Great read! found this very interesting to read and was glad i didn't pass it up,enjoy the suspense, crime aspect, the view of how the justice system works against certain people, chemistry of all involve, great pacing and editing, good family dynamic from both sides, nice supporting cast, great storytelling... awesome conclusion..recommend to everyone
Liked it. Probably would have loved it if Marnie wasn't so boneheadingly stubborn. This makes my 25th Lydia Rose book, heh. And my 300'th for the year. Woot. Made my challenge like 3 months early. Ugh.
I seem to have a soft spot for Lydia Rose books. If read pretty much all her stories and she continues to get better in her story telling and writing. This book is no exceptions.
Marnie is high power criminal lawyer on the verge of case overload burn out. When her best friend Shelia suggests a vacation she eventually agrees only to get in some small town in Georgia. Her she meets cafe/dinner owner Leslie whose brother needs legal help. The story really focuses on how two people, with two different lives, in two different states no less, try to have a relationship of sorts. It's an interesting love story though I wish there was a little more drama with Patty or even a little more interaction with the characters two best friends (i can't remember Leslie's best friends name but her Shelia would make a fun story too). Anyway...it's a good story. If your a fan of Rose's work then you will not be disappointed.
This is an okay book with a sweet story. That being said, I was frustrated with what I call "instant love" in this book. The main characters interact very little before BAM! they are saying they're in love with one another. Just my humble opinion, but that drives me nuts. I'm sure I will check out her other books because t was still an enjoyable read.
The first 50% of the books is fine. But after that I feel everything happened so fast. The story hit some of cliche of romance formulas but I think I can enjoy this more if it build up slowly. The writing need improvement.
I've trouble with Ms. Rose's works in the past. One of my complaints has been editing and another is character development. She has solved the first problem. The second problem has been mostly solved. However, it isn't enough to just develop the main characters; the supporting cast must also be honed. As in other of her stories, important supporting cast just disappear, like her high school friend in Miami. He was such a great friend, yet we hear nothing of him after the first act. I think this writer has potential, but needs to continue to hone her craft.
I've read a few of this author's books and I'm pleased to say that yet again I was not disappointed. It's easy to read and hard to put down. Actually not so hard, more impossible. You find yourself screaming at the book trying to get the two lead characters to open their eyes. It will also make you laugh. Best way to describe this book is that it's just a great read which is very well written. It will make you smile. Enjoy!
Marnie is a prestigious criminal attorney, Leslie is the owner of a cafe in a small town of Georgia, they are opposites in everything but they met in strange circumstances, their story is unique and charming, and romantic. Martie had to choose between the love of her life and her job in New York... I enjoyed their story and I recommend it... In the Rose style ...
I thought this was a beautiful story. You never know where you will find your true love. I love the story of the main characters and the journey to each other. I especially love the ending of the book. Sometimes accidents can be the best things to happen. I will recommend this book to everyone.
I loved Accidental Love By Lydia Rose. Absolutely great story. Great characters. I couldn't put it down. I hope for a book II or sequel or a series. Please ask Audible to add this to their collection.
Lydia always write how I like: straight to the point, with amount of romance that makes you feel in a fairy tale. I could put the story to rest. Love it! Wished it was my story.
