As an adult, this book is often painful to read. But, over the course of the 8 weeks of reading - usually a story or two a day - my son's reading skills have improved so much. Trust the process and power through.

It's hard for adults to get excited about early readers with controlled vocabulary and some out of date words like nag but, . . .

I appreciated the I Can Read It! series for the phonetic emphasis (less sight words) and there seemed to be less word repetition after the first couple of stories than in some other earliest readers we've seen. My kids like the simple stories and illustrations and felt confident as their reading improved.

This book has been added incorrectly. The title is actually "I Can Read It! Book 1".

I didn't really like this book. My mom had me read it. I didn't like this book because my mom forced me to read it. If my mom had not forced me to read it I would have rated it 10 out of 10 stars. Goodbye. The end.
