Lincoln Cole is a Columbus based author who enjoys traveling and has visited many different parts of the world, including Australia and Cambodia, but always returns home to his pugamonster puppy, Luther, and family. His love for writing was kindled at an early age through the works of Isaac Asimov and Stephen King and he enjoys telling stories to anyone who will listen.
This is a must-read for anyone wanting to submit to the Kindle Scout program and be successful. Lincoln Cole is not only a bestselling author, he's a Kindle Scout author. He took his expertise analyzed all aspects of the Kindle Scout program and wrote it all down. This guide is easy to read and understand. Invaluable information from an insider. Highly Recommend!
Cole provides great insights into the Kindle Scout Program, which are helpful when you are plannng your own campaign. His writing is clear and easy to read. My only complaint is that I think it's expensive, but it's the only book of it's kind out there.
Great informative read about Kindle Scout. I wanted to read something that would give me an insight into what I might potentially try with my own books in the future. If you are thinking about it I definitely recommend this book so you know what to prepare for.
I love how-to books written by people who have actually done what I want to do, and have been successful doing it.
I nominated Lincoln Cole's book Raven's Peak through Kindle Scout, then didn't think much of it again until I got an email saying it had been selected and for me to retrieve my free copy. How exciting!
That got me to thinking about the process of Kindle Scout selections; and low-and-behold, Lincoln wrote about it. What I like about this book is that Lincoln (his pen name) has an ease with words while at the same time giving you critical information. The book was very thorough covering details about the Scout program, the contract you sign, if it will be worth it to you, campaigning and what to expect if your book is selected or not. He also addresses rumors about the program.
Not only is this a complete guide, but it was an easy read and something I will refer my writer friends to if they decide to go the Kindle Scout route.
Well written and insightful 'how to' book on the ins and outs and pros and cons of Amazon's "Kindle Scout" publishing program. I published my first novel as an indie and learned a lot along the way. Though it has done well, there was a lot I wish I had known beforehand. I'm thinking of going the Kindle Scout route with my next novel, so this was a very helpful guide. Highly recommended if you are thinking about publishing via Kindle Scout and want to understand how to optimize your chances of being selected.
As a Kindle Scout winner, I highly recommend Lincoln Cole's Kindle Scout Guide. I learned things I didn't know about KS, even after running my campaign last summer. It's as if Lincoln is sitting in Starbucks with you, chatting about KS and all he's learned and compiled. He also offers resources, including the statistics he's compiled and other websites.
There's a ton of excellent info here, and handy links to blog posts and resources by others. This book is required reading if you are going to submit your book to amazon's kindle scout program.
