Does life imitate art? One Romance writer is about to find out.

Abbey Miller is a successful romance novelist who always gives her characters their HEA, even if she is yet to find her own. So Abbey is less than enthusiastic when she returns home to Charlotte Island and encounters Sean Copeland, the boy who tormented her growing up and the one person she hoped to never see again.

Sean had a secret crush on Abbey, but his misguided actions as a troublemaker prevented him from revealing his true feelings. Abbey is determined to not let Sean get the better of her. Sean wonders if he can ever act differently toward Abbey and convince her to take a chance on love. When the two find themselves working together, Abbey experiences feelings she has only ever written for her characters. Has she finally found her own happily ever after . . . or is Sean still the same guy from their childhood?

Always You is the second book in the Charlotte Island series of stand alone clean romance novels. If you enjoy emotional and heartwarming stories, relatable characters, and visiting a favorite place, then you will love Jason Patrick’s romantic book and series.

I began writing fictional stories as a teen, but it wasn’t until my early 40s that I began a career as an author. As an Indie author I enjoy both the creative process and having greater control over the business aspects of publishing my books. I write fictional Sagas and Romance featuring emotional and heartwarming stories, relatable characters, and locations that are like visiting a familiar and favorite place. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

I am married to the love of my life; we have an incredible teenage son, and a truly sweet family dog (pictured with me — she’s offering a big, wet kiss). In addition to writing, I enjoy reading (naturally), movies, music, travel, and sports.

One of the best parts of being an Indie author is hearing from my readers. Please feel free to contact me through email on my contact page or connect with me on Facebook. I respond to all messages personally.

Also, if you haven’t already, I invite you to join my Reader Group. When you do, you will receive an immediate FREE download of my Charlotte Island novella Learning to Love Again. You can join my Reader Group at my website.

This is a fantastic short read about Josh and Abbey. Abbey goes to Charlotte Island for the Romance Books Association Annual Conference being held at the Charlotte Inn. Josh is the manager and picks Abbey up from the airport. He used to torment her before she moved. Can they be friends or even more now or will she not be able to let go of their past interactions? Grab your copy and get ready for a feel-goood story.

I LOVED this story about romance author, Abbey, running into Sean who was the manager of the Charlotte Inn where Abbey was attending the Romance Book Association Conference. Since she was a well known romance author (known as the Queen of Romance) she was a speaker at the conference. Abbey had known Sean when they were kids growing up on Charlotte Island and he had teased and tormented her something awful. She'd had a pretty bad childhood with Sean's teasing and her parents divorce. After the divorce, Abbey's mother moved them away so she hadn't seen Sean since then and was not happy to have anything to do with him again. Sean had definitely changed - for the better. Sean had always had feelings for Abbey and Abbey for him - just not positive feelings like Sean's. Can Sean make Abbey see who he is now and get her to change the way she feels about him?

I am so glad I got a complementary copy of Always You to review because I found this sweet romance to be so well written that I flew through the pages and hated for it to end. Abbey is a great character who came across as a wonderful, strong woman to her readers since she was a successful romance author, when really she wasn't very confident in herself and couldn't find love. Sean was a very good manager, keeping the Inn running smoothly and handling any problems quickly and competently. He was even a good friend to Abbey becoming someone she could rely on. I really liked this pair.

If a romance author can bring a reader to happy tears at the end of the book, that author has done a great job. This is what Jason Patrick has done.

rcvd ARC for a honest review. we meet abby, an author who was just named the queen of romance, she is set to be tbr guest speaker at a romance book convention....the downside it is on charlotte island...where all she remembers is pain. pain of being teased by a boy named sean and pain of seeing her parents constantly fighting then divoricing. sean is the hotel manager where the book convention is being held..he is gobsmacked by the beauty abby has turned into. abby is shocked to see sean...picking her up and looking scrumptious no less. Abby and sean spend some time together, gettig to know one another. after a fabulous first kissed they are both smitten. can abby look past what happened with her parents? can she envison a future with sean? can she open her heart?

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. Reduced to a single word my review is “Fantastic!” From page one the story reaches out and grabs you. The characters have depth, the story is totally believable, and valuable lessons are interwoven in the story line. I loved the chemistry between the characters. Although this is a standalone story, I was delighted to find characters introduced previously. However, Jason does such a good job that this is definitely a standalone offering. I devoured this rather short story in one sitting. I heartily endorse Jason as an author whose work is of the highest quality.

This is a sweet romance that is well written and you flow through the pages so quickly that you are surprised when you get to the end. Abbey is a wonderful, strong woman to her readers as she is a successful romance author but really she wasn't very confident and couldn't find love for herself. Sean was a manager at the Inn on the island where they had grown up, when they were children he used to tease Abbey and she thought he hated her. When she comes back to be a guest speaker at the writer's convention something stirs between them........... I really enjoyed reading this and received it for my honest and unbiased review.
