipling My family was murdered while I was overseas and I had no control. Then the killer confessed and I still had no control. And now he’s dead—not by my hand as much as I desired it—and I’ve lost it all. But then his sister shows up at the front gate screaming that she has evidence that he is innocent. And suddenly there’s a chance at control, a chance to find the people who committed this heinous act and make them pay once and for all. Revenge had never been so sweet. And when it comes with a beautiful woman attached, a woman who’s been a thorn in my side for ten years, but so beautiful and making me remember that I was once a man, a viral man who felt things, a passionate man who knew pleasure, how could I resist?

This GRAY WOLF SECURITY Volume 2 box set is Glenna Sinclair's GRAY WOLF SECURITY, TEXAS complete series. The stories were as thrilling, suspenseful and amazing as the previous ones.
Glenna Sinclair did a phenomenal job, she brought us everyday issues and characters that won our hearts even when we wanted to knock some sense into them.
I recommend this box set, it's another winner. Two thumbs up!
Defending Tierney Alexander Garcia used to be a Navy Seal, but came home when his younger sister Vanessa was raped and brutally beaten. He now works for Gray Wolf Security 2 in Texas. Tierney Michaels who is a criminal defense lawyer has been getting death threats. She has hired Gray Wolf to protect her and Alexander is assigned her case. He hates lawyers as one for the scum bag off that raped and beat his sister, but he is a professional and will do his job. He is trying to figure out who is sending Tierney death threats. She is defending a young man named Brendan who has been charged with kidnapping a young girl near where he lives. Tierney thinks it may be the young girls parents who is threatening her.
I just love all the Gray Wolf books, this is no exception. Since I have read the previous books, I knew all about David and his brother Ash who own the firm. It was nice to catch up on what has been going on the last few years. I was also so heartbroken to hear what happened to Alex’s sister and how it has affected her life. I hate to see bad people fo u s is an exciting Book where I was rooting for the good guys. I liked Tierney and Alex together and how they helped each other. I strongly encourage you to read the book.
Forgiving Bailey Ingram Porter had been in the Navy, but was given a dishonorable discharge after being in the brink for five years. He had assaulted an officer to save Bailey Greer who was his boss. Ingram had grown up in foster care and did not trust anyone. He had left Bailey get under his defenses and trusted her. Unfortunately Bailey had to betray him and he immediately hated her. Five years later he is working at Gray Wolf Security. Bailey’s father comes to see him and asks him to promise to take care of Bailey if anything ever happens to him. Even though Ingram can’t stand Bailey now, he promises he will watch over her. The next day Bailey’s father dies.
There is so many secrets and betrayal in this story. I was so upset how much the admirals and some superior officers took advantage of women, especially the women in the Navy. I felt so bad for Bailey and what she had to do to protect Ingram, but not tell him. It broke my heart. The story was exciting and action paced at times. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read the book.
Taming Knox Knox Adams was tough and worked for Gray Wolf Security. She had one night stands, but never anything more. All this stemmed from something that happened In her past. She met Dunlap Spencer one night at a bar and had a one night stand. He was different from anyone she had slept with, but knew she would never see him again. Little did she know she was going to be assigned to be a nanny for his two children to make sure he was taking care of the children. They were both shocked to see the other.
This was so good. Knox’s wife had died in their jacuzzi. His mother-in-law accused him of killing his wife. His wife had some problems in her past that she never told anyone u til he encouraged her to go to a therapist. At first his six year old Stevie gave Knox a hard time, but then they became close. I loved his two girls and the relationship they had with Dunlap. Sometimes it is easy to hide crazy until it comes out and you look back to see the clues! This was exciting and a touching romance. I strongly encourage you to read the book.
Controlling Brooks Elliot Wallace was assigned to watch Brooks Alvarez the wife of Juan Teran Maximillian Alvarez. Elliot’s ex wife was unfaithful and he trusts no woman now. Juan owns two of the best restaurants in Austin, and David is hoping to get more business from Juan. Juan has kept his wife a prisoner in their home. She hasn’t been out for awhile and talks Elliot into taking her out shopping. She ends up making sure they were at a specific drug store that day. Elliot thinks she is there to see her lover, when in reality she is there to see her brother Jimmy. Jimmy had an accident a few years back and has brain damage. He is in a facility to help him, but Juan won’t let Brooks visit him anymore. Elliot and Brooks start talking and Elliot finds out things in this house is not what the Security firm thought was going on.
This was another exciting book that I loved. It is suspenseful with romance. Juan is an awful person for the most part that I didn’t like much until the end of the book. He had a few redeeming qualities. I loved Elliott and Brooks together. I strongly encourage you to read the book.
