I really wanted to like this book. I was originally drawn in by the cover and the description of the book. I have really been into new adult and romances lately, so I thought this would be a really good read. Now, before I get into it, I just want to say that this is not me bashing the book in any way. This is just my honest opinion.

This book was definitely missing a lot. It was a short book, but that’s not why it seemed like things were missing. It seemed rushed. I didn’t feel like I was able to get to know the characters. The story starts and we find out the Kandy has a secret that she was hiding. We find out the secret soon after. The situation between the characters was rushed and very unrealistic. I can say that I always like when a story has alternate perspectives. A lot could have been done with this.

A Taste For Kandy by author Rhian Cahill was a sweet and cute holiday story. Kandy and Parker are two very likable characters that you want good things to happen to. They both harbored a crush on each other that resulted in one night of passion together and Kandy keeping a secret from Parker. I loved how sweet and caring Parker was of Kandy. I enjoyed going along for the ride with Kandy and Parker as they finally admitted their feelings for one another and worked through the secret reveal. Another good holiday story by this author.

A Taste for Kandy is a fun, short, romantic holiday story. Kandy Cane has always dreamed of her happy-ever-after, but with Christmas approaching and her friends all with mates and budding families, she's feeling a bit sad. Kandy's extremely happy for her friends, but longing for own Mr. Right and little ones. When an opportunity presents itself with her long-time friend, Parker, Kandy quickly jumps on it without telling him the whole story.

But as they say, sometimes you don't see what's right in front of your face...

Parker Jones has had a thing for Kandy since he was a young boy, but she only sees him as a friend. Now that Parker has Kandy's attention and a chance to show her just how important she is to him, he's going to prove to her that her happy-ever-after has been right in front of her all the while.

I enjoyed Kandy and Parker and it was fun to visit with characters from previous books.

Recommended holiday read!

There's only so much conflict and resolution that an author can fit into fifty pages, so the opportunity for development here is limited. If I didn't know any better... I'd say that the synopsis is longer than the actual story, haha. Nevertheless, I was looking for something quick and cute and full of Christmas, and that's exactly what this book is. You can expect some holiday spirit, unrequited (but eventually reciprocated) love, and a happy ending.

This book is for the holiday-loving elves who only have a few minutes to spare.

Kandy Cane is looking for love but she wasn't lucky in that department.. she feels lonely and she feels her age as well.
Parker has been in love with Kandy since he was fifteen. he wants to be more than a friend to Kandy but Kandy doesn't seem to want him more than a friend.
after a Christmas party, Kandy had an one night stand with Parker and that changed everything for both of them.

it was really short read with holiday theme. it was cute but it was too short. I wished there were more.

This was such a great short Christmas read. Parker has had feelings for Kandy from the time he was fifteen years old. Kandy wasn't aware of his feelings, but with everyone else around her finding their happy ever after, she takes advantage of a night with Parker trying to find part of her own happy every after. But with one lie to Parker she starts to feel guilty. Can he forgive her and make her realize he just might be her life long dream?

I have been waiting for Kandy's story since Chris and Jack's stories! Rhian Cahill did not disappoint me! This is a short and sweet Christmas story about Kandy who is envious of what her friends have. She makes a mistake and lies to her friend Parker during their night together. Parker wants a happily ever after but Kandy is afraid that she ruined everything with her lie. Can they move past it? I loved Kandy and Parker together! This was such a sweet Christmas romance! I would definitely recommend it!

Another delectable tale from the ever talented Rhian Cahill. A Taste For Kandy is just the right length to whet your appetite and still leave a reader wanting more. Kandy is a woman in need of some holiday temptation and Parker could prove to be the antidote she needs to give her that Christmas miracle. Funny or die addictive with a nostalgic feel, a heartwarming message and a great deal of sex appeal. I think I'm in love.

Sweet, sexy short story from Rhian Cahill, the last in the trilogy of Frosty's Snowmen. I thought this was a great story about Kandy, who makes a split-second decision which could have some serious consequences, and Parker, who has always been infatuated with her. A quick, fun read with a SWEET happy ending! Love the camaraderie with Jack and Chris.

This was an ok read for me. I had a few issues with Kandy's actions in the beginning, but she owned up to them and everything worked out for the better. I loved how sweet and protective Parker was, and how he seemed to know exactly what she needed.

If you are looking for a quick holiday read, I would recommend this one.

This was a cute, light christmas read. I'm kind of surprised with how much I enjoyed this and I'm not interested in reading the other books in this novella series.