Chasing Pepper Nolan Everett was the newest operative at Gray Wolf Security 2 and was a loner. No one seemed to trust him yet so he kept to himself and watched everyone. One day a woman came to the compound and it was Pepper Dennison Ricki’s sister that she hasn’t seen for 17 years. Their younger years had not been happy years because of Pepper’s father and Riki’s step father. Riki is having a hard pregnancy and is confined to bed until she has her baby. David asks Pepper to stay and help with her sister and take care of their young son Chase. Riki is not too happy about this. Pepper is attracted to Nolan and they begin to talk. Nolan is on a case that has a man using women to rob places. The women that have been caught will not give any information on the man, and the women caught are sent to prison.
I loved this book too. Nolan and Pepper are to broke soles that hep each other. Nolan is such a nice, quiet good man. Pepper has never had a good man in her life. I also felt bad for Riki and Pepper and how missed up their relationship is now. I felt that Pepper really wanted to be close or Riki again. This book is exciting with a good love story. I strongly encourage you to read the book.
Freeing Kipling Kipling McKay’s wife was raped and then brutally murdered along with his almost three year old daughter, just before he was to come back from a mission overseas. Mickey Connors admitted to the murders. Kipling has been following the case for ten years with so much hatred for Mickey. During this time Mickey’s sister Harley has been trying to prove his innocence. Kipling has been working with Gray Wolf 2 for awhile when Harley comes to the compound on Thanksgiving to talk to Kipling. Mickey was killed in prison just before a DNA test came back proving he did not murder Kipling’s family. Kipling and Harley took off to Houston to try to figure out who really did kill his family. Their journey was filled with pain, threats, shocking evidence and a romance that Kipling didn’t see coming. This was such a heartbreaking act that was committed to Kipling’s family that I just wanted to cry. I felt so bad for Harley as she was the only person who believed in her brother and she was alone. I was happy to see Kipling start to let go of this dark side and let himself love again. I so loved all these stories and strongly encourage you to read the set.
So we have more from the guys of Gray Wolf Security, I liked the first series, and this is more of the same, operatives falling in love with the people they are supposed to protect. It's a new team, but we still have references to the people from the other series, with David, the brother of the founder of the original team, leading the new team. I didn't like how much they repeated the same thorugh the books. I get you need to give a little background in case someone is reading the books as standalone, but for someone reading the bundle it gets very annoying.
Defending Tierny
It's a simple setting, Tierny is a lawyer receiving threats, Alexander is an operative that hates lawyers. Of course, there's something that brings them together and they end up falling in love. I liked that the story is simple, but interesting, and is set in a way that makes it credible. Some of the things that they do seem a little amateur, they are supposed to be highly trained people, and make a few very silly mistakes, but at the end they manage to save the day.
Forgiving Bailey
For some reason this book reminded me of Donovan's book. It was about Bailey and Ingram. They knew each other, but ended up their relationship when Ingram was accused of assaulting a superior officer and Bailey helped to send him to jail by declaring against him. If you are reading the series, you will have a lot of repeated scenes from the first book, and that can get annoying.
Taming Knox
I don't like the title, but the story wasn't that bad. Again, I feel like the story was similar to Joss' story from the first series, but in a way I feel like Knox was a stronger character despite her problems and vices. Despite Knox relationship being very similar to that of Joss, the plot it's different, not giving us the same script that with the others.
Controlling Brooks
I don't know how to feel about this one, in general it wasn't bad, but there were a lot of small details that I didn't like, just small things that did not make sense and made it hard for me to get into the story. Also the fact that Elliot kept saying "this is not how we do things in this country, here we don't hit our wives", well, a lot of people do, it's one of those things that don't care about race, status, education, not even gender, abuse can come from anyone, the fact that he blamed it on his race was, well, racist.
Chasing Pepper
I liked Pepper, in some ways she was very innocent an in others not so much. Her experiences were very different from those of her sister Ricki, but she was affected by them. I was not expecting her sister to treat her the way she did, I got the impression from Ricki's book that she liked and missed her sister, even if she left her behind. Nolan on the other hand, I felt was very immature in how he handled things with his fiancee and family, but I liked how he worked and how he was with Pepper when he wasn't hung up with his past. Pepper made a lot of mistakes, but I get that she was as traumatized by what happened to them as kids as Ricki was, even if their experiences were different, but I liked that despite being broken she was strong and that she managed to overcome her problems and face her mistakes.
Freeing Kipling
Kipling is a character we have seen in the background in the other books in the series, getting snippets of his story here and there, but now is his turn and since he is such an important person for the other characters we see everyone getting together for him, even the people from the original GWS team. The way everything was connected sounded far too complicated, but I guess it kind of worked for what the book needed, for it connected most of the stories into one. The grief angle worked, explaining how he could be so blind to what really happened, but it took him too long to see the truth.
These 6 interconnected stories have some characters from GWS 1 books and many new ones. There is still a lot of action and very complex characters who deal with some major issues. I loved them all, but I have to say that I loved Kipling the best. That was the last story and not as long as the others, but I was anxiously awaiting his happy ever after. This was a great ending for both the first and the second series as they both show up here I got both series as Kindle bundles that were well worth it, in my opinion.
If you like lots of action, former military characters, and emotionally complex issues, then I think you would like these. Try the non-Texas one, since that is the first series. Chances are good that if you do, you will be getting this one next! Enjoy!
Maybe more of a 3.5. We see a lot of crossover characters from the original GWS series with some new ones whose characters we see grow and develop until their story comes along. Brooks' story was probably my least favorite and I found myself with a few eye rolls. As much as I like David and Ricki's story from the original GWS, their level of smitten was a bit much at times. And I don't remember from the original, but there were several grammar mistakes, misspellings, and wrong word choices peppered throughout this one. While it's not a huge deal, attention to detail goes a long way. I really liked the first series, but I'm almost afraid to continue reading this one because I was a little more disappointed in it and I don't want to feel like I wasted my time and disappointed.
Didn't think I was going to enjoy this book as I did the first two. It started pretty much in the same vane as the other books, I had read the first two books and started this one without a pause. So I put it aside and to read something different. A few days later I started from where I left off and it was good again. The last three stories in particular and especially the Freeing Kipling story, which ended too soon for me. I hope Glenna Sinclair writes more Grey Wolf Security, because I love the characters and want to know more about them.
I read books 1-5 individually, but when I saw that this bundle had Kipling's story... I knew I HAD to have it!!! OMG!! I was not disappointed!!! While I loved the first 5 books, Kipling's book had me at the edge of my seat. I NEEDED him to have a HEA..... he had already been through too much. I loved that we watched him grow from Book 2 to his own book.... from a strict... kind of introvert... to someone who considered his friends... Family. I loved it!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book bundle, each character and all of their complicated lives, past and present. Some might say that all of those things can't really happen to one family, but I know different, it does to mine all of the time. Anyway it was an extremely good read with great characters and exciting story lines. I WOULD eagerly recommend this book bundle to anyone of course after reading the first Grey Wolf Security bundle!!!
I love all the Gray Wolf books as well as Glenna's Dragon Security books. I'm looking forward to reading more of Glenna's books. My only complaint is the editing by whomever does it. I'm finding numerous typos, misused words & timeline discrepancies. It's very difficult to find your own mistakes as I am well aware of and I'm not very good with punctuations myself. I do recommend reading her books though & ignoring the errors.
As always, the stories are entertaining. I really could live without the graphic s3x scenes, but I can flip through them easily enough. The author needs a better editor. Many instances of malapropisms, using complacent when complicit would have made sense. Some fragments of an earlier version of a sentence were not cleaned up. I could write technically correct sentences, but I don’t have her creative talent. Good reading!
Wonderful stories in this series. Each operator has his or her own book. I got a bit confused, thought my kindle had jumped, because some of the chapters seemed to be exactly the same as in previous books. They were and I only noticed as I read all books at once. If you read them as standalone, you would need that info for the stories to make sense. Awesome yet twisted stories. Glenna certainly knows how to write books.
I like the way Ms Sinclair reference characters from the first book into the second book. The story lines are believable & interesting. I really like the Grey Wolf series.
So as a side bar question, in reference to the goodreads reading goal do others count each story as 1 book read (i.e. 6 books read since there are 6 stories in this series combo) or does this count as just 1 book read?
I enjoyed this series and the first series. The characters are great and the story lines layered and entertaining with the right amount of suspense, action, and romance. But I wish the author would lose the c-word for the female anatomy!!!
Living these great wolf series can't get enough and greAt value for money. I love the writing there sad funny happy intense with mystery action and romance honestly highly recommend these books
Read Stone books first, enjoyed very much, rated 5 star. Gray wolf series similar to Stone series. Too many repetitive sex scenes, more sex than action. If you like sex scenes these are the books for you.
The characters are compelling and the storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat. Ex military turned security services. Meet the men and women who make up Gray Wolf Security 2. Follow their adventures and romance.
Loved the books great stories the characters so real.
These books and the characters in them are so full of love and the problems that happened or could ha End in real life. I loved them and had a hard time putting them down I would recommend them to anyone
I'm loving this series of books, I can't wait to read the others. I love these characters. This author has me hooked, I love her writing. Looking forward to reading more of her books.
